So it turns out that trucks make pretty cool rods, as this 1955 Chevy 3100 so ably demonstrates. All the usual tricks work here, and what you get when youre done is a stylish, fun, and surprisingly practical hauler that will attract attention wherever it goes. First of all, the two-tone copper over white paint is an eyeball magnet, offering a traditional look with a few tweaks to give it a custom look. Its still got plenty of authenticity, dont worry about losing the trucks personality, but the shaved hood ornament and custom pinstriping on the already clean lines of the all-new 3100 really work well. The bodywork, which was already dramatic right out of the box, looks great wearing that soft white paint, which is a little creamy, not a hard, bright white, just as it might have been back in the day. A lot of the original trim is intact, and the grille, bumpers, and hooded headlights are in pretty good shape, highlighting whats arguably the first high-fashion pickup truck; you can see the ties to the passenger car line everywhere you look and thats purely intentional. The bed is still functional, too, with wood planks that are in just the right condition that you wont worry about throwing some tools back there and getting a job done somewhere. After all, isnt that why you own a pickup truck? The interior has been given a full makeover as well, and the working-class accommodations have been replaced by first-class white and copper vinyl. The late-model bench seat looks like a natural fit in the 3100s cab and has been covered with a period-looking pleated upholstery with copper piping, so it all works well together. A custom center console offers a pair of cup holders and holds the Lokar shifter for the TH350 3-speed automatic transmission underneath. Black carpets are the right choice in a truck and keep it from being too soft, and the matching door panels have been as nicely finished as the seat. The stock gauges are still monitoring the engine, along with a white-faced temperature gauge built into the center stack. There is no radio, but its ready for the entertainment system of your choice, and sometimes starting from scratch is easier than fixing someone elses mess. Finishing it off is a late-model tilt steering column with a rather weathered steering wheel that doesnt quite look right, so thats another place where you could add some value and style without spending much cash. Just as in 1955, theres a small block Chevy 350 V8 under the hood delivering the power. Its functional and pretty stock, save for the Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and intake manifold, so theres smooth power available and it never gets fussy. Some smart upgrades make it reliable and comfortable, including an alternator, power steering, and a modern dual reservoir power brake master cylinder. A big radiator up front keeps things cool. An independent front suspension gives the 3100 improved ride and handling without hurting its ability to work as a truck and it channels power back to a 10-bolt rear end with highway-friendly gears inside. Long-tube headers and a dual exhaust system dumps out just ahead of the rear wheels and sounds fantastic. Color-matched truck Rally wheels are a nice touch and theyre wrapped in big 265/70/15 BFGoodrich T/A radials that really fill the fenders nicely. Who doesnt like a Chevy Task Force era truck? Theyve got a ton of personality, theyre super popular at car shows, and they look like theyre raring to go even when theyre parked. This pretty 1956 Chevrolet 3100 has all of the charm and style with plenty of power and some nice upgrades...sounds good to us! The handsome burgundy paint comes from a late-model color chart and you have to admit it looks great here. The paint job was done a few years ago and its holding up great with a nice gloss that seems about right for a pickup, not perfect but it shines up nicely. The 3100 was all-new in 1955, ostensibly to showcase the new small block V8, so they didnt mess with a good thing in 56, and that was the right choice. Youll note the grille has been chrome plated in a nod to tradition, and the rest of the trim is in excellent shape, although the hood has been cleaned up a bit. Gaps are good all around and the stepside bed wears a set of chrome bed rails that give it a dressed-up look. Out back youll find a smooth tailgate, custom LED taillights, and a trick roll pan with exhaust pipe cutouts. The front bumper is similar to those found on passenger cars to further tie the two together in consumers minds. The bed is beautifully finished oak and it looks great, with a vintage look that has character. Inside youll sit on a late-model front seat setup that includes power buckets and a functional center console. The dash was painted to match the exterior, as were the doors and the rest of the interior, although the handsome gray inserts on the doors soften things up a bit. Theres matching gray carpet on the floor and a late-model steering wheel on the original column to help you get comfortable, A/C has been neatly installed under the dash, it still uses stock gauges in a beautiful chevron-shaped pod (again, a nod to the passenger car line), and it has power windows, too! An AM/FM/cassette head unit has been installed in the center of the dash although that is probably due for