Classic Car Overview

Our grandfather bought this truck new in Goodland Kansas for #600 in 1930. It has been in our family since. It was used in the wheat harvests through the middle 50s. It was at my brother Ernie's (Idaho) until the late 90s, when it was restored using frame off and professional rebuilds on such things as brakes and gauges and starter etc.

All wood in cab and bed is new oak and ash. Paint and mechanical work done by an amazing hot rod builder. We did not do any major work on the engine at that time, because it did not require any. It probably does now, but not a total rebuild. Read below!

It has had a 4 year body off restoration and total cost to restore it was over $40,000. All receipts included in purchase. Restoration completed in about 2008 and has been garaged since.

Won 1st place in local classic car show. Virtually everything on it, except the new ash/oak bed is original to my grandpa's truck in 1930.

Color is a dark green with black fenders. It has the original inline 6 cylinder 180 cubic inch engine with original 4 speed (granny) transmission.

The beautiful bed is made of Ash/Oak. This is the 131" short wheelbase model. I have fully restored read fenders to fit 1930 pickup and truck models. They are painted gloss black, but I do not have a bed. It could be converted to a pickup if desired. Want $800 for the fenders.

Engine was not rebuilt, just tuned up and touched up. Here are some issues with the engine. It smokes at idle, but quits smoking when driven. Believe it may need new valve guides. Occasionally, it is hard to start after it has been driven and warmed up. Not sure if it is timing or carb. I turn off the gas valve after driving or the carb floods. Assuming it is a float seating issue. Believe all issues minor.

Top comfortable speed is about 40 MPH like a Model A.

Have owners and operators manual that come with it. Has a new battery and is electric and crank start (included).

Seems like an ideal use might be for a fruit or vegetable stand. Put a large sign on each side of the bed for advertising and talk to your CPA about writing the vehicle off for advertising??? Also ideal for an orchard owner. Use the 1930 Truck on logos and letterhead to get attention.

Truck is located in Eagle, Idaho 83616. Would require transport to your location. Can pick you up at Boise Airport to see and drive truck in person before payment.
