Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a 1967 Pontiac Tempest. From 64-67 the Tempest was Pontiac s mid-sized sedan with varying trim levels. Standard equipment was a 215 CID I6 with a one-barrel carburetor and 140 HP. This particular example sports an optional 326 CID V8 with a two-barrel carburetor. Behind the 326 is a three-speed manual transmission which is shifted on the column. The car has a great look, painted all black, with the upgrade of a GTO hood. Inside, you ll find black vinyl upholstery with a bench seat front and rear. Dont worry, this baby has air conditioning to keep the interior nice and cool. Pop the hood to find a factory appearing engine compartment, complete with the Pontiac blue engine paint. This one is mostly stock because it s a bit of a survivor, with only 61,652 original miles on the odometer. This is a great little piece of Pontiac history, perfect for the Pontiac enthusiast. You can see this 1967 Pontiac Tempest in greater detail in our St. Louis showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please contact 618-271-3000 or email@example.com with inquiries.

1964 Pontiac Tempest just recently had carb rebuilt with new seals and float. It runs and drives great. it get looks everywhere it goes. It has a 215 straight six but sounds really nice and has a healthy rumble to it. Three on the tree and shifts out nicely. drive the car 2-3 times a week but could be a daily driver if someone wanted it to be. Starts every time and is really dependable. It looks pretty good from 20 feet but needs painted to be really nice. No rust or rot throughout the car and trunk and floors are very solid. Seats are in great shape and interior is fair for the age. Not a show car, but a great driver that gets a lot of attention. Would make a good family cruiser for sure. Has clean title. Stock Number AAH8099

Ive got a 67 tempest with a 1973 pontiac 350 backed by a 2 speed powerglide. Installed a new lunati cam, double valve springs, 355 gears and posi carrier. The car isnt running at the moment bc it broke a rocker stud bc I didnt listen to my father. A common issue with Pontiacs when running a cam with more than 450 lift on 3/8 rocker studs. I installed a 504 lift cam and didnt swap to the 7/16 straight studs that can handle the high lift and radical cam profile. Swap the studs and have a nice running driving old driver again.Vehicle Location is at our clients home and Not In Long IslandPlease Call First for location and talk to one of our reps at 516 376 3471 FREE Consignments!! 1968 Pontiac Tempest Custom Hardtop. One of the few left that have not been made into a GTO. Rarer than a GTO, and only 30 less horsepower. This no-post car has been mostly located in GA and NC. The VIN plate establishes that the car was built in Baltimore Maryland, and is indeed, a Tempest Custom. Professionally painted in November 2016. Motor is a 5.7 liter (350) Pontiac, professionally rebuilt in June 2009, with hardened valve seats, so there is no need to use a lead additive in the fuel. The TH350 automatic transmission was professionally rebuilt in 2013. Rochester 4bbl carb professionally rebuilt in late 2015. Brakes overhauled in 2010. Master cylinder replaced in 2012. This Tempest has been re-wired with the Painless wiring system. Alternator replaced 2013. The high-torque starter was installed about the same time, and ensures a smooth start every time. Single CD AM/FM radio with 4 Pioneer speakers, and detachable face. Sport wheel. The original clock has been placed in storage, and was replaced with a GM tach. Seats professionally re-covered, and the original side panels were dyed at the same time. The old seat skins are in storage, as well as the old tail light lenses. The lenses were replaced with NOS (new old stock) lenses in 2012. The black carpet has been replaced and still looks like new. New Autozone gel battery. Newer tires, solid-white letter turned-in. Ball-joints, center link, rear shocks all have been recently replaced, as well as some bushings. No rust in trunk, and all of the pans were replaced in 2004. Receipts for most work since 2009. Ignition system update to point-less in late 2015, along with new wires, AC plugs, ignition ballast resistor, distributor vacuum control, coil, and fuel pump. Gas tank has just been painted, and was replaced about 7 years ago, along with the hood hinges and springs. The rear bumper has been replaced, with the old one placed in storage. The Pontiac motor combined with the Flowmaster dual exhaust system provides a sound that you will never forget. Heavy duty radiator. Heavy duty fan clutch. The radiator cap is different from what is seen in the photos, now stock, and both radiator hoses are about 6 months old. Visors just replaced. The remote vent windows provide excellent air circulation. Power steering. The wheels are 15 x 8's, and were purchased in late 2012. This car does not burn oil or run hot. Recently professionally detailed. This car is a real head-turner and gets more looks than any other car I have owned. A conversation piece where ever you go. The tail lights within the bumper and the Coke-bottle styling make the 1968 Pontiac Tempest hardtop one of the best designs ever. Financing available through JJBest.com. VIN# is 235378B140905. Clean title. The car may be heard on VIMEO.com. Just type 1968 Tempest Custom into the search block, and it should play. Please note that the exhaust pipes have been painted Argent Silver since the video was taken. 910.352.0159
