1941 Plymouth Other Plymouth Models

ATTENTION--THIS IS A PROJECT CAR!! We got word of this 1941 Plymouth Business Coupe tucked away in a barn in Lake County, Ohio. It had been purchased new, at a local dealership, by a widowed bookkeeper who needed it to travel a couple of miles to work, using insurance money from her husbands passing. During the winter months the car was put away and she arranged for alternative transportation, attributing to the vehicles basically solid structure today. The car remained in the same family until we purchased it in April of 2023. According to the great-nephew and most recent owner, the car had left the local area only twice, to his recollection, in the last eighty-two years. Basically, staying within a thirty-mile radius of its purchase. The exceptions were one trip to the east coast and one trip by trailer to Arizona (so does that one even count?) According to the previous owner the miles shown are accurate on what is believed to be the original drive train. There is some rust on the floorboards and some in the inner rockers. Some minor bodywork will be needed if you opt for a nice paint finish on the car but there are no large dents or rust holes in the exterior sheet metal. The running boards are functional but need extensive restoration. The engine starts easily, and the transmission shifts smoothly. The brakes work adequately but have not been inspected. The interior will need to be reupholstered to show well but the original fabric is intact but shows its age with a few tears and holes apparent.
