Classic Car Overview

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1940 Ford Pickup for your consideration. Powering this Classic truck is a rebuilt 255ci flathead V8 that is original to this truck, paired with a rebuilt 3-speed manual transmission on the floor. This truck was completely restored and has less than 60 miles since restoration. The exterior of this truck comes in a stunting Teal paint job complemented by a Black Interior. This Ford features a full-size spare, all re-chromed parts, new paint, new seating, new seat belts, wooden bed, electric fan, restored gauge cluster, crank windows, turn signals, and many more new parts. This Truck fires right up and drives down the road straight. If you are in the market for one of the cleanest F1 out there, this is the ride for you! Drive this one out of our showroom or have us assist with shipping it to you anywhere in the United States! Dont hesitate to give us a call with any questions or for more information.

Henry Ford changed the world with the Model T in 1908, and more importantly, the manufacturing process used to churn out inexpensive cars to put America on four wheels. The Model T truck arrived in 1917, using the same engine and front passenger area but with a stronger frame that could support a 1-ton payload and any number of coachbuilt pick-bed configurations. It sold well enough at $600 apiece until Ford decided it should manufacture the truck complete with a pickup-bed itself, and the first factory-assembled Ford pickup trucks emerged in 1925. By 1928 Ford had built and sold over one million Model T trucks and then built the Model AA and BB trucks with similar success. In 1935 Ford introduced the Model 50 pickup based on the styling of its cars at the time. You could buy the Model 50 with any engine you wanted, as long as it was a Ford flathead V8. By the time WWII came around, when production was halted to help in the battle against the Axis powers, Ford had built and sold over four million units of the Model 50 pickup.
