Classic Car Overview
1935 Chevrolet 3 Window Coupe With its wind-swept design and classic good looks, the Chevrolet Coupe series has always been a rare and highly desirable line of cars. Not surprisingly, gearheads, customizers and all but 80 years worth of dedicated fans have elevated it to one of hot roddings greatest cultural icons. For consignment, an all metal 1935 Chevrolet 3 window coupe rodded and deep red, racy and raucous, raring and ready to go...fast! Nicely done and all buttoned up inside, outside and underside with a killer power plant under the open cowled hood, 1935 never dreamed of looking so good! Exterior Excellent fenders that look like they have spent hours on the English Wheel, flank the open cowled hood, fronted by a clean stainless rod vertical ribbed grille. A single chromed encased headlight is topping each front fender, and a simple curved bumper nearly perfect and shiny hangs from the bottom. The fenders curve up and down and sport a rubber covered running board that melts into another set of curved rear fenders. A single door for each side floats above the running board and a rounded roof with the 3 windows give this car its name. The back of the car could best be described as a nice ass, with its gracefully curved down trundled matching the curve of the rear fenders. On the rear roll pan below the trunk are single taillights, custom made and are chrome trimmed horizontal small bars embedded into the rear panel seamlessly. On the bottom another curved bumper finishes the curve off. For the wheels 14 and 15 inch American Racing Torque Thrust polished 5 spoke wheels are wrapped with like new black wall rubber. Interior When you think totally custom build youll think of the interior of this car. Just the door panels are worth some gazing time with their custom embossed 3D molded textured plastic designs, a leather door pull with a metal billet style insert, billet handles and power window toggles. The background and pull are white and contrast amazingly well with the deep exterior red. Inside more custom with overstuffed white leather covered and stitched buckets, fully adjustable to cozy top to the custom dash with a wood rimmed polished inside and laser cut steering wheel fronting it. The dash is body matching deep red, sports an oval aluminum insert for the gauge cluster made up of black faced VDO instruments and a few switches with round surrounding bezels. A/C has been installed, and a long armed Lokar shift lever with a machined topper rises from the center hump. Nice and clean cream colored carpet floods the interior, and in back seats removed for more room for the bucket passengers, and now just a custom embossed 35 white panel that shares and doubles as the back panel for the completed trunk. Speaking of which is all finished with more custom side panels and cream carpeting. The headliner, not to be outdone, is more embossing and an upper mounted console which houses the stereo unit. Drivetrain Talk about eye candy with this mill, which is a consigner stated 383ci V8 stroker topped by Edelbrock E Street heads, a Quickfuel 4-barrel carburetor, and backed up by a TH350 3-speed automatic, pushing power rearward to those 15 inch wheels via a 9-inch Ford rear. All polished and ready to eat off of! Undercarriage A custom build also includes the undercarriage and this one does not leave any stones unturned. A deep red X frame supports pristine black floorpans and red running boards with strong hangers for the running boards. A Mustang II front end and leaf springs in the back provide the ride, and power disc brakes are on all 4 corners. Headers which magically melt into rust free pipes with glasspack style muffler are seen underneath snaking their way rearward. Drive-Ability A super quick fire up from the mill, and it was off to the test track. Here it ran just great, with snappy acceleration, smooth shifting and a very easy car to drive with power steering and brakes, coupled with the automatic transmission. All functions were working just fine! To quote Samuel L. Jackson. This is a bad mother.....! A wonderful meticulous attention to detail build, all around a beautiful rod which any crowd will oogle as it sits and shows or drives down main street. An easy turnkey driver, and all you have to do is listen to the nice car comments and turn the key when youve had your fill of said comments. Just a few dents and dings and some road rashes, but the overall exterior is so nice, and the interior is certainly custom.