an upgrade as well. And with that giant rear window, it sure is bright and airy inside! Pop the hood and check out the smooth 283 cubic inch small block V8 inside. Its pretty mild but offers useful power that allows you to still use this truck as a truck. It also looks pretty much the way youd expect when you open the hood of a truck like this: freshened but not radical. You could get a small block motor in 1956, but it certainly didnt run or look this good. Theres an Edelbrock carburetor up top, a set of finned valve covers, and a chrome alternator makes plenty of electricity. Original rams horn exhaust manifolds feed a dual exhaust system with performance mufflers, so it sounds racy enough, but the front suspension remains a solid axle on leaf springs so it doesnt lose its vintage truck feel. Power routes back through a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission and on to the original rear end. 15-inch aluminum wheels hold a set of 225/75/15 General tires, so its got a sturdy look thats ready to work or play. Painted a brilliant semi-metallic green from DuPont called Pond Scum Green, this slick pickup represents the first of the pickups that were actually styled by designers rather than merely engineered. As a result, they carry a lot of automotive-inspired design cues, and if you see a little bit of Shoebox Chevy in the design, the coincidence is purely intentional. Of course, the fact that it was finished to todays standards certainly helps, and theres not a ripple, dent, pockmark, or dent anywhere on the beautiful surface of this truck. The paint is about a mile deep, and has been rubbed and buffed to a mirror-like shine, and while there are a few signs of having been driven, its still a show-stopper. Enhancing the polished look is a custom 1957 grille, shaved emblems, and a bunch of louvers punched into the tailgate. Behind that tailgate, youll find a beautifully finished oak bed with polished stainless strips that tie in with the bright chrome bumpers and taillights. And youll note this is the desirable big window cab, making it feel airy inside without spoiling the vintage look. Gorgeous tan leather is the dominant theme inside, with the original bench seat replaced by what appears to be a custom split bench that looks right at home in the cab. Custom door panels and plus carpets certainly help it feel far more luxurious than 1956. Fortunately, it retains a 50s sensibility but the modern materials will definitely attract more than their fair share of appreciative nods at shows. The dash uses a set of custom gauges that mimic the original while providing a bit more information, and A/C vents have been discreetly tucked underneath in their own special panel. A tilt wheel with a custom billet wheel adds to the 21st century feel, as well as the custom head unit in the original radios slot, with speakers scattered throughout the cab. Its just spectacular inside and you can see that cubic dollars were spent to make it look this good. Underneath that beautiful green sheetmetal, youll find a heavily fortified chassis. Up front theres a 350 cubic inch ZZ4 crate motor that packs quite a bit more power than the original 283. Theres plenty of flash thanks to the custom pinstriped air cleaner assembly, finned valve covers, and a few chrome bits. But its also fully operational thanks to an Edelbrock carb, Bow Tie intake manifold, and a big Walker radiator up front. Power rack-and-pinion steering and power front disc brakes came with the Southern Rods independent front suspension, which gives it agile handling, particularly for a pickup. A smooth-shifting automatic transmission clicks through the gears, feeding a GM rear end from a 2001 Chevy Blazer hanging on a 4-link with coil-over shocks. A Flowmaster dual exhaust system gives it just a little bit of rumble, but it doesnt intrude, making this truck an easy long-distance hauler. Look, you are either going to think this 1959 Chevrolet 3100 pickup is the coolest thing youve ever seen, or youre just not going to get it. If youre a member of the holy cow, thats incredible! group, then youre in for a treat, because this might just be the worlds coolest sleeper. With a twin-turbo LS motor, 600 horsepower, and that awesome patina look, this truck is rolling cognitive dissonance. Wow! Patina trucks are all the rage right now, but theres a fine line between patina and rusty. Fortunately, this truck doesnt have to tread that line, because all the patina you see was applied by a very talented painter, not Mother Nature. So no worries about something falling off as you rip off 10-second quarter-mile passes. Its convincing and show-goers are going to be tempted to rub their fingers over the mottled surface, and what could be better for keeping a low profile? Chevy fans will recognize that theres a 55 front clip on this 59 truck, and it looks great. Theres a cool faded Salt Flats Recovery sigil on the doors, and it ties in neatly with the fake tow hook mounted in the bed. This truck sure looks like it should be dragging some lakes speedster home. Nothing was shaved or deleted, so you get a stock bumper with plenty of wear and tear, a white grille that hasnt been painted in decades, and factory-style mirrors. But if you look closely, you might notice those oversized rear fenders, but the illusion