1969 Chevrolet Camaro

Sales numbers really jumped up in 69, with the Camaro pushing 243,085 units off the lots. Part of the success was due to the refreshed styling, which saw skinnier three-block taillights, two large round headlights pushed all the way to the sides of the grille, a pointier front fascia, and slightly reworked body panels. If the buyer chose the RS trim, the headlights were made flush with the grille, and three stacked slits covered the lights. This was also the first year that variable-ratio power steering became an option. SS trims offered a 300hp 350 V8 or a 375hp 396. Largely considered one of the most beautiful cars of all time, the 69 would later provide direct inspiration for the fifth-gen Camaros. A fine example of the 1st generation Camaro. This 1969 Camaro is an original X11 350 SS car. This offering is a high-end, older quality restoration that shows a few small stone chips here and there from enjoying the car. Absolutely a stunning car with the burgundy color and orange stripes to the beautiful white interior. All body panels appear to be original and the underside of the car is as nice as the top. The drive train consists of a 396ci 375hp big block, Muncie 4-speed manual transmission and a 12 bolt rear-end. Hurst shifter with line lock. Interior has full SS gauge package with console and a Hurst shifter with line lock.... Read more

1988 Porsche 911 Turbo In 1975 Porsche introduced the first 911 Turbo, also referred to as the 930 model. The body shape incorporated large flared fenders to accommodate much larger wheels and tires as well as a large rear spoiler often referred to as the whale tail. Initial cars had the 3.0-liter motor producing 260 HP through a 4 speed gearbox. The 930 was a street version of the highly successful racing derivative 934 model. In 1978, Porsche enlarged the size of its engine to 3.3 liters, now producing 300 HP. The larger engine addressed the level of turbo lag which was inherent with the 3.0 version. Offered is a 1988 911 Turbo in black with black leather interior. Tastefully enhanced with a larger turbo intercooler, adjustable strut brace and turbo boost control, this 911 Turbo is a road hugging rocket ship. The Ferrari 360 was built at the Maranello factory from 1999-2005, succeeding the popular F355 in the V8 mid-engine platform. The 360 was built with an entirely new aluminum space frame chassis that was lighter and 40% stiffer than the 355. The entirely new 3.6-liter engine produced 395 bhp and propelled the new model from 0-62 mph in 4.5 seconds. 2 tenths faster than its predecessor, the lower weight and greater horsepower made the 360 the quickest of the V8 models ever produced in street trim. Initially offered as a coupe model or Modena, a year later the Spider was introduced in cabriolet form. A special performance edition, Challenge Stradale was offered in very limited coupe form for those demanding the highest level in street legal performance. A total number of 8,800 Modenas and 7,565 Spiders were produced for worldwide distribution. Of that number 1,810 Modenas and 2389 Spiders were produced for the US market. Offered with either a manual 6-speed transmission or F-1 style automatic, just 670 Spiders were produced with the 3 pedal manual gearbox. Offered here is a fully loaded 2001 Ferrari 360 Spider. With just 11,500 original miles, this Platinum winning Rossa Corsa with tan interior checks all the boxes with regards to the factory options list. 1971 Dodge Challenger

