1965 Studebaker DaytonaThe 1964 Studebaker Daytona gained a four-door sedan, in addition to the station wagon and convertible offered on the six-cylinder line. The first series eight-cylinder models included the bodystyles from the six-cylinder line and added a 2-door hardtop with seating for six passengers. The Lark name had become de-emphasized except for the early Commander and Challenger models. The Commander models had replaced the 1963 Regal line while the Challenger had replaced the 1963 Standard line. The Daytona had wide side moldings, dual headlights, and 'Daytona' identification on the front fenders. Power was from an overhead valve six-cylinder engine displacing 169.6 cubic-inches and offering 112 horsepower. The V8 version displaced 259.2 cubic-inches and had 180 horsepower. Exteriorly, the Six- and Eight-cylinder models were similar with the eights having '8' emblems on the front fenders. The sedan and hardtop body styles had crossed checkered flag V-8 emblems located on the upper rear quarter panels.Studebaker was actually ahead of the curve when it comes to high horsepower engines in smaller lighter bodies. And they are also among the first to offer a supercharger as a factory option. ....The Studebaker Lark Daytona was produced from 1959 through 1966. The Lark and Lark-based variants were the bulk of the range produced by Studebaker after 1958. The Lark name was gradually phased out of the company catalog during the early 1960s, beginning with the 1963 Cruiser. In early 1964, Lark-based models were being markets under Daytona, Commander and Cruiser nameplates. Production would continue until 1966, when the Studebaker Company ceased automobile production. The Datyona version had bucket-seats and center consoles. When introduced, the Daytona replaced the Regal as the top-trim convertible and hardtop, although Regal versions of these body styles were still available. For 1963, the Daytona gained a Wagonaire body style, adding to the convertible and hardtop options. The Daytona's received new side trim that started as a narrow molding on the front fenders and widened toward the rear. For 1964, Studebaker added a four-door sedan to the Daytona lineup. Pricing ranged from $2830 - $3500 and was available with either an overhead valve six-cylinder engine or V8 powerplants.

This is a very nice 1925 Studebaker Coupe found in a barn in East Tennessee. The paint is thin and the body has some small dents and scratches. The back window has been shot 13 times with a BB gun. The car runs great and drive nicely. It also has an extra transmission and rear end. I don't know how many miles it has on it. It has the standard six engine and it has the original owners manual. The serial number is 1281738. It has the original wood floor in the trunk.
Those with a limited budget should consider purchasing a project vehicle as an option to entering into classic car ownership.
Specialty classics are usually out of reach for most of us, so thats why youll want to pay attention to this 1937 Studebaker Dictator. Its a distinct pre-war machine that has been updated/upgraded inside and out, and its offered at quite an obtainable price. A 30s era Studebaker is already intriguing just because its a rare sight on the classic car scene today. South Bend made quite a stylish machine. The pointed nose with torpedo-like floating headlights has an attractive first impression; suicide doors are always fashionable; and the flowing rear fender line even extends past the trunk. And the details are great, too, like the body crease that wraps around the rear window and how the grille seamlessly extends along the hood. But those are what Studebaker made direct from the factory, and you can instantly tell that this is far from just classic restored to original condition. The metallic element in the steel blue paint, bright dual exhaust tips, 15-inch alloys, and much more announce this is a cool custom machine. Inside are more instant indications of custom work. The seats are borrowed from a Buick that are half a century younger. Not only does the color coordinate nicely with the exterior, but also the pillow-top velour makes this quite a comfortable place to spend some time. In fact, this pre-war car has been updated with plenty of comfort features, including power front seats, power windows, power locks, and an AM/FM/CD/XM stereo. So with ample space to spread out in the front and back, and all these modern upgrades, you know this is a great classic for family and friends. But even when its just you driving solo, youll appreciate features like the wood-trimmed steering wheel and upgraded gauges also donated from a more modern Buick. The Buick also donated its heart to this classic Studebaker. The 3.8-liter V6 is not only larger than the original motor, but it makes parts availability far easier today. This motor comes with the right added components, including an aluminum radiator, electric fan, and topped with a four-barrel carburetor. Out on the road, this one has a far improved ride thanks to upgraded easy driving features like power steering, power brakes, an automatic transmission, and an independent front suspension. This Studebaker is a complete and thoughtful custom with head-turning appeal. Rarely is something this unique also so obtainable, so hurry up and call today!
