Classic Car Overview

After years and years of looking at Ford hot rods at shows, imagine the positive responses youll get in this clean 1934 Chevy Standard two-door sedan. No fiberglass replica, this clean Bowtie rod has a fantastic vintage look thats full of neat details and thoughtful upgrades to create a hot rod that can go anywhere in style. The color is an all-time hotrod favorite, and the deep red finish looks fantastic on the boxy 30s shape. Nobodys building fake 1934 Chevy sedans, so this one has factory sheetmetal and a clean look that hasnt been radically altered from the way GM stylists designed it more than 80 years ago. The flowing fenders look like they belong on a much bigger, more expensive car and the louvered hood treatment looks trick, even today. Youll note that nothing has been chopped or altered, so theres still a beautiful chrome strip across the hood that ends atop the painted radiator shell, a set of elegant door handles, and although the running boards are the only fiberglass pieces on the car, they really blend neatly in. Finish quality is excellent, with a deep, brilliant shine and only a few signs of use, which is easy to understand given how well this one drives. The bumpers look almost new and were surely refinished or even replaced when the car was built and we especially like the little oval peep mirrors neatly installed on each door. Inside its thoroughly modern, with handsome black leather bucket seats that feel as good as the chairs in your daily driver, mainly because they were transplanted from a modern Camaro. Nicely finished, albeit a bit mismatched, the entire drivers compartment oozes comfort, with fitted mats, neatly trimmed door panels, and lots of thoughtful touches like the center console with cupholders that sits in front of a Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo head unit. The dash was color-matched to the body, just to add a splash of color, while the Schmitt steering wheel and tilt column are nice modern touches. Omega Kustom gauges are fitted in front of the driver, while controls for the Vintage Air HVAC system, which uses eyeball vents in the outer edges of the dash to keep the interior nice and comfortable. The aforementioned tilt column makes it easy to sit back and get comfortable and the back seats are big enough for real-sized adults or a few weeks worth of your gear on a long tour. Propelling this red beauty around town is a strong and capable 283 V8. Its neatly installed and very professional, and makes great power thanks to a Holley 4-barrel carburetor, polished intake manifold and upgraded Taylor Pro wiring system. Theres enough chrome here to make it worthwhile to open the hood at shows, and with a sizeable radiator up front, it never seems to get too warm out on the road. Block-hugging stainless headers feed a custom dual exhaust system thats just about right for this elegant little sedan and a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission means its effortless to drive at any speed. The front suspension is a Mustang II setup with rack-and-pinion power steering and power front disc brakes, while a 10-bolt GM rear end hangs on easy-riding leaf springs. A custom gas tank in back feeds the engine and a more than capable suspension really make this car ride and handle well. Shiny Unique chrome wheels are both traditional and contemporary, carrying 205/60/15 front and 235/60/15 rear BFGoodrich blackwall radials. Standing out doesnt mean building yet another custom Ford, it means doing a great job with something a little unusual, and this 1934 Chevy totally nails it. Call today!
