Someone forgot to remind this 1992 Chevrolet C1500 that its a pickup truck. Somewhere along the way, it received a heart transplant that includes a supercharged crate motor and an athletic suspension that makes it more muscle car than utilitarian hauler. Finished in burgundy paint, this truck would ordinarily keep a low profile. However, that all changed with the addition of a cowl-induction hood and a set of custom silver SS stripes and a set of flames on the hood, all of which transform this former work truck into something special. Workmanship is quite good, with a fantastic shine to the finish and great attention to detail that includes the stripes on the roof and hard shell tonneau cover, all of which line up beautifully from panel to panel. The grille was borrowed from a 95 model and the rear bumper was ditched in favor of a custom roll pan that fits like it was born there. Shaved emblems give it a clean look, although custom ZZ430 emblems are on the doors, but well get to that in a moment. With just a bit of rake, this slick pickup will make you forget about your chores and instead encourages you to head out and have some fun. The interior is very much standard Chevy pickup, but its not like thats a bad thing. With handsome burgundy fabric on a split bench seat, it is comfortable and attractive for long hauls and given its condition, it has always been well-maintained. Original carpets and door panels reinforce that fact and its loaded with options: A/C, power windows and locks, a tilt steering column, and a decent AM/FM/cassette stereo system that still sounds good. A full set of Dakota Digital gauges replace the original dials and when you turn the key and see the dash light up, its pretty darned cool. Tinted windows give it a sinister look, and its probably safe to call the enclosed bed a giant trunk. And yes, thats a bottle of unused nitrous there in the back. The original engine was yanked in favor of a small block built into a ZZ430. Displacing 350 cubic inches and using fast-burn heads, 4-bolt mains, and a performance roller cam, youd think most guys would be satisfied. Instead, the fellow who built this truck added a Vortech supercharger, which pushes pressurized air through a custom Quick Fuel 4-barrel carburetor for instantaneous throttle response. The engine bay, even with the big blower, looks quite stock, which is always the hallmark of careful workmanship: preserving the OEM look and feel without going crazy with the shiny stuff. Dual electric fans on the giant radiator keep it cool even under boost. The 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission is a great complement to the boosted engine, keeping it in the sweet spot and pegging full boost with a quick downshift and the rugged truck rear end wont complain about the torque. The suspension has been lowered 2.5 inches in front and three inches in back to level it out a bit and the exhaust system is a great-sounding Flowmaster setup fed by ceramic-coated long-tube headers. Pretty polished Torque Thrust wheels add a performance look and carry 255/50/17 BFGoodrich radials that fill the trucks big wheel arches perfectly. A very neat truck with lots of power on tap and the suspension to use it. Yeah, itll still haul, but it would rather be chasing Mustangs. Call today!
Its obvious that Chevy built the short bed pickups like this 1994 C1500 purely for style. Sure, its still truck rugged underneath, but on the outside its one of the best-looking half-tons ever built. And with a few subtle custom modifications like this one has received, they can be elevated to something truly special. This trucks sleek, monochromatic look comes from careful blending of the factory paint with careful aftermarket parts like the cowl-induction hood, hard-shell tonneau cover, and custom LED lighting. The finish work on the paint is pretty nice considering it was done a few years ago, especially given that this truck gets driven regularly, and the straight bodywork means it has always been someones special truck. The color isnt quite stock, and no factory paint ever had a glow like this, lit with an inner fire that is still low-key but draws you in once you notice it. The effect is really quite appealing. Theres also a custom hard-shell tonneau cover that creates the worlds largest trunk, which has been covered in a spray-on bedliner and a matching black carpet pad. Other neat touches include some chrome SS emblems, a custom 6.4 badge on the tailgate (more on that in a moment), and chrome door handles that add just a little bit of flash. The C/K pickups were fairly comfortable and car-like, and with a pair of low-back buckets, this one has a neat blend of sporty and comfortable. Flanking a center console, the seats have the feel of an upscale luxury car and the look of a sports car, all still in very good condition. The custom wood-rimmed steering wheel warms things up a bit and works with the wood trim that surrounds the factory dash. The original gauges have been replaced by custom units from Dakota Digital which look awesome at night and are likely more accurate than the factory stuff. The truck is outfitted with options like cold A/C, power windows and locks, and a tilt steering column, and the entertainment system has been upgraded to a Kenwood AM/FM/CD stereo head unit. Its still comfortable and easy to drive, just a bit more of what we expect from our vehicles today. Fully detailed, the engine bay is as much a show piece as functional machine. The 383 cubic inch stroker motor features a fresh 4-bolt main block with a1-piece rear seal, Eagle crank and rods, Keith black flat top pistons, and a Comp Cams hydraulic camshaft. Heads are Vortec Iron Quest units with 2.02 intake and 1.60 exhaust valves and 1.5 roller rockers. Up top theres a Holley carburetor, MSD ignition, and a few shiny pieces to dress things up. A serpentine drive system for the accessories keeps everything tucked in tightly to the block and theres a new aluminum radiator up front. Underneath youll find a built TH400 3-speed automatic transmission and factory rear end with reinforced cover, meaning that this truck can still work for a living. Long-tube headers feed a custom true dual exhaust system that was carefully designed to include both an X-pipe and a set of tailpipe poking out from under the rear bumper. Its been lowered 2.5 inches at all four corners for a wicked stance thats accentuated by those 15-inch wheels wearing 255/60/15 BFGoodrich performance radials. Still cool after all these years, GM has yet to top the slick C10s of the mid-90s. With this one, youll be the envy of every cruise night you attend. Call today!
