1939 Cadillac LaSalle Series 50.
This Lasalle has been restored to perfection integrity!
322 C.I./190 H.P. V-8 Engine, Original Vin # 2311111, Model 501. All matching numbers.
Shows 67627 miles.
The total restoration took place over a 7000-mile span. The engine has about 1000 miles after completion of total restoration.
The engine was a total out of car rebuild and was restored to Cadillac dimensions.
Replaced with Cadillac pistons. Hastings rings, rods and bearings, main bearings and cam bearings, new lifters, valves and springs, keepers, and guides, hard seats installed.
Brass gear inspected is in perfect condition. New freeze out plugs and head bolts.
The block was boiled out to remove internal rust and crud.
New water pump, fuel pump and Carter Electric Auxiliary fuel pump.
Replaced clutch and pressure plate.
Original type coil with steel cable from ignition switch to a new coil.
New cables and spark plugs.
Three speed transmission is quiet and shifts flawlessly.
Rear end has new case and ring and pinion bearings, axle bearing installed.
Rear level shocks were rebuilt.
Front end was rebuilt. Replaced kingpins and lever shocks.
A complete rebuild of the brakes includes a new master cylinder, all wheels, brake lines, shoes, springs and internal parts, DOT 5 silicon fluid was used.
The car was wired, retained 6-volt system, NEW 6-volt Optima battery. All new cables.
Exterior redone, Looks beautiful.
The paint is black lacquer, and it is near perfect condition.
Under carriage is painted. No rust, never driven on rainy days. Garage stored.
All trim, grill and bumpers have been chromed by ‘Finishing Touch of Chicago’, show room new.
Sill plates were polished and repainted.
Tires are 7.00 x 16 B.F. Goodrich white walls mounted on red powder coated rims and new correct chrome covers.
Interior trim and carpet look like the day it was done.
The dash was removed, and wood grained as was the window trim wood grained and painted.
New heater core installed. All lights, gauges and switched work.
As seen in the photos the steering wheel has no splits, typical of vintage cars.
Glass is in excellent condition.
Trunk was recarpeted. Original jack.
