  • One of a combined total production of 2,350 Model M, K, S, and T Cadillacs for 1907
  • Sold new through Frederick S. Bennetts Anglo American Motor Car Co. Ltd. of London
  • Formerly part of a prominent Texas collection and the Al Wiseman collection
  • Matching serial number and engine number per Cadillac build ledger copy
  • Eligible for HCCA events and tours

Frederick S. Bennett famously imported the first Cadillac to England and campaigned it in Britains famous 1,000-mile Reliability Trial in 1903, covering 1,094 miles with an average speed of 21.25 mph. Bennett secured exclusive British import rights for Cadillac and opened the Anglo American Motor Car Co. Ltd. in London. Around the time General Motors acquired Cadillac, Bennetts business evolved into F.S. Bennett Ltd. (Cadillac Motors Ltd.). A dedicated competitor in early motorsport, Bennett returned to showcase the brands durability in the 1913 Reliability Trial.

This 1907 Cadillac Model M Touring was exported and sold new through Frederick S. Bennetts Anglo American Motor Car Co. Ltd. of London. It left the factory finished in Brewster Green with red pinstriping and no convertible top. Upon receiving the engine on 31 December, the car was put through the assembly line the week of 15 January, with the vehicle reaching the finishing department on 18 January and shipped the following day.

Some years later it was discovered in England and reimported to the United States. It was part of the Al Wiseman collection in Florida and subsequently acquired by a prominent private collection in Texas. It later passed through a St. Louis dealer before being acquired in January 2012 for the Vehicle Vault Collection, where it has since been on display.

This 1907 Cadillac benefits from an older restoration and boasts matching serial and engine numbers, per a copy of its factory build ledger on file. It is nicely equipped with brass cowl lamps, a large spotlight, Splitdorf ignition, a horn, luxurious button-tufted seats, a rear tail lamp, and carriage steps for ease of ingress and egress. It is eligible for Horseless Carriage Club of America events and tours, offering the ideal environment to drive, share, and enjoy such a rare early motor car.To view this car and others currently consigned to this auction, please visit the RM website at rmsothebys.com/auctions/hf26/.
