Classic Car Overview

Heres a vintage cruiser with style in absolute abundance. This 1938 Oldsmobile 2 Door Sedan Humpback is a veritable attention magnet. In addition to its unforgettable form, it features a great exterior color and is well configured for frequent driving. A lot of work went into creating such a great balance of curb appeal and reliable drivability and it comes complete with build receipts on board to back it up. Even among the most well-heeled of classic car gatherings, this Olds is going to stand out. That lengthy hood culminating in a prominent nose, the flowing front and rear fenders and that gracefully curved back end combine to create an unforgettable appearance. This 38 features a steel body, so its well equipped to withstand the rigors of the road without being prone to the stress cracks that can plague its fiberglass-clad counterparts. It wears Porsche red paint thats in great shape, with a nice even shine and a smooth texture, and a closer inspection will provide an even greater appreciation of the overall quality and attention to detail thats displayed here. The front grille is looking its best as it sits between a pair of headlights sporting fresh lenses, both the front and rear bumpers are unblemished and level, and the spacious cabin is surrounded by clear glass with what appear to be newly installed rubber seals. In back, the tail lights have been relocated to just above the rear fenders to maximize the impact of that very distinctive deck lid area. The interior offers quite a number of nice details and is very comfortable, with a pair of modern bucket seats at the center that are nicely contoured and well-padded beneath their gray cloth covers. Peek your head in and youll notice right away just how roomy this cabin is. Your backseat passengers will have no trouble stretching out and getting comfortable as they take their places on the rear bench seat. A modern steering wheel holds its place on the tilt column, and the dash area just beyond it is another strong feature on this Olds, with its cloth covered instrument panels carrying an array of gauges to keep a read on motoring functions and a Kenwood AM/FM/cassette deck lodged just to the right. In dash vents have been installed just below and, with the air conditioning functioning in top form, this classic offers a very pleasant driving experience. The trunk area has all the space youd need for weekend getaways and then some, even with the battery securely moored inside. Beneath that lengthy hood sits a fuel injected 350 cubic inch LT1 V8. Equipped with aftermarket shorty headers, it provides plenty of power and sends a nice, deep note out of its dual exhaust. The engine is paired with a 4-speed automatic 700r4 transmission, so this Olds is equally at home cruising down the highway as it is turning heads on local boulevards. With an electric fan mounted up front, overheating during stop and go driving wont be a concern. This steel-bodied classic rides on a front clip from a 68 Camaro, so its ride quality is far better than its vintage predecessors. Power steering makes for easy navigation as this unique ride cruises on its set of 15 Halibrand polished aluminum wheels outfitted with General AltiMax tires. Below, the undercarriage looks very solid and it features an X brace at its center point to provide maximum structural rigidity. Outstanding vintage appeal, a sturdy steel body and a powerful drivetrain make this 1938 Oldsmobile 2 Door Sedan Humpback a one of a kind ride. Call today!
