Classic Car Overview

Beautifully Restored 1939 Mercedes 170V Cabriolet AThis 1939 Mercedes-Benz 170V Cabriolet A is a beautiful example and subject of a quality older restoration. Black over red with red leather interior. A Texas car that shows extremely well throughout. It runs and drives very nicely as well. Just out of long-term enthusiast ownership, this gorgeous 170V Cab A is not to be overlooked.Following the worldwide economic depression and the decline of the luxury car market, the 170 was conceived as a contender in the medium-sized and medium-priced market. The revolutionary models designed by Hans Nibel were first shown in 1931 at the Paris Auto Salon. Nibel, a chassis engineer, employed an all-independent lightweight chassis, making the new 170 series notable for its ride and handling; something unusual in a small car to-date. The 170 put Mercedes-Benz cars within reach of a much wider market. Each was hand-built at Sindelfingen, just like its more expensive stablemates. Desirable top-down motoring One of 794 produced Striking color combination Quality older restoration Texas car out of enthusiast ownership Mechanically sound Highly collectible and sought after model Rarely seen pre-war Mercedes-Benz Price: $79,500
