1934 Ford Deluxe

One of the most icon hot rods has to be ZZ Tops Eliminator , an old-school customized 1933 Ford 3-window coupe. The Fords angled-back grille, sweeping fenders and uncluttered roof and window design all made for a sleek look right out of the factory. Hot rod tricks like cutting down the roof height, dropping the suspension (more so in front for a sinister rake) and of course building up the stock V8 or swapping in a more modern motor was the basic recipe for a head-turning, fun-to-drive custom.



Here we have a fiberglass replica build of a 34 Ford 3-window coupe that is fresh and done to a high standard. The body is finished in late- 60s Chevrolet Cortez Silver with Brandy Wine flames coming off the front end. That beautiful paint job is accented with nearly hidden front turn signals, flush rear turn signals and a set of 15-inch front/17-inch rear alloy wheels wearing Sumitomo radials. Of course the roofline is low and the stance is raked.



Lipstick red leather upholstery highlights the interior while a full set of gauges and a Garmin navigation unit help you keep tabs on the powerhouse V8 and get to those cruise nights and Cars and Coffee meets. Of course, the steering wheel of choice is a classic, old-school 3-spoker.



Strong, reliable small block Chevy power is under the hood and it sends the horses through a four-speed (700R4) automatic and on to the 8-inch Ford rear end fitted with coil-overs. Power rack-and-pinion steering and manual four-wheel disc brakes give the 34 modern moves and stopping power. On the road this hot rod sounds and goes great and, with only about 2,000 miles since this high-quality build, is turn-key ready to thrill its next owner.
