This is by far the rarest and most sought after of the 500K replicas, every H.T Price was factory built and only 58 MB-500K recreations as this one were ever produced. This is a full size replica made after the exact dimensions of an original MB 500K, so not your average kit car but a pretty big classic recreation built on a heavy duty custom frame. The company closed its doors in the late 80s when the owner passed and all of the equipment and molds for the 500K were sold to Heritage Motorcars in Florida. However, in order to reduce costs, Heritage did a full redesign and scrapped some of the nicest and most authentic features of the vehicle including the beautiful windshield, the interior, door handles, steel body molding, etc... Heritage went on to sell many 500K replicas that you can easily find on the market to this day but they don't compare to the H.T Price. Completed turn key H.T Price 500K cars with top of the line options were sold back in the 80's for around $85,000 ..... in 1980 you could have bought 2 regular size homes for the same dollar amount .....

Price advertised for sale here is Titled as 1936 Mercedes 500K, comes in 2 tones custom paint job - dark red / silver and a dark gray interior, originally the car had an ivory exterior color mated by a tan interior but previous owner changed that in early 2000. Classic Firestone white wall tires and 5 real wire wheels including the rear spare tire, thick suicide doors and 2 piece metal hood, optic supercharged pipes on both sides of the hood, solid prewar style radiator grill and vintage horn trumpets, metal body molding and solid bumpers - chrome is looking very good all around the vehicle, rollup windows with chromed metal frame and split windshield, features that gives the car a more authentic look, vintage door handles on every HT Price 500K instead of the modern square ones the you can see on Heritage 500K recreations, working headlights, rear lights and working dual cowl lamps with side mirrors, center fog light - not connected, wood dash with glove compartment and 7 gold plated classic instruments gauges including dash clock, JVC - CD Player and power antenna, power seats - passenger seat is moving up & down/front & back but the driver seat does not have any movement, might be a switch or a wire. Canvas convertible top designed with a rear rectangular window, folds nicely behind the seats underneath the foldable rear body wing, top is in old condition but still functional, car used to have AC but previous owner removed the compressor, there is enough room under the hood if the buyer would like to install an after market compressor, the AC control panel and the vents are already inside the cockpit, also, two brackets that hold the compressor will be placed in the rear compartment behind the seats. Very clean engine compartment, powerful 5.8L high-performance 351 W - V8 Ford engine and automatic transmission, some mechanical work under the hood performed last year by the previous owner includes : Carburetor rebuilt, new Edelbrock air cleaner, new fuel pump and new battery, new chrome valve covers, new belts, new spark plugs, wires and ignition coil along other new miscellaneous things, engine was converted to MSD Digital 6AL ignition control. Odometer is showing only 29,230 miles since completed back in the 1980's, car runs and drives, power steering and power brakes will need some work in order to make it road worthy, car stops but will definitely need some work performed on the brakes and will also need a new power steering pump - easy to find Ford parts at any store across the US, a new power steering pump will cost around $175 ... so, be prepared to get your hands dirty a little, this special Mercedes will need a little TLC in order to be road worthy !
