Lights! Cameras! Cars!

One thing that the crew at Volo Auto Museum understands is that context is everything. They have gone the extra mile to display each movie car with memorabilia and signage that brings the scene to life. The museum features actual movie props such as Tom Cruise's racing seat from Days Of Thunder.

Classic Car Overview

Meticulous restoration replicating a salt flat racer. The attention to detail is impressive! Powered by a vintage dual quad Hemi and sitting on a Roadster Shop chassis. Built by a very skilled builder, he restored many of our museum pieces. EXTERIOR: This is a genuine 1934 steel body long nose coupe. The longer hood was desirable to hot rodders looking to stuff big motors under them which is exactly what happened here. The body work is outstanding its straight and fits right. Its been louvered across the hood, roof, trunk and frame covers. The top is chopped, the hinges were made smooth for aerodynamics and it has louvered doors in the hood panels. It is painted in a special red paint and black was airbrushed giving it an authentic looking patina. Nostalgic pinstriping and graphics were added giving it a very cool look. It has vintage headlights in front and round taillights in back. It has a great stance, look at it straight on from the side. It has restored rims with reproduction Excelsior tires that look authentic but are actually radials. A salt flat racer used a tall tire to help achieve top end record speeds. INTERIOR: It is restored inside to keeping the theme going. Its been rewired and has a modern fuse block. The floor is carpeted, it has a Lokar shifter and theres a vintage style gas pedal. Inside the cab is upholstered and has a roll cage integrated. The seat has genuine leather upholstery and seatbelts. A machine turned panel has a new set of Stewart Warner gauges and a vintage tachometer mounted below the dash. Very cool quick disconnect steering wheel. Also, very cool handmade door panels, there are no door windows. Other features include turn signals, 12 volt receptacle, floor mats and pinstripe. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Yeah, its a Hemi! Its a completely rebuilt 354 making 340 hp, it runs on pump gas. On top is an aluminum intake with dual Edelbrock carbs and vintage air cleaners. Big Fire Power valve covers. An aluminum water pump and new radiator keeps it running cool. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Nicely boxed in aluminum with sound deadener on the floor. Its home to the custom fuel tank and the battery is in a battery box. UNDERSIDE: Sitting on a Roadster Shop chassis. New frame is smooth with tubular supports. The front end suspension and steering is all chrome. It has a drilled drop axel. In back is a 4 link system with coil over adjustable gas shocks. Custom made headers and exhaust system. It has stainless Magnaflow mufflers, dumps that can be unbolted and quad tips. The brake system is all new, it has disc in front and a power booster under the car. Bottom of the motor is spotless; it has a high torque starter. The trans is a Turbo 400 automatic with a chrome pan. A rebuilt drive shaft leads back to a Ford rear end. The floors are clean with a neatly applied chip guard paint. It has dual oil filters and a Holley fuel system. Its very meticulous under this car. SERVICE: It needs nothing. With that said its a fair-weather car that you would most likely drive locally. What a conversation piece. My father and several of the people that work here loved it, it is different from anything theyve seen. Its a high quality build that is worthy of any collection. For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide is my professional opinion based on my experience with these vehicles. However, opinions can vary, and I strongly recommend a personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase the car and share our teams insights. Our cars are displayed within a museum setting. If you are interested in a specific vehicle, please schedule an appointment with a salesperson to view it. Without an appointment, there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you decide to purchase a car, your admission will be refunded, and youll receive a one-year museum membership. 815 385 3644 9-5 central Sales@volocars.com Answered ASAP Power disc brakes Dual quads Leather seat Seatbelts Disconnect wheel Turn signals Reproduction tires Louvered panels Chopped top
