1952 Chevrolet 3600

This 1952 Chevy 3600 flatbed truck is a standout piece of automotive history with a fascinating backstory. Having spent 95% of its life in the dry climate of Northern Nevada, the truck boasts a solid body with no rust, and its only imperfections are a few cosmetic dings. With a bit of attention, it will be ready for a fresh coat of paint to highlight its classic charm.
The truck holds a special place in my heart as a project shared with my daughter, who had a deep appreciation for vintage vehicles. Together, we poured our creativity and craftsmanship into this restoration. My daughter designed the side rails and was deeply involved in every step of the process, from cutting and gluing to clamping, sanding, and oiling the floorboards and side rails.
The flatbed features a custom-built back trunk box constructed from a blend of original floorboards and Cherry wood, adding a touch of unique character. The side rails are crafted from a combination of Cherry, Maple, and Walnut woods, inspired by the classic aesthetics of vintage skateboards and water skis. The floorboards are made from 1 1/4" thick Maple and Cherry planks, ensuring durability and a rich, warm finish.
This truck was my daughter's daily driver during her time at the University of Reno, Nevada, and it showcases a one-of-a-kind, personalized touch and reflects her love of old vehicles. It remains primarily original but has been thoughtfully updated with a 12-volt electrical system, alternator, new battery, stereo with CD player, new gas tank, and radiator. The truck is equipped with a 1954 235 straight-six-cylinder engine, which I had rebuilt in 2011. With around 10,000 miles on the rebuilt engine, it starts effortlessly and runs smoothly.
Featuring the iconic "three on the tree" manual transmission, this classic truck not only turns heads but is also ready for a new owner to enjoy.
