1948 Chevrolet Fleetline

This 1948 Chevrolet Fleetline Police Car is in very good condition. Stored inside most of the history I could uncover. Engine runs very good, no smoke and starts easily. Brakes have been serviced and in the process of rebuilding the master cylinder. As far as I can tell there has been no rust repair on the body. Floor boards have been repaired in a few spots. Equipped with a police radio, police lights and sirens. 5 new tires, new battery, carburetor and rear leaf springs, shackles and U-bolts. Rear shocks have been serviced.

Runs and drives. Has a few unusual features so I am told. Both front and rear windows have wing vents. But what is really interesting (to me) is it features vacuum assist on the shift lever. It hadn't run for quite some time and the person I bought it from was unable to get it running. I was able to quickly get it running by replacing pts, condenser, timing and correct spark plug wiring and it started quite easily. Title in hand (Kentucky)

Now for the bad. I don't have a key. Don't need it to run the car as that is a separate switch around the key switch. (see picture) Local locksmith says he can make one if I bring him the switch. However the lights don't work without the key being turned on. Some of the glass needs replaced but it's all flat so relatively inexpensive. Frame is good, floor boards show surface rust (underneath).
I believe the paint is in pretty good condition but wasn't applied perfectly . Orange peel. Anyway, I wet sanded and buff most of it and it shines quite nicely as shown in the pictures.
The speedometer doesn't work (I've not looked into why) so the mileage is uncertain.
Please no low ball offers I will consider a reasonable offer only.
Reason for selling is we are moving a few states away and it complicates our move.