56,796

1971 Dodge Challenger R/T For 1971, planners looked at the 1970 sales and simplified the range slightly, otherwise largely leaving Challenger and Barracuda intact. They added in the 340 V8, a lightweight but powerful engine that gave serious performance without hurting agility; with the 340 in the line, the U-code 440 four-barrel was dropped. The 383 was detuned to 300hp and was only available with the R/T; and the 440 Six-Pack was now 5hp lower. The visible changes for were switching from a single tail lamp design in 1970 to two distinct lights in 1971; and using a new twin-inlet grille, painted silver on standard models and black on R/Ts, which also got fiberglass quarter-panel louvers. The slow-selling ragtop R/T was not available, but a few savvy buyers optioned 340 non-R/T hardtops and ragtops with the Go-Wing, Shaker, Rallye Gauge Cluster, and the side stripes that mimicked the R/T versions. The 1971 340 R/T, like 1970s A40 340 performance Challengers (often badged as R/Ts), had a tachometer with a higher redline than their big block brethren. By the same token, you could order a 340 R/T look-alike with a shaker and a go-wing, and most of the R/T paraphernalia, without the higher insurance premiums. The 1971 SEs back window grew to normal size. The Challenger Deputy, a low-cost version with fixed rear side glass and a 198 slant six, joined the base, SE, and R/T models. 1971 Dodge Challenger pace car sales were dramatically lower in 1971, despite being the Indy 500 pace car - or perhaps because the pace car crashed into the press box. Production was a mere 30,000 units or so, and the R/T - again, the only car to feature the 383 and 440 - sold just 4,630 units. The writing was clearly on the wall; the older Charger was easily outselling Challenger, as was Dart Swinger (which cleared 100,000 units in 1971). Over at Plymouth, they sold over 14,000 Road Runners - a dress-up and performance-enhancement package on top of the standard Satellite - as well as 173,592 Dusters (not including 12,886 Duster 340s and over 48,000 similar Scamps). Plymouth wasnt doing much better with their version of the Challenger, a shorter-wheelbase design called the Barracuda: for 1971, they sold fewer than 20,000 of the cars. 1970 Dodge Hemi Challenger RT Although the Dodge Challenger was the last entrant in the pony car ranks of Detroits Big Three, it arrived with something its competitors didnt have: the greatest range of powertrain choices in the industry, from the small but durable 225-cubic-inch Slant Six to the fearsome Elephant Motor - the 426 HEMI. And although it lasted only five model years, the Dodge Challenger became one of the most storied muscle car nameplates in automotive history, with meticulously restored and rare examples today selling for six-figure prices. 1970 The Dodge Challenger made its debut in the fall of 1969 as a 1970 model. While it shared Chryslers E-body short-deck, long-hood platform with the third-generation Plymouth Barracuda, Dodge Challengers wheelbase was two-inches longer, creating more interior space. The Dodge Challenger was originally offered as a two-door hardtop or convertible, in base, SE (Special Edition), R/T (Road/Track) and T/A (Trans-Am) trim. But it was the range of powertrain choices that was truly remarkable: 225-cubic-inch I-6; 145 horsepower 318-cubic-inch V-8; 230 horsepower 340-cubic-inch V-8; 275 horsepower (290 horsepower in the T/A) 383-cubic-inch V-8; 290 horsepower 383-cubic-inch V-8; 330 horsepower 383-cubic-inch V-8; 335 horsepower 426-cubic-inch HEMI V-8; 425 horsepower 440-cubic-inch V-8; 375 horsepower 440-cubic-inch V-8; 390 horsepower Driveline choices for various engines included Chryslers TorqueFlite automatic transmission and a three- or four-speed manual which could be equipped with a Hurst pistol-grip shifter. Big-block Challengers could be ordered with a heavy-duty Dana 60 differential equipped with limited-slip differential. Even the paint schemes said performance, with colors including Plum Crazy and HEMI Orange, accented with bumblebee stripes. Customers could further customize their cars with twin-scooped hoods, shaker hoods, and rear deck wings. Befitting the brands performance heritage, the Dodge Challenger went racing in its first year. For the street, it was offered in the limited-edition T/A model to meet homologation requirements for Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Trans-Am racing. The T/A was one of the first production vehicles to offer different size tires in the front and back; E60 x 15-inches front and G60 x 15-inches rear. In 1970, Sam Posey drove the lone Trans-Am racing Challenger, prepared and run by Ray Caldwells Autodynamics Race Shop. While he didnt win a race in the No. 77 car, Posey finished fourth overall in points. Drag racers including Dick Landy and Ted Spehar also campaigned Challengers in the National Hot Rod Associations new Pro Stock class. In 1970 and 1971, the HEM bIowered Challengers (and Plymouth Cudas) virtually ruled the class. On the big screen, a 1970 Challenger R/T starred in the film Vanishing Point, a high-speed pursuit movie that has become a cult favorite with muscle-car fans. The movie was remade for television in 1997. Other 1970 Dodge Challengers have been seen in films including Used Cars, Natural Born Killers and Phantasm I and II; and in television shows including Mod Squad. For the 1970 model year, just over 83,000 Dodge Challengers were sold. Broadcast sheet sequence # 154766 VIN# JS23R0B154766 Delivered 12/12/1969 to Grand Spaulding Dodge, Chicago, Illinois.
