This classic woody wagon was custom built by Cecil Taylor with Hercules Motor Car in Tampa Florida and completed in 2003. This gorgeous Woody Wagon was once owned by the eccentric and world-renowned Decatur, Georgia based designer, Ryan Gainey. Mr. Gainey and I were friends and next-door neighbors, and he left the woody to me following his death in a tragic fire in the summer of 2016 while heroically attempting to save his beloved Jack Russell Terriers; Leo, Baby Ruth, and Jelly Bean.I once asked him why he purchased that particular wagon and he responded that ever since seeing Chitty Chitty Bang Bang he had always wanted a Woody. I spent countless hours painstakingly refurbishing the car to its current condition.Let’s face it, anyone can go out and buy a Ferrari or a well-done Mustang, but this ride is a real head turner and has a very distinctive vibe that you just can't get anywhere else. If you should find yourself in the driver's seat of this woody, please be forewarned, I can't even drive it around the block without getting honks, waves, thumbs up and the like, and you will likely get the same thing. So if any of that offends you this car is not for you. Believe it or not (and don’t tell my wife) but I even get waves and smiles from pretty ladies who would never give me the time of day if I were in my daily driver. This past August, just after I completed the refurbishment work, I took The Woody to Caffeine and Octane (and if you didn’t already know: it's a monthly nationally recognized all makes, all models car show in Atlanta, GA that regularly attracts over 2,000 vehicles and 15,000 fans). As I rolled in, I parked where I was directed, with all the other thousands of cars. While talking to a buddy a few spaces over during the setup, I noticed a gentleman swiftly making a b-line towards The Woody. He took a quick pensive walk around stopping briefly at all four sides. He then quickly stuck his head inside, and when it came out he said, “who’s the owner of this car"? I stepped up and said, "I am." He went on to ask, "have you ever been in the featured area before"? I replied no. He said let's go. I'm not trying to brag but out of over 2,000 cars in attendance that day I thought it was an honor to have been asked to be a featured automobile. TO READ OUR STORY CLICK ON OUR DEALER PHOTOA few weeks ago I sold the nicest Custom '32 Ford 2-Door Coupe I had ever seen ... or ever owned ... to a wonderful gentleman from Ohio. It had extensive Pin striping with very rare, intricate, hand applied Gold Leaf Appliqués on the hood, dash and rear of the car. Well ... my new friend in Ohio related to me that his father (who had recently passed away) was a reasonably famous Dirt Track Race Car driver (back in the day) and that the gentleman who had lettered his Race Cars was a master of the rare Gold Leaf Appliqués process ... and ... had often used it on his father's cars. It was a wonderful story and I was thrilled that we could provide him a '32 Ford customized a lot like his father's Race Cars.As part of the deal, we took his "Pride-And-Joy", '32 Ford Highboy Convertible in trade. Now ... To say it was, well cared for is an understatement! Air conditioning Rack & pinion steering Power disc brakes Power windows Rumble seat Tilt deluxe wheel Stereo system Polished wheels SW gauges
This 34 Roadster is refreshing, its just so crisp and clean looking. Love the classic look with the big headlights, chrome grill and even the Greyhound hood ornament. It is restored to show quality throughout, even underneath. EXTERIOR: Has a glass finish bright white paint. It was done by a top painter in Tennessee. As I walk around it the I dont see any cracks, chips or flaws other the the paint on the edge of the hood by the ornament is touched up. I also like the suicide doors, original style tail lights, chrome swing out windshield and of course the rumble seat. Sharp looking set of staggered size Halibrand polished aluminum wheels with spinners. Reportedly several thousand dollars spent on the wheels. Big block powered 3 window coupe. This tough looking car really is that tough. Tires as wide as a steam roller, the side exhaust rumbles the throttle begs to be mashed. Only 2,300 miles since built. EXTERIOR: Wow, look at that color. It is a House of Colors candy apple red that looks like a piece of wet candy. There are subtle flames under the clear coat finish. The sides of the hood are scalloped. One cool feature is turnsignals and brake lights. Honestly I dont know how they even do it but they are cut into the fenders and body and are flush. They are literally smooth to the touch. It also features aluminum bullet shaped headlights, aluminum mirrors and running board strips.
