Pure Pontiac through and through, this way cool 1963 Pontiac LeMans is a high-performance machine in disguise. An awesome example of early Pontiac muscle, its got finesse, horsepower, and incredible good looks, all at a very reasonable price. The Le Mans bodywork never looked this good from the factory, and the slick little 2-door post coupe makes a fine foundation for a muscle car. The handsome burgundy sheetmetal almost looks shrink-wrapped over the mechanicals, and with the bumper tucked in close to the body, that hood scoop borrowed from a Super Duty Tempest, and lots of factory trim that still looks great. Finish quality is decent, with straight bodywork and a minimum of frills, although they kept all the chrome details to make it sparkle. Note the fender ornaments above the headlights, the traditional Pontiac split grille, and the cool Pontiac chevrons on the quarter panels, all of which mean you can find something new to appreciate every time you look at the car. You can bet this mean little Poncho gets attention. The gorgeous interior is quite stock, and thats quite all right with us. The seats were re-covered at some point but look like they should and remain comfortable enough for long trips. A skinny 2-spoke steering wheel frames the factory gauges, which amount to speed, fuel level, and time, but dont worry, a full array of Equus gauges were installed under the dash. Tan carpets recall the original design, and youll note that the door panels match the upholstery, giving it a very clean, cohesive look. The only demerits might be the small tear in the headliner and a little bit of age to the carpets themselves. The trunk is exceptionally clean, suggesting an easy life in a warm climate, and includes a full-sized spare tire assembly, just in case. The hardware on this car is what is really impressive. The engine is a 389 cubic inch Pontiac V8, so they kept it as OEM as possible. It was rebuilt to stock specs, although it now wears an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor on top and a set of finned valve covers to make it look racy. Theres a modern alternator up front, along with a big aluminum radiator with big fans pulling through it, so it doesnt get fussy in the heat. And lest you think that this is just a straight-line machine, please take a look underneath where youll find a front disc brake upgrade, factory suspension, and a growling Flowmaster exhaust. And yes, the Lemans used that very trick transaxle out back with a fully independent suspension, so this slick 2-door feels a lot more like a Corvette than youd expect. Newer shocks, clean floors, and a transmission that was rebuilt less than 1000 miles ago mean that its ready to go right now. Vintage Torque Thrusts are a great choice and carry fat BFGoodrich T/A radials that fill the fenders perfectly. This rare Lemans is quite a find and for the Pontiac fan it represents a great expression of Pontiac performance that cant be missed. Built at a time when automakers were willing to take chances, its a car thats always going to generate some attention. Call today!
1968 Pontiac LeMans Convertible This car received a restoration to stock condition some years ago and it shows. Runs, drives and stops as it should. Every thing works. - Very Good Condition- Pontiac 350- Three Speed Transmission - Power Top- Window Sticker - Owner Manual - Warranty Card
1972 was the last year of production before 5 MPH bumper regulations forced manufacturers to dramatically change the front-end styling of their cars and build them longer and heavier to meet the new requirements. This pre-regulation Le Mans has a great looking front end, and with those hood scoops, even looks a bit like GTO. Pontiacs trademark feature is a split grill. The body colored bumper flows up and around the grill on each side meeting in the center and is flanked by quad headlights. A set of hood scoops are perched just above the grill, pretty far forward on the hood, adding a bit of an aggressive look. The body is completely stock, and sometime in the past, has been resprayed in the factory original Quezal Gold. There are crease lines just above the wheel wells that bulge out like they are flexing a bit of muscle and the sloped rear window gives it a bit of a fastback look. A chrome rear bumper ties the look together nicely by picking up the splashes of chrome around the wheel wells and along the rocker panel. Open the door and you will find a black interior that has been refreshed and is in really nice condition. The door panel has chrome piping outlining the center and the pull handle. There is a two spoke steering wheel sitting in front of a wood tone upper dash panel with gauges set into it that appear to be newer. Ventilation and A/C controls are off to the right a bit just over the radio which sits in a brushed aluminum panel that underlines everything. The center console also gets the wood treatment and has the floor shifter for the automatic transmission. Pleated bucket seats are comfortable for cruising around town or cruising cross country and being a mid-sized car, there is plenty of room to take a few friends with you on those trips too. Carpets with floor mats and a neat and clean headliner tie the interior together nicely. Under the hood you will find a stock and numbers matching, unmolested 350-cubic inch V8. There are signs of regular maintenance and the A/C is still running R12 and is still blowing cold. A fresh exhaust system has been hung front to rear that includes nice sounding Flowmaster mufflers. The suspension has also been refreshed with new springs and shocks both front and rear as well as new sway bar links up front. The car sits on PMC steel wheels with trim rings with 205/75R14 tires all around. Good looking, nice driving, mid-sized V8 car for you, (and your friends too if you wish) to head out and have some adventures in.
