Classic Car Overview

This 1931 Model A Roadster Deluxe has been awarded a National First Place Winner. The following is the lineage of the cars past 50-year history.

1974-1980 6 yrs

Owned by Ennio
Ennio purchased the car from a private owner in Pennsylvania. The original color of the car was black. He hired a firm in Connecticut to restore the car. In 1976 the car was entered into the Northeastern United States, Antique Automobile Club of America competition. The car was entered into a category that had 21 cars being judged, of which it took First Place.
During This event there was a reporter at the competition that was doing an article about the Comeback of the 31 Model A Roadster, for the November 1976 issue of Popular Mechanics. He interviewed the firm that restored the car. The pictures included in this article are of this car. Because of a divorce the car was sold.

1980-1991 11 yrs.

Owned by George
George entered the car into many local car shows, amassing quite a collection of trophies. In 1983 he entered the car into a regional Model A Day competition at Eisenhower Park NY. The car won 1st Place in the Open Car category. George was my neighbor, and I bought the car from him just before he passed.

1991-Present 33 yrs

Owner Ron
During my ownership I only entered the car into one competition, in 1991. It was at a Model A Ford Club annual event being held at an estate in Glen Cove NY. As I waited inline for my turn to be judged, the man controlling each car to move ahead came to my side and asked me if this was Georges car, I answered Yes it was, and that I bought it from him just before he passed away. The rest of the judges ahead of me just let me drive by, they never even examined the car, they waived me to move forward. Three hours later I was called up to accept the 1st Prize Award for the Open Car division.

This car has many OEM accessories that you wont see on other Model A cars, such as,

The Stone Guard that protects the radiator has the Ford logo built into it. The aftermarket stone guards have an oval hole cut in the top so you can see the Ford emblem on the radiator.
There is an original Unity Sportlite Model J spotlight mounted by the drivers side window.
An original rear view mirror with wind up clock and Ford Logo.
The paint color is original, Washington Blue.
The car comes with a complete set of Model A tools, handsomely displayed in a velvet lined wood cabinet.
All 6 of the cars wheels have Chrome Spoke covers.
The Two spares have Chrome outer covers and a color coordinated front covers.
The trunk is velour lined canvas covered housing with high grade brown leather accents.
The Front Seat and Door panels are covered with supple Brown Leather.
Chromed vacuum windshield wiper.
Rumble Seat is finished with Brown Vinyl to better stand up to the elements.
Glass WindWings are etched with a decorative flower arrangement.
Two OEM Window Curtains and pole supports.
Tan Convertible Top with cover.
Ford Script Step Plates.
Quail Mascot.
This car has been stored in an enclosed garage with a built-in cage around it, and has never been driven in the rain!
