2010 Cobra Jet

Following in the tradition of previous Ford factory built Mustang race cars like the 1968 Cobra Jet, the Boss 429 and the FR500S Mustang Challenge car, Ford Racing and AAI started work on a production run of 50 Cobra Jet Mustangs in January 2010. Ford Racing built 50 Cobra Jet Mustangs at Ford vendor facilities.

Classic Car Overview

This is a classic 1934 Ford all steel 4 door Street Rod, originally built in the early 1970s. The car spent much of the 1970s, 80s, and 90s cruising the streets of Orlando, Florida, and it has been in my ownership since 2006.

The car retains its original 1934 all steel body mounted on the original frame, preserving the true character of this iconic Ford while benefiting from carefully selected 1970's correct upgrades.

Power comes from a 283 cubic inch Chevrolet V8 with a Tri-Power setup, rebuilt in 2012, paired with a Turbo 350 transmission rebuilt in 2023. Comfort meets performance with Vintage Air automatic air conditioning.

The chassis features a 1969 Corvette independent rear suspension and an early 1960s Corvair front suspension with disc brakes, delivering classic street rod handling and drivability. It rides on American Racing aluminum wheels to complete the timeless look.

A true old school street rod with decades of history and thoughtful updates throughout.
