1951 Chevrolet 3100
Truck Car for sale in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin 53066
Following in the tradition of previous Ford factory built Mustang race cars like the 1968 Cobra Jet, the Boss 429 and the FR500S Mustang Challenge car, Ford Racing and AAI started work on a production run of 50 Cobra Jet Mustangs in January 2010. Ford Racing built 50 Cobra Jet Mustangs at Ford vendor facilities.
One thing that the crew at Volo Auto Museum understands is that context is everything. They have gone the extra mile to display each movie car with memorabilia and signage that brings the scene to life. The museum features actual movie props such as Tom Cruise's racing seat from Days Of Thunder.

Classic Car Overview
1951 Chevrolet 3100 $25,000
1951 Chevy 3100
454 big block V8
400 turbo transmission
Power steering (recent addition, and it makes all the difference)
Touch Screen radio/dvd/nav/etc
AC and heat work very well
Disc brakes (front)
Seat belts (recent addition)
Shifting knob with gear label (a lot of old vehicles do not have this, which makes it difficult to be certain if you are in drive - this is another recent addition to the truck)
Very impressive Billet Specialties rims. Extremely wide rear tires that are often used on Dodge Vipers.
Knock-on/knock-off wheels (large center nut)
The front chrome and engine chrome are new
Lecarra steering wheel
Class 3 towing
17,237 miles since Flatlanders resto-mod build (current odomoter reading)
Less than 1,000 miles since Hot Rods and Custom Stuff additions a couple years ago...which is the main reason I'm selling it (no time for it)
It starts every time, and has always been kept in a heated garage with a battery tender.
The sound of the engine is as good as it gets...really impressive, and it's always a head turner
*needs paint...it looks great from a few feet away, but there are several areas that are chipping or bubbling (one behind the hood on the cab, one on the back of the cab where I had a magnetic sign, and probably a couple more...and there are numerous chips, especially in the bed)
**Note that this ad initially mentioned the truck might need minor metal work with the paint, but that was based on a picture that turns out to be the factory holes above the rear wheels. Not everyone even thinks the truck needs paint, even when seeing it in person, but don't have high expectations as the imperfections with the paint are numerous difficult to appreciate in pictures, video, and even in person without looking close.
It has a corrugated steel bed (not a wood bed). No fuel injection, but not necessary. I added a picture of the underbody - in person it looks like it would clean up nicely.
The price is firm. Other than paint, it has no issues. If the truck doesn't sell by the end of July I will likely have it painted, clean up the underbody, and keep it until at least early next summer.
