Classic Car Overview
By a wide margin, Ford Model A's are the oldest cars with a large following. For sale is a 1931 Ford Model A Deluxe Roadster with Rumble Seat showing 17,006 miles on the odometer, but the true miles are unknown. This original steel body car has been owned by the seller for 14 years and has recently undergone a full body-off repaint and interior restoration. The original 201 cid 4-cylinder engine was replaced by an original Model A engine, rebuilt by a well-qualified Model A shop in 2011. The VIN (A2821358) on the title matches the original VIN stamped on the frame as shown in one of the photos.
Exterior:
Stunning Copra Drab/Chicle Drab envelopes this classic, a color that would probably not play well on today's cars but is stunning on this '31. The 19-inch wire wheels are Tacoma Cream with wide white wall Firestone-embossed Coker tires. The pinstripe is done correctly in the matching Tacoma Cream color to the wheels. New LeBaron Bonney Tan cloth convertible top.
Interior:
The newly installed LeBaron Bonney interior features marbled dark saddle stitched bench seat and door panel covers that presents cleanly. The rumble seat shares the material and is in excellent condition. A four-spoke steering wheel fronts the painted dash augmented with a Tacoma Cream pinstripe, surrounding the center instrument panel that includes the keyhole. A new LeBaron Bonney brown carpet covers the floor around the shifter, hand brake and pedals, while the footwells are dressed in the saddle vinyl.
Drivetrain:
Behind the engine cover is the clean and fully rebuilt 201cid inline four cylinder with a 1-barrel carburetor and a 3-speed manual. Mechanical drum brakes sit in the front and rear. The engine presentation is show ready and clean.
Undercarriage:
Clean underneath as well. The chassis is complete as per original 1931 with working aftermarket tubular shocks. A single exhaust runs through a stock style muffler then terminates just before the rear axle under the car and transverse leaf springs are noted front and rear.
Drive-Ability:
Car is a strong driver, only needs to be driven & enjoyed more. Checkout the attached video to see the car on the road.
Clean Washington title in hand. The car is for sale with a realistic price of $29,500.