is so convincing that most folks wont even give it a second glance. Thats why this truck is so cool. The interior is anything but patina, and youll be happy to spend plenty of time there. A custom Glide Engineering bench seat was upholstered with cloth inserts to resemble an indian blanket, there are bamboo floor mats, and everything was covered in olive-colored leather for a very upscale look. The custom gauge panel is full of white-faced Nordskog instruments and the rest of the dash was smoothed and finished in more olive green, with an A/C unit tucked underneath. A floor shifter, push-button start, and a tilt column with a billet wheel all work to make it feel rather modern from behind the wheel. No radio, but once you hear this monster run, youll never think about it again. Check it out, its just gorgeous! The engine is a 4.8 liter LS V8 thats being force-fed by a twin-turbo system built by Morgan Performance Fabrication. Each 60-1 T04S blower is capable of supporting 600 horsepower by itself and with that beautiful stainless plumbing, the engine bay is a work of art as well as highly functional. Dual air-to-water intercoolers work with a Bosch pump and a giant heat exchanger to keep everything cool and 60 lb-hr injectors keep it well-fed. Theres a giant aluminum radiator up front and with custom programming, its easy to drive, docile, and very user-friendly. But open it up, and the 3-inch exhaust roars and this incredible hauler gets up and hauls! Fortunately, youve got a tubular 1969 Camaro front suspension with coil-overs to keep it pinned down, and the 4L65E transmission was rebuilt 600 miles ago to handle the engines output. In back theres a Ford 9-inch that was custom narrowed and filled with 3.50 gears and held in place with a set of Caltrack traction bars. Fortunately, theres also a disc brake at all four corners and a big fuel cell hanging out back. Plain-Jane steelies are the absolute right choice, although the 12-inchers out back will make a statement to anyone paying attention. This might just be the coolest vintage pickup weve ever seen. This 1959 Chevrolet Apache is a truck that needs no excuses. It looks great, it packs a fresh 283 cubic inch V8, and its still practical enough to actually use as a truck. If you want a do-everything hobby vehicle, you could certainly do worse than this black stepside. Today, honest vintage pickup trucks that are still ready, willing and able to go to work are getting harder to find all the time. Fortunately, this one is ready to rock and thats all original steel that has never required major surgery, and the black paint shows it off to great effect. Instead, it has been properly maintained and lightly used for the past 53 years, and presents in solid condition today. The doors open and close solidly, the hood fits well, and the whole truck looks eager to get back to work. In the bed, youll find a proper-looking bed thats finished in basic black, not polished like a dance floor, so you wont be afraid to use it. Theres also a good bit of chrome on the top-of-the-line Apache, including the ornate grille, big bumpers, and those cool emblems on the front fenders, all of which are in good condition overall, although the rear bumper is showing its age. <BR The interior has been very nicely finished, and shows you just how basic these machines were when they were new. Forget luxury, these were little more than tools and nobody in 1958 was buying a pickup truck without needing to haul something. The seat features a new tan cloth cover, theres a correct rubber floor mat on the floor, and the door panels are finished to match the seat. The dash features a single stylish triangular pod for the speedometer, along with four smaller auxiliary gauges that are built right in, and theres an auxiliary gauge under the dash. Youll also note that it has the original three-on-the-tree 3-speed manual transmission, something familiar to more than a few of us who learned to drive out in the country. The big steering wheel makes it easy to wheel the truck around and its surprisingly nimble given its utilitarian roots. The only notable upgrade is a new AM/FM stereo system that has been nicely integrated into the original dashboard. Pop that big hood and youll be pleasantly surprised to find a 283 cubic inch V8, which was on the menu in 1958. Nicely detailed with Chevrolet Orange paint along with Chevrolet script valve covers and a chrome air cleaner, it looks right at home in the big engine bay. It uses an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor to help build power, but the overall look is very much in tune with the period. Underneath, its exceptionally clean, from the frame to the suspension. A fresh dual exhaust system gives it a little bit of a growl, and there are no signs that this was ever a rusty truck. Manual drum brakes do their job properly and live inside a set of newer Rally wheels with fat 15-inch BFGoodrich T/A radials. Clean, honest trucks like this are getting hard to find, but theyre worth the search. Imagine driving it to work on nice days, then hitting Home Depot or the local garden center on the weekends. Just because its old and cool doesnt mean it cant earn its keep. This Apache is a solid, reliable, well-maintained truck thats ready for another 58 years of work.

