Description
Sold new in Sweden, this Chevrolet underwent a long-term restoration between 1978 and 2019, with a professional repaint in 2017. The burgundy red body with black fiberglass fenders presents well, with solid steel bodywork, excellent chrome, good seals, and glass in good condition with only light wear.
The interior has been rebuilt over the original seats and trim with modern materials, finished in gray, and includes a restored wood-grain dashboard.
Electrics are to original specification; gauges and lights are working, including turn indicators, which may need some attention.
Powered by Chevrolets inline six Stovebolt and a 3-speed manual gearbox, the car runs smoothly with no smoke or unusual noises. The undercarriage, brakes, and suspension are in good order. There is some steering play, but the car drives straight.
Bias-ply tires (5.25/5.50-17) remain in good condition with over 5 mm (0.2 in) tread depth.
Comes with extensive restoration documentation, Swedish registration papers, and was featured in Classic Motor magazine. It has previously passed inspection with a licensed Swedish service and is now exempt as a vintage vehicle.
Third-party inspections welcome we can assist via an authorized inspector from the Swedish Chamber of Commerce (buyers cost).
