Classic Car Overview

The first generation of the Ford F-series dates back all the way to 1948. It was also known as the Ford Bonus-Built trucks. This was a huge deal for Ford as it sunk 1 Million dollars in to the design and tooling to create the all-new cab. At the time, this was huge money for such a project, especially a truck considering trucks were not as common as they are today and were still primarily used for commercial or farm use. Clearly they hit a home-run because we all know what the truck market is like today. What we have here is a really cool, not perfect cosmetically F1 that has just gone through a mechanical and electrical restoration if you will. Just completed was a $15,000 refresh of all mechanical and electrical components with receipts. The black paint was done some time ago with some cracking, fading and overall wear and tear but looks the part of a truck . These Flathead V8s have such a nice and iconic sound with this truck firing right up and idling as it should. All the gauges and lights are in great working order with new wiring throughout. The truck shifts well and brakes well with all new rubber including the spare. The running boards and under the grill part of the body is fiberglass, but the rest of the truck including fenders are steel. This is a get in and go vehicle that has had everything done to be enjoyed. Please let us know if you have any questions.
