Gateway Classic Cars of Philadelphia is pleased to present this 1933 Willys Coupe Gasser for sale. The term Gasser comes from a 60s race class call C/Gas. The common trend was to take as much weight off the front of the car and jack up the front end with a straight axle to get better traction on the drag strip. One of the most popular cars to use in the C/Gas class was a Willys coupe and this one was an original Gasser drag car from the mid 60s up until the 70s. It has since undergone a full restoration back to its former Gasser glory. This 1933 Willys is a prime example of how a C/Gas car would have been back in the day. This car is an all steel body with the exception of the period correct fiberglass front end that hides the Fire Breathing 331 Hemi and super charger!!! Backed up by a 727 automatic transition with a full manual valve body and an Oldsmobile rear axle this car is definitely no slouch. However its not all go. The cooling system has been upgraded as well with an extra large radiator and electric fan to keep this monster cool.
