Classic Car Overview
1932 Ford Pickup The 1932 Ford has been admired by both enthusiasts and engineers ever since its introduction three-quarters of a century ago. Also called the Deuce because of the 2 in the model year, it was the worlds first popularly priced car to offer a V8 engine. A 32 Ford featured a lot of firsts and also lasts, which helped endear it to hot rodders. It was the first year of the flathead V-8, which was the first V-8 in an affordable, mass market automobile. ... 1932 Fords survived much better, leading to greater availability, which kept a lid on prices. For consignment, a deuce rodded 32 Ford pickup truck. Not your everyday pickup but a rolling work of automotive art. A pickup like none other youll see, that has had a ton of time put into the rebuild to a rodded truck, with all details paid attention to. A veritable whos who of parts manufacturers and now a unique piece that no one else will even come close to imitating!! Exterior Time to bone up on some of your rodding terms so stay with me while I give you the pitch on this deuce resto-rod pickup. A dual chromed bar front bumper leads the way and protects the beautifully curvaceous front fenders that flank the long cowled hood. A body matching radiator surround bathed in 04 Chrysler Electric Green Apple Metallic is fronted and flanked by a chromed support bar that stretches across the grille and supports a single chromed headlight on either side. These fenders C curve up and around the front tires and wheels and mate with a running board to aid you into getting inside with ease. Just above are the front hinged doors keeping within their original squared off design, and now sporting power glass. A custom fabricated visor in the green shields the front glass and has a round chromed hanging mirror off of the top of each door sill right under the drip edge for the roof. A rolled top steel bed, straighter than arrows, form the sides to the bed which is now lined on the inside with honey maple stained oak boards with chromed separators. On the drivers side of the bedside is a concealed fuel filler kit in keeping with the smooth line of the sides. On back, a trio of frenched sequential LED taillights in thin bar form let those following know you are on the hooks. A rear roll pan with one of the bar taillights replaces the former bumper. Artistic pinstriped flourishes are seen on the edges of the rear tailgate, around the rear glass of the cab, and along the beltline all in red and yellow. Ceramic coated in sterling finish bellflowers peek out the rear from below the roll pan. Polished Billet Specialties wheels are wrapped in raised white letter baloneys on the back and thinner tires in front and give a nice rake to the side view of this truck. Interior As we swing the doors to explore the interior we are greeted with green and gray fuzzy broadcloth that has overstuffed armrests and tuck and roll vertical pattern lowers. A billet handle opens the doors from the inside and we can see power window toggles are offered up. Interior seating is courtesy of Rayco and presents in a broadcloth green insert and gray bolster bench seat, and a central embroidered 32 in yellow threads in the center. The dash has been kept simple but effective in the green metal and a wood curved insert near the dash top. The center of the dash is a metal polished oval with VDO white faced vintage looking gauges with brass bezel gauges. A few knobs are below, and this truck has a Vintage Air, heat, and a defroster unit installed. Up top within the roof line is an AM/FM/CD/DVD player with MP3 and Bluetooth capabilities. If your passenger gets bored, a screen embedded into both sun visors allows for DVD viewing. Big speakers are embedded into the B pillars for the surround sound effects. Black carpet floods the floors and seen in this field are custom chromed foot pedals. (I told you they left no stone unturned!) Drivetrain Within the engine bay is a 5.7 liter motor courtesy of a 94 Chevy Camaro in LT-1 form. Simple but very effective all in either green or chrome it is a sight to behold. On the back is a 700R4 4-speed automatic tranny, and a 3.73 positraction 9-inch Ford rear axle spins the tires at will. Undercarriage You would expect nothing less and if you purchase this truck you might want to get a full-scale mirror to go along with it as the undercarriage is as souped up as the topside. Here we see a 1932 rolling chassis by Legend Motors-Downs Design and it is just beautifully appointed. Braking is all braided stainless lines with A.N. fittings which clamp down on 4 wheel power disc brakes showing polished calipers. Under here there is a yellow painted peppering of driveshaft, axle and pumpkin which is a great contrast to the green steel and black running boards. Polished Downs IFS with adjustable tubular upper and lower control arms are on front, and in back, a triangulated 4 link rear suspension with Aldan coil overs (polished) and chromed springs. Exhaust is ceramic coated in stainless steel color and includes coated stainless styled mufflers. Drive-Ability A driver for sure, literally a rolling work of art, and a head turner that they can hear you coming from a mile away! Excellent handling, braking, acceleration and all functionalities are working perfectly. I did not want to get out, it was that good. Just a great overall presentation that was painstakingly documented with photos and receipts of the full off restoration, which now yields a frame-able work of garage bling that you could charge admission to view inside your garage. Numerous award winner, and a daily driver if you so desire.
