Classic Car Overview

This 1940 Buick Super is a tremendous value. It has one of the most powerful eight cylinder engines and sophisticated suspension systems for 1940. Fantastic pre-war car for your money. Great purple paint job really shows off the chrome and body style. The engine is the 248 cu. in. straight 8 with 3 on the tree. The gauges are original and look fantastic. The speedo and clock are not in working order but the fuel and amp gauges do work as well as the horn, all the turn signals and brake lights. It has the wonderful banjo steering wheel and all of the interior hardware is original and functions perfectly! The featured crank operated vent in the front is a classic! The upholstery has been completely redone and is in great condition adding comfort and style. There is even a back seat bar so your passengers can enjoy the classic Buick smooth ride. The electrical has been upgraded to a 12 volt system. A modern radio has been added with a massive sub-wolver in the trunk. The trunk has been carpeted and a custom embroidery added; a great feature for car shows. It also features original style hub caps and 16 in. white wall tires. It’s been in the shop and a professional mechanic has done the following: • New tie rod ends and ball joints • New wheel bearings and races • New starter bearings • New fan belt • New carburetor boil out It has been recommended to work on: • Differential gears • Steering tightened This model is known for its power in 1940, especially the torque in low gears and this car operates still operates as it was designed. You are welcome to speak to my mechanic about the car.
