Following in the tradition of previous Ford factory built Mustang race cars like the 1968 Cobra Jet, the Boss 429 and the FR500S Mustang Challenge car, Ford Racing and AAI started work on a production run of 50 Cobra Jet Mustangs in January 2010. Ford Racing built 50 Cobra Jet Mustangs at Ford vendor facilities.

4 inch chopped roof professionally completed during build along with electric door locks, shaved door handles, hidden hinges and electric windows.
Custom build with Painted running boards covered in Clear bra for protection, shaved front bumper, and shaved rear brake lights molded into the rear fender
Engine is a GM 454ci bored out to 468ci and paired with a 3 speed automatic turbo 400 transmissions. A Custom 3 ceramic coated headers are paired to duel glass pack muffler and full 3 exhaust finishing off the exhaust system.
Tilt steering wheel and Coil over rear suspension were added for comfort and convenience.
Front wheel disk brakes and 4.11 posi rear end gears.
The Rear wheels are extra wide 20x15 American Racing wrapped in a Micky Thompson tire
