Up for sale we have a very rare 6 Cylinder 1931 Chevrolet Independence Roadster in excellent condition, the 31 is the most sought after prewar Chevy body style and the roadster was the most exclusive. Finished in a beautiful color combination with a vintage yellow body, black fenders, brown accents and vintage orange wire wheels with a matching body pin-striping, so this is a 4-Tone color combination, a truly eye catching color scheme. This roadster is full of prewar features such as the dual side spares with mirrors secured by a leather strap, 6 Firestone whitewall tires in like new condition, vintage chrome headlights and amber fog lights, dual cowl lamps, chrome brackets securing the spare tires, Chevy logo polished aluminum step plates on the running boards, chrome center caps with the Chevy logo on the wheels and much more to be mentioned. The interior features a brown leather bench with matching side panels and a 4 spoke steering wheel along with chrome bezeled gauges and various chrome accents, the rumble seat compartment has a similar brown leather bench and offers space for two more passengers, all in all a very well taken care of and clean interior. This Chevy is powered by a 6 cylinder 194cu engine, runs, drives, shifts and brakes as it should, very nice and clean engine compartment. Having a 6 cylinder was something special in 31 as Ford was still using 4 cylinder engines in all of their Model As, 6 cylinder engines were usually found on more expensive and luxurious vehicles. Included in the sale is a prewar Chevrolet Repair Manual, Clean title in hand, titled as a 1931 Chevrolet, this beautiful piece of automotive history is ready to go to a new home and win some trophies at your local classic car show, as this roadster already won the National First Prize in 1991 !!!
