Following in the tradition of previous Ford factory built Mustang race cars like the 1968 Cobra Jet, the Boss 429 and the FR500S Mustang Challenge car, Ford Racing and AAI started work on a production run of 50 Cobra Jet Mustangs in January 2010. Ford Racing built 50 Cobra Jet Mustangs at Ford vendor facilities.

Classic Car Overview
This 1927 Don Davis T Rod has a one off custom mild steel chassis, with a wheel base of 112 inches. Ford 9 inch rear end features strange axles. Wilwood brakes and the suspension in the rear is a four length with a roll with a sway bar, in the front is a four link with a sway bar also, in addition to a pan hard bar. Power is supplied by a GM crate 350 Chevy engine with a mild cam. The transmission is the GM turbo 350 with a shifter kit and a 2400 torque converter. Paint was provided by RM Diamond with Diamond basecoat with a Brilliant Mercedes silver finish, Dan Fink Metal Works grill insert and hand laid fiberglass body.
