Classic Car Overview

1930 Ford Model A Roadster

For consignment, a 1930 Ford Model A roadster showing 5,345 miles, but the true miles are unknown. This two tone beauty features a Brookville body and chassis along with a saddle interior which might make you forget about the world outside.

Exterior
The classic lines are truly accentuated by the dispersal of Champagne Metallic paint that sandwiches the Light Persimmon Metallic middle delineated by a pewter edge dark band on top, and its stunning. The 32 grille shell wears the persimmon as do the rear fenders in the back, it has all the appeal of a classic configuration here in modern, two stage application. Modest tail lights reside over a tubular rear bumper and big, dual polished tips and if the paint didnt clue you in to the build, these features might. The wheels, which are 15-inch American Racing units, wear staggered tires that apply the classic raked look to the car and an exposed engine is about as hot rod as you can get! A vertical windscreen has a bottom edge that follows the gentle contour of the cowl and protects the open cabin. Imperfection includes some scratches and chips and some staining at the fuel filler.

Interior
Two tone is adopted on the inside with two shade brown vinyl beginning on the door panels, handsome and clean, and continuing on Glide bench seat with stitched inserts in saddle borders. The banjo style steering wheel is also attractive, wrapped in brown leather ahead of a champagne dash housing white faced AutoMeter gauges in a spotless horizontal presentation. The piston shaped shifter handles rides a polished shaft that dives into a saddle boot right beside the floor mounted hand brake over low pile brown carpet. The interior space expands when you lift the rumble seat, here dressed in clean, saddle vinyl against a persimmon painted hatch.

Drivetrain
Finned valve covers, coated headers, red wires, and polished velocity stacks all add to a show worthy and ever exposed engine. Our consignor states its a 383ci stroker V8 with serial numbers for a 70s 350, and its adorned with World Products D-port heads and a Fast 2.0 Downdraft EZ-EFI fuel injection system. This is mated toa TH350 3-speed automatic transmission routing power to a proper Ford 9 in back. The car runs on a 12 volt system.

Undercarriage
As one would expect, things are pretty clean underneath with lots of polished suspension and steering components along with a painted rear axle polished pans and were not deterred by the single drop of oil on each. Meanwhile, we have disc brakes up front, drums in the back and suspension includes transverse leaf spring up front with Bilstein shocks, and 4-link with coil overs in back. The dual exhaust comes from the headers and flows through MagnaFlow mufflers before finding their way to the back.

Drive-Ability
She fires right up, of course we move the piston shifter into drive and roll this roadster onto the test loop. Plenty of power, straight tracking, good handling, and more fun than should be legally allowed. The pleasant exhaust note is impeded by music as there is no radio on board, but all functions that are afforded the driver operate as intended. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase.

Youve dreamed of building a Brookville based show car and time just got away. Work, kids, travel all have pushed your build date ahead and rendered your free time limited. Well, heres a turnkey build that will require a dusting off just before you fire it up for the car show. If the kids are still small, think of how fun ice cream runs into town will be now! This is a very nice build and well worth your attention is a Model A roadster has been on your bucket list!