With patina being all the rage today, taking something that looks old and filling it with fresh mechanicals is an awesome way to have your cake and eat it, too. The bodywork on this 1952 Chevy 3100 pickup looks like its been working the back 40 for decades, but the slammed stance, updated running gear, and custom interior all suggest that its been working out in its spare time. The bodywork is original, which is to say, it hasnt been treated to a shiny coat of paint. The combination of green paint, chips and scratches, and bare steel gives it a look of great age, and if this one was out in a field with the weeds growing around it, it wouldnt look out of place. But that isnt to say that it looks bad, because we like the honest look and the faded graphics add to the well-worn, well-loved attitude. Looking closely, youll see that the paint hides nothing, but the panel gaps are good, meaning someone spent some time intentionally making it look this way, and nothing has been shaved, trimmed, or altered. Instead, you get a look that will draw a crowd better than any restoration and a no worries finish that means this truck can go anywhere, any time without a second thought. Yeah, maybe the chrome is a bit too nice, but one can hardly call that a defect, right? Theres also a real pickup bed out back, albeit with a cleverly raised floor to clear the suspension (more on that in a few minutes) and a beer keg strapped in to act as a fuel tank. They definitely nailed the look. The custom interior is all new and all amazing. No fake patina here, just funky patterns and upgraded features, plus a dash of style to make driving this 3100 a pleasure, not a chore. A bench seat wears fresh upholstery, with plain door panels to soften the passenger compartment a bit. Factory instruments are gone, replaced by neat-fitting Auto Meter gauges that look like they were born there, all framed by the steering wheel out of a later 50s Chevy passenger car. An AM/FM/CD stereo head unit lives in the top of the dash and comes with a remove, you know, in case reaching over there is just too inconvenient. Carpets on the floor help with noise and vibration, and while that shifter looks vintage, its a modern Lokar unit connected to a TH400 3-speed automatic. It looks like a small block, but its actually a 4.3 liter V6, which is actually of a 350 anyway. The added power makes this pickup more than just interesting to look at, and it makes enough torque to feel right in the vintage pickup. Fitted with an Edelbrock 4-barrel carb and a few vintage dress-up parts, it looks right under the hood; not too flashy, but just enough to let you know someone was paying attention. A big aluminum radiator keeps it cool and a set of long-tube headers dump into a custom dual exhaust system. The frame is from a late-model S10 pickup and its a surprisingly neat fit under the vintage 3100, and brings upgrades like an independent front suspension, power disc brakes, and power steering. Its got an awesome stance thanks to lowering springs and blocks, and those Painted steel wheels with simple hubcaps are the right old school look. Modern whitewall radials complete the vintage vibe. Cool hybrids like this 1959 Chevrolet Apache 4x4 make for ideal hobby vehicles. With a late-model chassis underneath and old-school looks on top, it does everything you want an old truck to do but with a lot fewer hassles. The fact that it looks like a million bucks and runs like the factory built it this way are merely icing on the cake. If you have a stepside Apache, youll probably be shocked to learn that its such a neat fit on an 80s K10 chassis, but heres the proof. At a glance, it looks like the factory built it, and thats purely intentional. They kept all the bodywork stock to give it that 1950s look, complete with the period-perfect paint job in battleship gray. The dramatically styled Apache pickups were some of the most handsome on the road back then and if you want attention, this truck will definitely deliver. The bodywork is nicely done, but not so perfect as to erase the fact that this is still a truck thats willing to work. Gaps are the way the factory would have done things and the paint has a shine thats better than anything available in 1959. The stepside bed gives it a muscular look and the especially with those oversized tires living in the fenders. Add in some brightly re-chromed bumpers, a factory grille, and a bed thats beautifully refinished with oak planks, and you get a truck that does everything extremely well. The interior is still basic, but the upgrades are visible throughout. The two-tone bench seat has pleated inserts to make it more comfortable on long hauls they worked hard to integrate the original controls with the modern chassis living underneath. The fat wood-rimmed wheel is easy to spot, but on the other hand, the original gauges remain fully functional monitoring the later engine. The original AM radio is gone, replaced by a digital AM/FM unit, and the 8-ball shift knob is linked to a 4-speed manual gearbox with a 2-speed transfer case behind it. Gray rubber mats help with the vintage pickup vibe and certainly sticks with the low-maintenance vibe. But thats the look and it works really well. The late-model chassis is from an 80s K10 pickup, and that included a great-running 350 cubic inch V8. Not