Up for sale we have a 1936 - 500K Replica Marlene Convertible Roadster, kit built by Classic Roadsters Ltd. in Fargo. This Mercedes tribute is finished in a nice and shiny white gelcoat with a matching hard top and navy blue interior. Rare body style with dual spare mounts and the hard top which is a very nice feature not commonly seen on these recreations. Plenty of eye catching chrome accents / prewar features all around such as the ornamental supercharged exhaust pipes on both sides of the hood, elegant chrome body molding, prewar style grill with hood ornament, matching hard covers for the dual spare wheels, functional antique headlights, chrome fog lights, dummy cowl lamps, vintage horn trumpets, and much more to be mentioned. This Marlene is fitted with four brand new wide whitewall tires, an expensive feature that helps give the car an authentic prewar look. The interior offers a nice wooden dash with a polished aluminum steering wheel and chrome VDO gauges, features navy blue seats with matching door panels and carpeting throughout, same matching carpet inside the spacious trunk compartment, overall a nice and clean interior thats been taken well care of. Heavy duty tubular steel frame, clean undercarriage and no rust, this 500K replica is powered by a Ford V8 302 5.0L engine mated to an automatic transmission, very nice and clean engine compartment, the car runs and drives as it should. The hard top is easily removable and included in the sale is a navy blue soft top with the frames and matching boot to put over it, the soft top has never been installed, also included is the Marlene Assembly Manual and some extra literature along with receipts from the build process. The building process started back in the 90s but the car was completed only last year, will come with a Certificate of Origin from Classic Roadsters Ltd. and the new owner will have to apply for a title in his state. The passenger side door will need extra adjustments including the roll up window, the roll up window works fine on the driver side. Overall a nice and rare dual spare body style Marlene, not new or perfect but very reasonably priced, to build a Marlene like this one nowadays will probably exceed 85K.
