Classic Car Overview
1952 Skyline Deluxe.
To clear. This is no show car. This isn't even done right. It was someone else's Frankenstein I bought over 10 years ago as a hobby. The dream was to spend time with my kids working on it and driving them around. I did that for about 2 years then life had other plans. Kids became the focus. A long-distance relocation from FL to NY, took a while even get the car in my garage again. Since then, I've lost interest and cash flow to do this correctly. I feel if you don't do it right - don't start.
It came with a SB 305 & 250 R4. I yanked out the crappy 305, dropped in a used SB 400 given to me by family and kept the tranny. I added an aluminum radiator, Chevy Performance serpentine kit, custom exhaust, some vintage looking gauges, and enjoyed driving it around Florida. It was a fun classic.
It still has manual brakes, a crappy worn out interior from the 90s - at least it smells like the 90s. The previous owner did set the body on what appears to be a Camaro rear end (8 inch) and front clip (non rack n pinion). The previous Owner welded on the radiator support and hacked the wheel-wells. There is also some interesting wiring methods that I planned on gutting but never found the time to do so. He threw on timeless wheels, and some pretty good tires. It comes with all the parts that aren't installed and a TH350, if interested. Theres some random trim pieces, and entire duplicate front grille assembly.
Since moving to NY, I lose 9 months of driving and it's too cold to work on in the garage. The most action it sees it being moved from the garage every November 1 to the inflatable storage cover and back every May1.
Things I've purchased for it but never installed:
-Power brake conversion kit. Booster, fire wall pedal, etc.
-floor mounted emergency brake handle and cables.
- Steering column is in, but do not have a proper way to mount it to the dash.
I'm asking $10k even but would entertain reasonable offers. I'm not asking premium but not giving it away either.
I'd rather see it with someone else who has time to treat it like the piece of automotive history it is. I've had people ask for the engine and tranny, but it needs to go as one package.