The Pontiac Le Mans was truly on the wide track for 1964, and today that makes them one cool cruiser. So when you can find a convertible with the right colors, plenty of V8 power, and some nice upgrades all offered at such a nice price youre looking at a deal thats always in style. This was a legendary year for Pontiac. The Le Mans got all-new styling to go with an upgrade in size. This allowed it to really show off the famous Wide-Track theme by giving it two wide grilles and headlights pushed all the way out into the fender line. And the way the chrome bumper rises in the middle to meet the power bulge of the hood really shows off some sporty style. Its no wonder this is the face that started the muscle car craze. And when they hear this one growl, you might even hear some people whisper GTO (more on that in a moment.) More than just the front end, the whole body has a terrific look with crisp panels and door that close with authority. Its all wrapped in a bright red that radiates every time the sunlight hits it exactly what you want in a sunshine-friendly droptop. If you like the way the crisp black roof looks against the red, then with the flip of a switch, youll love powering it down to reveal the full black interior. The bucket seats, door panels, and carpeting looks quite correct and well-respected. In fact, this one has a nice original flair, right down to the AM radio thats still cranking out tunes. It feels quite sporty with the center console, floor shift, and machine-turned dash panel. Plus, there are some subtle upgrades like the wood and chrome sports steering wheel and auxiliary gauges to let you know theres something more under the hood, too. This was born a V8 car, and so its great to see a correct displacement 326 cubic-inch motor still under the hood. The correctly-colored blue block looks great as it stands out in the black engine bay. It was even recently serviced to keep it running strong. The V8 inhales deeply thanks to an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor upgrade. Plus, headers add more power while also contributing to the rumble of the dual exhaust. This enhanced V8 is the perfect pairing in a convertible meant to be driven. Thats why you have great features like a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, front disc brakes, and modern Michelin tires on Torq Thrust wheels. There are even thick sway bars front and rear. The sale come complete with Pontiac Historic Services (PHS) documentation and maintenance records. When an interesting and well-presented classic like this is also so affordable, you know you need to hurry to grab this deal. Call today!!!
Chevrolet celebrates 100 years of building pickup trucks as former chief engineer who helped Chevy trucks reaching this popularity celebrates turning 101.
As an impressive and rare survivor, this 1972 Pontiac Le Mans Convertible hits all the high notes for V8 power, a luxury interior, and an absolute standout wherever it goes. So dig into all the details on this well-documents and low mileage droptop classic. This looks like at GTO, and thats no accident. Those who know Pontiacs, know there was no GTO convertible in 1972, but there was a droptop with very similar packaging called the Le Mans Sport. Complete with sporty hood scoops and the optional Endura front end, its a dead ringer for a GTO in convertible form. Best of all, a code D67 car like this is rare less than 3,500 were produced in 72 and just imagine how many are this well preserved. The look of this Le Mans is impressive with the Sundance Orange paint almost completely original. Part of the reason this can last of four decades and still shine so brightly is this convertible has averaged less than 1,100 miles annually. You can further tell this one has been treated with respect during its lifetime by the way the side trim showcases the panel straightness, the shine of the iconic Rally II wheels, and even how the bumper fits snugly into the overall appearance of the sleek rear deck. And speaking of the bumper, have you noticed the original dealer decal? Yes, this really is impressive, right down to the details. If you thought the parchment roof looked great against the exterior orange, then youre going to love the parchment interior even more. After all, convertibles are meant to be open to the world. Just like the exterior, the interior is highly original and exceptionally well preserved. Theres plenty of room for family and friends, but this will always reward the driver the most. You get bucket sets up front with an armrest center console in-between. The wood applique accents on the console nicely coordinate with the dash and steering wheel for a classic luxury feeling. Plus, there are great modern upgrades like the AM/FM/CD stereo, auxiliary gauge trio hidden in the glovebox, and R134a air conditioning. That last one is particularly handy, because this loaded Pontiac also has power windows and a power convertible top. So you never have to even leave the drivers seat to go from enclosed comfort to a wind-in-your-hair experience. And the cold A/C means you can do this all summer long! Under the hood is the original numbers-matching 400 cubic-inch V8. Not only is this a great motor for power, but there have been the right investments to keep it feeling strong. This includes a full tune-up last year, newer bushings & shocks, and even the dual exhaust was replaced in 2009. If this sounds like a classic meant to be a cruiser than youll also like features such as power steering, an automatic transmission, front disc brakes, and modern Hankook tires. Something this special comes with all the right paperwork to back it up. This includes the original warranty card, title documentation, reproduction window sticker, reproduction buildsheet, owners manual, and Pontiac Historic Services (PHS) documentation. So this is the amazing survivor-grade Pontiac that we know you wont be able to resist adding miles to the odometer. But the only way to be the next keeper of this history is to be the first to grab this deal. Call today!!!

The entire GM "A" body intermediate line was restyled that year, gaining more curvaceous styling with kicked-up rear fender lines for a "Coke-bottle" look, and a slightly "tunneled" backlight. The tail light featured a louvered cover, only seen on the GTO. Overall length grew only fractionally, to 206.4 in, still on a 115 in wheelbase, while width expanded to 74.4 in.To see over 80 photos of this car, including under carriage please visit our website www.grautogallery.com