This 1949 Studebaker Champion Starlight Coupe is the perfect attention-grabbing classic. It combines rarity with nice features and a solid investment in a quality. So we are amazed its offered for such an affordable price. We love the look of these Starlight coupes. The unique presentation with the long trunk and wrapping around rear glass made these look absolutely futuristic in the 40s. And more than just distinctive, its quite rare. Studebaker produced less than 10,000 of these Champion coupes in premium Regal Deluxe trim in 1949, and we doubt youre going to find a finer surviving example. This one received a nice restoration later in life, so the wraparound chrome bumpers, distinct grille, artful taillight bezels, and all the other brightwork shines like a regal classic should. Even the correct two-piece wheel covers are still in place! And the green paint offers the right period-correct presence and the perfect backdrop for all this shine. Inside is the ideal presentation for both show and comfort. For example, the seats are finished in a cozy plaid cloth. And the brown piping here nicely coordinates with the door panel trim for a very uniform presentation. You get the stylized Studebaker steering wheel with the thin and grippy grooves that instantly remind you of classic motoring. Beyond that are cool features like the column-mounted shifter and dash-mounted rear view mirror. This is truly vintage motoring at its best. Even the heater is still working so you wont have to freeze on those mornings when you want to be the first one at the car show. Plus, there are provisions for modern R134a air conditioning cleanly installed if you dont want to break a sweat on the way home! Studebakers sturdy 170 cubic-inch straight-six looks nice in this engine bay with the smooth green paint funneling your attention to all the period-correct components. More than just look good, you can tell by upgrades like the aluminum radiator that this classic was still meant to drive. And when you look at the undercarriage photos, you not only see an exceptionally clean car, but also you might notice that it has been set up with a true dual exhaust. So youll love letting it run into higher RPMs with the column-shifted three-speed manual transmission. Rarity, distinction, and all-around retro-cool coupes like this are usually not this affordable. So dont let someone else take home this Champion. Call today!!!
Cruisin Classics would like to introduce a 1959 Studebaker Silver Hawk. This rare bird comes to us street able and ready for a new owner. It starts right up and rolls down the road with a big car feel. The Hawaiian Green exterior is very eye-catching and is a color offered in the 1959 Studebaker color choices. The Continental Kit looks fantastic and was an option for the Silver Hawk. New chrome was another addition to bring it back. While the mileage is not accurate, we do know that for a car from 1959, it is standing tall and has good life left for another owner to enjoy its rarity and beauty. The drivetrain consists of a V8 engine (V431764) with a 2-barrel carburetor and a 3-speed automatic transmission. The rear end is stock. They all run and work well. Inside you will find a newer gray and black interior with a cloth/vinyl bench seat. The seats, carpet, door panels, dash, aftermarket Stewart-Warner Gauges, aftermarket Pyle Stereo all look great so little to no issues having to upgrade anything in the near future. The brakes are drum, the steering is manual with help from a Brody Knob. 215/70/15 Sumic Tires are on all 4 matched with steel wheels with wire caps. This Studebaker is a fantastic car for the price that will put you on top of the classic car collector game. It is ready for the show today. For sale in our Saint Louis showroom is a rarely seen 1963 Studebaker Avanti with a 4 speed. This frame off restored Avanti is powered by a 350 CID V8 engine with aluminum valve covers and a chrome K&N air filter. A Muncie M22 4 speed manual transmission with a Hurst shifter transfers the power to the rear end. The tires are in very good condition and as you can see in the video, it drives excellent. The body is painted a beautiful shade of green that has a very slight metallic flake. The paint is in very good condition, and the car shines up well. The gray interior features vinyl and cloth upholstery, and a wood grain steering wheel provides a nice touch to the overall appearance of the interior. BACKGROUND: The Avanti was a personal luxury coupe produced by The Studebaker Corporation June 1962 and December 1963. It originated as a doodle on a napkin in a jet plane west of Chicago by Sherwood Egbert just 37 days after he took over as President of Studebaker in February 1961. It was marketed as Americas only 4 passenger high-performance personal car. The Avanti broke nearly 30 records at the Booneville Salt Flats in Utah. Unfortunately the Studebaker factory in South Bend, IN shut down in December of 1963, and only 5800 Avantis were produced during the production run. The naming rights to Avanti were purchased, and the Avanti II was produced from some years. The odometer on this 1963 Avanti reads 40,911, the actual mileage is unknown, but approximately 9,000 miles have been enjoyed in the car since the restoration was complete. Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to present this 1960 Studebaker Champ Pickup. This is one you will not see every day. The Studebaker Champ was a light-duty pickup truck produced by the Studebaker Corporation from 1960-1964. The chassis and cargo box of the Champ were basically the same as what had been used for Studebakers and -ton trucks since 1949, but the cab section was very different. An entirely new cab was out of the question because of cost considerations, but the new Lark compact cars body proved to be just the right size and shape to suit the purpose. The engineering staff took a four-door sedan, cut it in half behind the front doors and modified the front half slightly to fit the truck chassis. The only new Sheetmetal stamping that was required was the back wall of the new cab. Minor modifications for mounting of the cab to the 1949-vintage truck frame were also made. The Larks front end Sheetmetal was retained as well, but funds were allocated to give the Champ a new horizontal-bar grille that delivered a tougher look. Powered by a 6 Cylinder engine. A wide variety of transmissions, both manual and automatic, were available in Champs. Base models came with a three-speed column shifted manual (AKA: 3 on the tree) and that s what this one has. Today, the Champs that still exist are highly prized for their interesting combination of passenger-car comfort and style and their rugged mechanical durability Options for this 1960 Studebaker Champ include; AM Radio, Cloth Interior and Hub Caps. This is the one you want to own.
