Classic Car Overview

1939 Ford Deluxe Tudor Sedan For consignment, a 1939 Ford Deluxe Tudor sedan with unknown mileage. Major alterations, wild paint, and a spectacular interior means that any resemblance to an original Tudor sedan is long gone! Exterior This ground hugging, fiberglass bodied street rod hunkers down over Billet Specialties wheels, 17-inch in front and 20-inch in back and when coupled with staggered 40 series ZR rated tires, a raked stance is achieved. After the low profile of the car registers in your brain, your eyes take in the Tangelo pearl paint capped by black and complemented by flames on the fender that have enough black in their flares to present a well coordinated match. The tops been chopped, the doors have been shaved, and the grilles been stretched and customized to yield to the newly shaped nose thats flanked by teardrop headlights. The minimalist back houses oblong tail lights and oval exhaust tips while imperfections include some touches up chips and scratches, mostly on the edges of the front bumpers. Interior Wildly contoured tan and black leather rest in a door thats painted like the outside, here with green trimmed flames rising up and both reverse opening doors are show ready which is the overall theme here. Black and tan bucket seats are uniquely stitched and the layout is mirrored on the back bench seats and color adopted by the sidewalls, headliner, and foot pads in the footwells over black carpet. The Billet Specialties banjo style wheel fronts a flat, glossy black dash with a series of matching gauges and a billet A/C panel, matching the billet stalks on the column. A clean orange center console case holds an AM/FM/CD radio with pop up screen and colorful lighting and USB capability. The center console continues through to the back seat where it rises to orange flames into a black border. Its an incredible custom interior that surely is one of one. Drivetrain The show doesnt stop here as matching orange custom covers and a polished plenum dress the 5.7 liter LS1 V8 with fuel injection into a Weiand intake. Its backed by a 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission that routes power to a Ford 9 in back. Undercarriage It may be the backstage area, but its no slouch underneath where the tubular frame, rear axle, and suspension parts are all painted to perfection with Tangelo, and the rest is clean and dry. Headers send down the dual exhaust which meet a pair of FlowMaster mufflers and continue to the back while power disc brakes are found front and rear. Suspension consists of a Mustang II front end with airbags, and ladder bars in back with the requisite air bags there as well. Drive-Ability We think this the level of showmanship that youd want to trailer to distant shows, but for nearby events, its a cool drive. We warm up to the chop as the LS1 puts out a sweet exhaust note and the car rolls nicely through the test loop. It doesnt quite feel like anything else, and why should it, its completely unique. During our short drive, we note the tach, horn and odometer are not working but all other functions operate as they should. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase. The work has been done for you! Life is short, keep working on that project, but at the same time, turn the key to this spectacular high end build and start hitting the show circuit! You cant go wrong with this one!