dramatically modified, it sports a Holley 4-barrel carburetor on an aluminum intake manifold, but they were careful to keep it closer to its production roots rather than choosing a lot of modifications. Moroso valve covers and Chevy Orange paint brighten things up in a good way, and youll note theres a big aluminum radiator up front to keep things nice and cool. The late-model swap also includes power steering and power front disc brakes, both welcome safety upgrades. Newer shocks along with dual steering stabilizers tame the ride quality to make this truck a pleasure to drive and the polished aluminum wheels and big 33x12.50-15 Mickey Thompson off-road radials look exactly right when on a lifted truck as beautiful as this one. A cool old pickup with a bit of a modern flair makes for a very usable package. Drive it, show it, take it to work, theres nothing this truck doesnt do well. Chevys Advance Design pickups were not only the rugged workhorses that customers expected following World War II, but they were perhaps the first truly stylish trucks. The result was record-breaking sales to a public hungry for new sheetmetal, and today trucks like this 1948 Chevrolet 3100 remain highly-sought collectors items that work equally well with a few modifications. The gray paint makes this truck seem low-key, but its going to get a lot of attention nonetheless so you had better make sure its right. With so many of these being nothing more than working-class tools, its none too easy to find a clean one to restore, and to get one to this level takes a special level of commitment. Someone invested time and money in equally large portions to bring this one to its current spectacular condition, and it fits together better than any truck did in 1948. The five-window cab is the most desirable of the bunch, with cool quarter windows that not only improve visibility, but add a cool design element with the curved glass. Fit and finish are done to professional standards, so you can show it proudly at the local cruise night, where youll undoubtedly hear stories about the one that got away. From the outside, itll take a sharp eye to spot any modifications, and lots of glittering chrome that really dresses up the old pickup. The bed is beautifully finished oak with painted rub strips, and color-matched spray-on bedliner material protects the sides (as if youll ever use it as a truck!). The comfortable yet basic interior has been nicely restored but not excessively modified, adding function without losing all thats great about these trucks. The original bench seat is wrapped in comfortable gray vinyl and the exposed tubular frame gives it a function-over-form look that we love. The dashboard includes factory gauges that work with the warmed-over 350 cubic inch V8 under the hood, although they dont seem to be totally accurate. Theres a modern AM/FM radio in the dash, right where the original would have lived, so no cutting or modifying was required there. Even the original steering wheel was retained to preserve that old truck flavor. You can use this one every day and not get tired, which is surely the sign of quality workmanship. The engine is a 350 cubic inch V8 with a trick Tri-Power setup, because this truck was built for the road. Thats a vintage Offenhauser intake with three 2-barrel carburetors on top, all set up to work like the factory intended. Chevy Orange paint stands out against the satin black engine bay, and those trick valve covers are designed to look vintage, giving this Chevy the look of, say, a vintage J-2 Olds. The transmission is a TH350 3-speed automatic feeding the original rear end, so it doesnt lose its personality while gaining considerably more performance. Up front you get rack-and-pinion steering for the live axle, as well as a set of disc brakes for safety. Youll also get a lot of attention from the rumbling Flowmaster dual exhaust system that features a pair of chrome tips that peek out from under the rear bumper. It sits just right on a slightly lowered suspension, and with classic 15-inch steel wheels with baby moon hubcaps and trim rings, plus fat 235/70/15 rubber, it has a bit of a hot rod look. But if you buy from a dealer you will pay 6 or 7% sales tax because it is required at the dealer level. This saves you another $2,500 on the transaction, in the state of Georgia anyway. Also as I mentioned previously a GM positraction rear end. In 4th gear overdrive, at 70mph motor runs at 2500rpm, at 80mph runs at 2,900rpm.. With every increase of ten miles per hour rpm increases by 400. When you manually shift into third gear the rpm increases 400. I changed the break in oil at 11,500 and changed again at 12,000. Will need oil change at 15,000.INTERIOR; Very soft Vinyl seats, headliner, and door panels. Feel and look like leather but clean easy because of being vinyl. Cream color. Amazing interior work as you can see. Vintage air and heat that work perfectly in any weather conditions. Again looks like a factory installation using vents in dashboard. This is one of those builds where it is obvious that the best and most creative people in the business were involved in its creation. Common street rod practices have been executed flawlessly, and stunning custom fabrication is everywhere. It was a labor of love, but it took a bundle of