** This 1950 Mercury Eight (Custom) was created with over $100K + invested. (600 HP)!!

SPECS:
** This heavily customized vehicle, dubbed "Blurple" for its color-shifting paint, features extensive exterior modifications including a chopped top, shaved trim/handles, frenched lights, and staggered US Mags wheels. The custom interior boasts premium leather-like material, a suede headliner, blue digital gauges, a tilt, column, and a "bespoke console" housing modern amenities and a a ratchet shifter.
** Performance is delivered by a Goodwrench crate 350 engine (2,750 miles) equipped with a polished "Weiand" Supercharger (600 HP) and dual Edelbrock carbs. The vehicle also has upgraded systems throughout, including "Vintage Air" A/C, a 4 wheel disc brake setup, custom exhaust with electric dumps, and a revised suspension featuring a independent front clip with coil-overs and air shocks in the rear.
* Exterior: This 1950 Mercury features a deep, moody dark blue-violet exterior that commands attention while remaining firmly in "driver quality" condition. While the rich purple undertones pop beautifully in direct sunlight, the finish shows the honest character of a car meant to be driven rather than kept on a trailer. Close inspection reveals several areas that would benefit from professional paint correction to restore clarity and depth, as well as some minor chips and localized imperfections that require light touch-ups. Despite these cosmetic needs, the Merc maintains a 'strong street' presence, offering a perfect foundation for a classic cruiser that isn't afraid of the open road.
** The Merc has undergone "extensive custom" modifications, including being professionally chopped, nosed, decked, frenched, and shaved for a sleek, streamlined appearance. Up front, the bumper was removed and a custom section fabricated, with the headlights frenched and all hood trim eliminated. The sides feature removed moldings and handles, and the roof has been chopped. In the rear, trim was removed, taillights frenched, bumper removed, and the license plate recessed.
** The bodywork is of 'high quality' and remains straight. It is finished in an attractive, smooth, and glossy "blurple" paint (Shifting from purple to blue) with only minor imperfections. The car features smoked glass all around, chrome decorative lake pipes, and a sharp set of staggered "US Mags" wheels (18-inch front, 20-inch rear) wrapped in Continental tires.
* Interior: The interior boasts custom upholstered seats and door panels in a premium leather-like material, complemented by a suede-type headliner. Metal trim pieces are painted to match the exterior body color. The dashboard features blue digital gauges, a tilt steering column with a reproduction deluxe steering wheel, and a custom-made console. The console houses cup holders, a modern stereo, Vintage Air A/C (Climate controls), power window switches, and a 'cool' ratchet shifter for the Automatic transmission.
* Engine Compartment: Power comes from a Goodwrench crate 350 motor featuring 4-bolt mains, aluminum heads, and headers. A dominant feature is the polished Weiand Supercharger on top, equipped with dual 4-barrel Edelbrock carburetors and a dual hood scoop air cleaner. The engine bay is smooth and glossy, filled with premium fuel fittings, braided lines, and polished components including pulleys, alternator, brackets, valve covers, breathers, and plug wire holders. The Vintage Air A/C system has a polished compressor and stainless braided hoses. A new polished radiator with an electric fan, polished overflow tank, and stainless hose manages cooling of this Merc.
* Transmission: A New: (Turbo 400 "Automatic transmission" with an Aluminum pan) complete the power-train.
* Trunk Compartment: The trunk is accessed via a release in the door jamb. Inside, it is boxed and carpeted to match the interior. A battery is hidden behind a panel and features a disconnect switch. Controls for the adjustable air shocks are also located here.
* Underside: The chassis features an upgraded front clip with independent suspension, tubular control arms, adjustable cold-over gas shocks, and rack & pinion steering. The rear utilized leaf springs with lowering blocks and new air shocks. A custom exhaust system includes stainless electric dumps. "Flowmaster" mufflers, and tailpipes all exiting on the passenger side rear. The upgraded brake system has power disks at all four wheels. The fuel system, including the tank and line appear recent installations. The engine block, visible from underneath, is painted the same color as the car and features a high torque starter and chrome flywheel cover.
