1935 Ford Fordor Model 48 Deluxe Touring 'Trunkback' Sedan
Beautiful condition 1935 Ford Fordor Model 48 Deluxe Touring “Trunkback” Sedan. If you want a classic antique car but don’t want the headaches that come with some finicky antiques, this reliable and low maintenance all-steel no body rust or corrosion car is for you. With radial tires it runs solidly on the highway, but it really stands out on head-turning local cruises, trips to dinner or for ice-cream. It is a great driving car, with updated driving features including side mirrors, turn signals, and seat belts. Look closely at the pictures to see the quality. Dearborn Blue with red pin striping, and brown interior.
The 1935 Ford introduced more modern styling with the grille pushed forward and a more streamlined appearance. The 1935 featured a true integrated trunk on “trunkback” models. The Deluxe models included bright windshield and grill trim, twin horns and taillights. The new Flathead 3.6L V8 for 1935 included directed-flow crankcase ventilation, a cast steel crankshaft and aluminum cylinder heads. This car features the enhanced “59AB” 24-stud engine delivering 100 hp and 239 cubic inches (vs the previous 85 hp / 221 ci engine), with a 3-speed manual transmission.
New whitewall radial tires with red spoke wheels, chrome rings and chrome ''V8'' hubcaps. Additional features include an opening front windshield for additional ventilation, spare tire cover, coach (‘Suicide’) doors, an oil pressure gauge (option on 1935s), greyhound hood ornament (option on 1935 Fords), Banjo steering wheel, rear window shade, chrome side mirrors, turn signals, and color-matched seat belts.
