Some information on the Antique Car:
The paint is in good condition for an older restoration the body is in good shape there are to places that I know of that have glass patch one small area at the very bottom of the front passenger fender in the very back. with a little touch up paint I dont think it would be visible at all . The other area is unnoticeable inside the trunk spare tire area. There are some very small paint chips and scratches here and there but not very noticeable. Its a good car.
Transmission is standard “three on the tree.”
Brakes are hydraulic drums on all four corners and are in good condition.
Steering is manual but not terribly heavy.
There’s a turn signal stalk bolted to the shift lever on the steering column. It will move with the shifter but it works in the conventional manner. However, as an aftermarket add-on (Cadillac did not have turn signals until 1941) they are NOT self-cancelling.
New Coker Classic Whitewall tires, Modern construction wide whitewalls with less than 500 miles on them.
All the gauges except the speedometer appear to be working although I’m not sure about the fuel gauge, which seems to move as gas sloshes around in the tank but doesn’t ever register FULL. The speedometer does work, but the needle seems to have slipped off its hub, as it starts to peek out and operate at higher speeds. For example, at about 50 MPH it will indicate 10 MPH, at 55 MPH, it will indicate 15, etc. Probably easy enough to fix, but I never worried about it. The car will tell you at what speed it is most comfortable.
The front seat has the original leather and the back seat has been reupholstered with the original details and looks and feels great.
Some of the floor has been relapsed with new welded in steel. All new dark red carpet throughout.
The suspension is in good shape including bushings and shocks. The car has a really good ride.
The engine is a 346 cubic inch Cadillac Flathead V-8 in great condition and has been rebuilt at some point . These engine were used in several Tanks in WWII
The car comes with a lot of history, documents, manuals, old receipts, old photos from restoration.
This is a very good car not perfect but a tremendous bargain at the price and is a prewar car.
I need more space and dont drive it anymore . It is not a perfect car but it is a very good one and probably the best one for the money , it is priced to sell.
