In just a few short years, Walter P. Chrysler took his company from an unknown automotive manufacturer to fourth in the industry. Walter Chrysler was a perfectionist with a deep mechanical background. This aspect, probably more than anything, helped to make Chrysler Corporation grow quickly.
A viable alternative that's still daring and different, the 1968 Chevy Impala SS 427. SS 427 Impalas are very distinctive and unique. Sales were modest, so finding an Impala SS 427, especially a convertible, could be a little challenging.
Classic Car Overview
You stopped on this 1949 Chevrolet Styleline deluxe for the exact same reason why we fell in love with it, too. It takes the classic lines we all love, and it gets updated with slick paint, a comfy interior, proper V8 power, and much more. From the moment the sunshine hits this car, you can tell its an interesting build. The paint has a very dark personality, but the light really unleashes the full beauty of the Black Cherry. This modern color releases the red and metallic undertones from the darkness and makes it quite special. There are plenty of custom details that make this cool, like the 15-inch REV polished torque thrust wheels, dual exhaust tips, blue-dot taillights, and custom pinstriping on the front and rear. But the real desire is in the basic style of a great classic post war cruiser that has well-done sheetmetal that really make all the shining brightwork details look extra crisp and clean. The interior has been tastefully upgraded to give you plenty of modern comfort while still delivering a classic appearance. For example the two-tone pattern on the seats is a classic layout, but its a more modern gray/red combo done in a comfy velour. It looks quite good, especially with the door panels done to match. The dash has a classic art deco style with plenty of bright and attractive trim. And below it youll spot great upgrades, like an AM/FM/CD stereo w/Bluetooth and provisions for R134a air conditioning (it will need servicing to blow cold again). The steering wheel is a classic unit, but the cool detail is that its borrowed from a Chevy SS from the muscle car era. This is mounted on a tilt column to give you a clear view of the tach and full Omega Kustoms backlit gauges. This is the generation before Chevys small block era, but the V8 is such a great upgrade that they couldnt resist it for this cruiser. The 350 cubic-inch motor inhales deeply with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, and it makes a nice low exhaust rumble as it exits out of the dual exhaust. This was built to be a cruiser, so it fires up nicely, runs well, and you even have good supporting pieces like the aluminum radiator w/electric fan. Plus, this has an upgraded tubular A-arm front suspension, three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and power brakes w/discs up front. So its a sharp-looking car thats also a great anywhere/anytime cruiser. A distinct color package, comfy interior, and small block power make for an irresistible setup. Thats why we know this cool Chevy will be cruising again very soon. So dont miss out, call today!
