It has been owned, loved, cared for and modified by a now 90 year-old man for almost 40 years
He is an original member of the Burbank Road Kings Car club and has been attending their cruises, shows and charitable events with this car. He has loved it, wants to find a good home for his good friend, and it has served him well.
They have gone everywhere together @ 10,000 miles since the new motor and transmission were installed
When he bought it had the original flathead and stick shift transmission
He upgraded it to its Bobs Big Boy, Van Nuys Blvd. out of town event - cruiser form. He added a modern 302, aluminum manifold, a Edelbrock four barrel carburetor, Headers with a little bit of cam, a little bit of compression and a lot of attitude. He also dumped the stick shift for a Ford AOD transmission. It's got a Ford 8 inch rear end with 390 gears. Upfront he's got a 3 inch drop axle with disc brakes, AC, power steering, power brakes, power windows, electric fuel pump, aluminum radiator, a new wiring system and American Racing mag wheels to look cool and to roll on.
This is not a race car but a cool Saturday night cruiser with seatbelts.
