1936 Ford Model 68 2 Door Deluxe Coupe 5 Window. SELLER WILLING TO NEGOTIATE!. 1936 Ford Model 68 2 Door Special Deluxe Coupe 5 Window in mint condition. This beautiful 1936 Ford 5 Window Coupe was made from a forty thousand mile 100% rust free Albany OR car. Oregon has never salted its roads or highways. The frame and body are completely original and there are no (zero) patch panels. This 36 is an All Steel car including the Fenders and running boardsjust as Henry designed and made it 81 years ago.Henry was wrong about the color and it was repainted Medium Red Cedar Metallic a Cadillac color. There is no sign of bubbling of the paint and the paint is deep and glossy as new and was professionally applied. Painted Magenta Ghost Flames were professionally applied by seasoned pin striper custom ghost flame artist at a cost of $1800.00. The car was built by an Albany OR Mechanical & Structure Engineer for Wah Chang Corporation so all of the measurements are precise and accurate.If paint is later needed for any reason new technology provide the exact color mixing ingredients by touching the painted surface with the scope/readerThe original wood framed painted canvas roof covering was removed and the remaining roof hole was filled with smooth steel. The trunk mounted spare tire and mounting bracket was removed the depression in the trunk lit was cut out and replaced with smooth steel just as the roof had been. The 36 goose neck taillights were removed and replaced with recessed 1940 Ford Blue Dot taillights. The work was professionally done and there is no hint that it was not always that way. The metal work body and paint are described by professionals as Straight Accurate and Flawless.With exception of the above modifications the addition of new Wire Wheels Switching the 36 Goose Neck taillights with 40 Blue Dots and replacing the fender mount fuel filler cap with a custom made flip up gas filler cap the body is stock with a slight forward rake. The grill hood and vented side engine cover shields and hardware are also factory. They were removed and realigned for better a better fit than Henry was able to accomplish by veteran professional Automobile Painter body & sheet metal expert designer and builder of classical car and street rod designer and builder Les Schnoover at a cost of $750.00. The front and rear bumpers and mounting brackets are Frank Drake ltd. Reproductions. Frank Drake ltd. Is a locally owned and Nationally acclaimed Grants Pass OR producer/maker of quality and precision FORD authorized and approved parts which are reasonably priced.The seat frames and inside door covers are refurbished originals covered with high quality period correct professionally cut stitched and covered light gray upholstery material as is the head liner. The window opener and door release handles are refurbished originals. The original clutch brake gas pedal hand brake floor shifter steering wheel and column were removed and replaced with a modern tilt steering wheel and column housing the automatic transmission lever shifter and drop down wide power brake and new gas pedals. The hand brake was replaced with a modern day foot operated pedal. The dash is stock the factory gauges replaced with Antique speedometer oil pressure engine temperature battery and gas gauges. The original center mounted ashtray(emptied refurbished and now unused and purely decorative) remains as does the fully functional and leak free crank out windshield. The entire car including the trunk is free from leakage. In Oregon such is critical.