Presenting my 1966 Pontiac Tempest with GTO options. This classic is restored and ready to be driven and enjoyed. This is a GTO Tribute, although it didn’t come as a GTO from the factory, the previous owner spared no detail on making it look like the real thing. Everything works, and it runs awesome. -California car-powered by a 389 tri-power with 3 2’s. -automatic 4-speed hydro-matic transmission. -Power brakes and power steering -Power covertible top-Title in hand with current registration -Custom Billet wheels-Paint is not perfect, I would call it a 7 out of 10. Has minor blemished (see pics). Have to get up close to see blemishes. -Missing stereo and antenna. (See pics) Vin number 235676Z108341This is a great car at a great price point, no trades please I’m trying to thin out my collection. (Too many cars) Jason 951-249-1031
This is my 1963 Pontiac Tempest Convertible ordered with the Custom Option. It is a second family-owned car, having purchased the Tempest from the son of the original owner (I have the original bill of sale and protecto plate that will go along with the car). It was ordered through Ebersole Pontiac in Lebanon, PA. Ordered with the Custom Option, it came with the 195 ci Trophy 4 cylinder (half of a 389 V8) with 4 barrel, automatic 2-speed transaxle, power brakes, power steering, clear steering wheel (restored), remote side view mirror, blue Triton upholstery, power convertible top, and deluxe wheel covers. The Tempest was restored in two parts over a 7 year timeframe. From 2010 to 2011, the Tempest was painted the original Yorktown blue (code on the body plate - see photo), rechrome work, vent window seals, and the convertible top were replaced. From 2013 to 2017, the engine and front suspension were restored and upgraded, along with the gas tank. The convertible power unit and rams were also replaced at this time. The engine was upgraded with a custom hydraulic roller camshaft cut by Bullet Racing Cams, and the block machined for Crower hydraulic roller lifters. The crank was polished 10/10 and neutral balanced (note the video) so there is no excessive vibration. The cylinder head was machined and fitted with Crower 1.5 roller rockers. The pistons are custom RaceTec Pistons. The Rochester 4GC carburetor was restored, including receiving an original dichromate finish, and outfitted with an electronic choke. The mechanical fuel pump was blocked off in favor of a Carter electric fuel pump that is wired with a relay. All of the engine parts, except for the cylinder head and block, have been powder coated early Pontiac engine blue. A new mini starter and Pertronix electronic ignition were installed. The exhaust crossover was eliminated, and a Ram Air III exhaust manifold (ceramic metallic coated) was used. The exhaust is 2.25-inch diameter custom built to match the original factory routing and also ceramic metallic coated. A new 4-core desert cooler copper and brass radiator was built using the original Harrison tanks and installed, as well as a radiator recirculation recovery system. The front suspension, including crossmember, was completely removed, powder coated satin black to match OE, and reinstalled using new bushings and ball joints. The upgrade is a front disc brake kit from Ben's Classics, new front coil springs from Coil Spring Specialties, and a new GM-type dual reservoir master cylinder and 7-inch booster (I still have the original brake parts that will go with the car, if wanted). KYB gas shocks were installed all around. The power steering was rebuilt by Lares Corp. The gas tank was cleaned and restored: zinc powder coated exterior with an interior seal using POR 15.The interior: the front bench seat had a few sections (center and end caps) restored/repaired by Ron Mangus using SMS interior original patterns. The rear seat is all original. The carpet was replaced in 2011...still have the original Pontiac vinyl frontfloor mats. The upgrades include an AM/FM stereo and MP3 connection radio conversion using the original radio, and 3-gauge cluster from the Autometer Custom Shop. The dash speakers were upgraded to Custom Autosound dual speakers mounted by a custom fabricated bracket that mounted to original location and fasteners. There is a pair of Custom Autosound boxed speakers under the front bench seat for a full stereo sound. The Tempest is driven often to car shows and cruises. I have lots of spare parts that can go with the car if wanted, including an extra set of grill inserts, emblems, rope shaft carrier bearing, two rear axles with bearings, extra automatic transaxle, rear tail lights, compete set (4) of deluxe wheel covers, original wheels restored and powder coated, etc. I'm getting close to retirement and need to reduce my collection, so I am putting this up for sale. Please don't hesitate to contact me if I missed anything, or if you have specific questions I did not address in the description. The price is OBO.