money to turn that love into reality. For love, and significantly less money than it would take to recreate this truck, it could be yours. Subtle. Taking understatement to a new level. That is how this truck was described in Custom Classic Trucks magazine. Can you call red paint subtle? Somehow you can here, because its almost a maroon, and its not a metallic color. The endless curves of the body panels bend the light smoothly, and are matched up to their mates perfectly with tight, consistent gaps. The wonderful chrome grill of the 54 leads the way, with the bumper almost scraping the ground underneath it. The chrome is all new, as is the window glass, trim, and moldings. Custom touches include billet hardware with hidden latches instead of chains for the tailgate, and a fabricated panel to fill the gap between the bed and the bumper quite nicely. A tasteful painted pinstripe surrounds the Chevrolet embossed in the tailgate, and under that tailgate is a custom fabricated, stainless-steel, exhaust tip that blends with rear bumper perfectly. In the bed you will not only find superbly finished wood, but also a slick flip up gas door. If the outside of this truck took your breath away, take a couple deep ones before you take a look at what has been created inside in top grain leather and ostrich. Just opening the door will make you pause. The custom door panel treatment is quite a work of art with the shape of the ostrich insert mimicking the armrest. Ostrich inserts accent the leather seats too, and are matched by the color of the pinstriping on the custom center console. Billet is everywhere in this interior. It is Immediately obvious in the leather wrapped billet steering wheel, but is also evident in the pedal assembly, the overhead push button start, and the shifter. Dakota digital gauges grace the body colored dash panel in front of the driver. The ventilation controls reside in the center just under the Pioneer infotainment system, with Rockford Fosgate speakers front and rear completing an outstanding sound system. Now, pop the hood. Before you even take in all the details on the motor, you may notice that perfectly smooth, shaved firewall. There isnt a hole to be found in it and it shines as brightly as the rest of the trucks paint. A/C and heater hoses dive quickly through the fender well and run behind the firewall into the cabin to keep the look clean. Everything is polished on this engine with the ribbed air filter housing and valve covers featuring body color paint between the ribs. The Edelbrock carb and intake feeds a 350 V8 that exhales through shorty headers and Flowmaster mufflers out to that awesome exhaust tip. A March billet accessory frame mounts the chrome alternator and A/C compressor, and an aluminum radiator keeps everything running cool. Up front, a coil over suspension system with rack and pinion steering and big disc brakes make this truck drive like a dream. Power flows back through an automatic transmission, also painted to match the engine and body, to a leaf spring rear end also equipped with disc brakes. The technology in modern cars is amazing. They are faster, safer, and more comfortable than the old cars. Ahh, but the look of the old cars and trucks is awesome. Fortunately, there are people who enjoy, and are good at, bringing the two together in wonderful and creative ways. Like this 51 pickup for example. Check it out. The 3100 series pickups were the first series of redesigned Chevrolet trucks to go back into production after WWII. They were billed as longer, stronger and sleeker . Thats description seems quaint these days, but there is no doubt that their sleek lines look better than ever now. Use some of that modern technology to drop those lines down closer to the ground, coat them in a gorgeous shade of glossy Red paint, and tuck a set of Boyd Coddington alloy wheels under those distinctive fenders, and the truck definitely does look longer, stronger, and sleeker . Up front, the hood waterfalls down onto a double bar chrome grill that stretches from side to side underlined by a simple bumper that rides low to the ground. The split windshield reminds you what era this truck was born into as does the running boards between the fenders and the bed which is lined with wood, while discreet little touches like taillight built into the bed rails add to the custom look. Based on a Corvette block, it was built up using forged pistons, a double roller chain, and Melling oil pump with the rotating assembly all balanced before setting the 64cc World Products cylinder heads with 1.6:1 roller rockers on. It is topped by a chrome Edelbrock air cleaner and Holley 4-barrel carburetor feeding a Performer RPM intake manifold. Long tube headers lead back to cherry bomb style mufflers. Chrome valve covers embossed with Chevrolet in script and a bowtie along with a chromed alternator add their splash of flash to the engine bay and an aluminum radiator with an electric fan keeps everything running cool. Coil springs and control arms up front work with power steering to make this truck handle nicely and power front disc brakes provide good stopping ability. The rubber meets the road through 225/70R15 tires on those gorgeous Boyds alloy wheels. One of the best-looking classic pickups of all time with the best of modern tech.
