Classic Car Overview

Fully restored ( frame off restoration) 1925 Franklin 11A sedan with new wooden frame manufactured to original factory specs from original factory drawings. Car is in very good condition but needs some mechanical attention. I bought the car last year with the intent of doing said mechanical work and have done quite a bit of research as to parts availability with surprisingly good success. Unfortunately, before I could really get started on the project my health took a turn for the worse and I now realize that I am not going to be able to complete it. The problem is that there is a baseball sized hole in the block right behind the carburetor as can be seen in the last photo. I have all the pieces that resulted when the hole appeared but I am not that good with aluminum when it comes to welding the pieces back together. I am pretty confident that the block can be repaired but if, after full tear down and a closer examination that turn out not to be true, I do have two sources for a replacement engine or parts to rebuild this one. Or course, you could always replace the original engine with something more modern or electric but wheres the fun in that? Any way, I am asking what I paid for it as it has had a lot of work done to it to bring it to the condition it is in and I feel it is a fair price. You are free to differ with my opinion and I welcome any reasonable offers. She definitely deserves a new lease on life. Please contact me with any questions and or offers. I can provide more photos of the restoration and of the finished car to serious buyers upon request. Looking forward to speaking with you.