Chevy has been making pickup trucks since the 30s and when you make a gazillion of them, well thats no small amount of practice. Made to withstand all the punishment that a commercial vehicle needs to tolerate, this 1989 Chevrolet Silverado pickup appears to have led a very pampered existence. There cant be many that are nicer, leading us to wonder if its time for the Silverado to become a genuine collector vehicle. With a great looks, V8 power, and remarkable originality, this great-looking survivor deserves your full attention. Red will always be in style, especially in a pickup truck, and we have to admit that it works especially well on the Chevy C/K series of trucks. Combined with the regular cab and short bed, the Silverado has a sporty demeanor and a great look. It remains in outstanding condition for being nearly 30 years old, and the shiny paint has weathered the years far better than most GM products of the era, needing nothing more than a coat of wax to really look great. There are no notable blemishes, no major road rash, just a few touch-ups here and there (check out how nice that bed looks!), and its clear that someone really cared for this truck. There was not much chrome fitted to these workhorses but what is there remains in pretty good condition, including both bumpers. And if youre actually going to put it to work, youll be happy to find a heavy-duty bed mat for protection. Slip inside and have a seat. A comfortable cloth bench seat from a later truck makes this a first-class way to haul your gear and the red cloth upholstery looks immaculately maintained. Because this is a Silverado it is optioned with all the creature comforts, including air conditioning which still blows ice cold, plus an aftermarket AM/FM/CD stereo, cruise control, power windows, power locks, and a tilt wheel are all at your fingertips, further blurring the line between blue and white collar transportation. And we havent forgotten that this is a truck with a half- ton load capacity and so power steering and power brakes make it all manageable. The dash pad isnt even cracked and the sliding rear window provides a comfortable breeze for those days when A/C isnt needed. Given the condition of the interior, theres just no question the mileage shown is original. Open the hood and inspect the nicely detailed engine bay. This Silverado is equipped with the 350 cubic inch V8 that has been fitted to everything from Camaros to, well, pickup trucks. Theres more than enough power available if you choose to leave the motor bone stock like this one, which looks like it just rolled out of the showroom and still runs superbly. Its shockingly clean in there and maybe that chrome air cleaner adds a little sparkle. The 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission is also performing without complaint and there isnt a better transmission available to mate to the 350; after all, fuel mileage matters these days. Also take a look at the super clean undercarriage, where youll find no secrets, thanks to a lifetime in a warm climate, and again, it suggests that this truck has led a very good life. Polished Torque Thrust wheels add some flash to the bright red pickup, endowing it with a sporty demeanor and it carries recent blackwall radials all around. This is a great-looking truck today, and if these become collectable in the future, were pretty sure these handsome bed trucks will be first on the list. Call today!
Here is a really nice and real clean 1991 Chevy 1500 SWB truck. This truck is showing 201,898 but previous owner put a new engine in this truck at 187,810 so engine only has 14,000 miles on it. It runs and drives great. The overdrive transmission shifts smooth like it should. The paint looks good and the body is straight. There are no dings or rust bubbles. This truck has always been in Georgia. The interior is really nice and clean with no blemishes on seat. The headliner, carpet and door panels all look good. It has power windows and locks that work. Everything on the truck works including all the gauges and lights. It still has the factory stereo. According to Carfax it was involved in a minor accident back in 1996 but looking at it today there are no signs of an accident. The truck is the original color of blue. It has a bedliner to protect the bed as well as a tool box. The underside of truck is solid with no rust issues. These 1988 to early nineties truck are really holding their value good and are becoming more popular. This truck I would drive anywhere.
1989 Chevy 2WD 5.7L Silverado 1500 PickupI purchased this truck from my next door neighbor. This truck belonged to their grandfather, who had passed away. From documents found in the vehicle, it appears that it has spent its life in North GA and East TN. A look underneath the truck shows little rust and that is characteristic of vehicles from this area. The truck runs and drives good. The tires are approx. 80% tread life remaining. The wheels are in very good condition with very few blemishes, even upon close inspection. The overall handling of the truck feels tight and original. The paint looks ok from a few feet away, but it is fairly dull. This truck is NOT an SS as the decals indicate. It is a stock Silverado 1500 that has SS decals on it. The motor starts and runs well. The heat and the A/C work. I had the A/C changed from the original R12 to the new R134 and installed new accumulator/drier and new orifice tube, so the air runs nice and cold. The radio will not come on at all. The fuel gauge, temperature gauge, and battery gauge, all seem to work perfectly, although the oil pressure gauge seems to run too high. I have been told that this is fairly common to this vintage. The speedometer does not work. All of the electronic controls on the heat and air work well. The electric windows work, but the power locks do not. The truck has new door handles and can be manually locked. The truck seat has a nice seat cover on it and the original seat underneath has a tear on the driver’s side from wear. The truck has had a sunroof installed that is not original to the truck. The turn signal lenses and brake light lenses are all new. The rear bumper has been removed and rolled, and when viewed underneath, the metal work and welding all appears to have been done pretty well. The interior of the bed is in good shape with only a few blemishes. The tonneau cover is new. The truck feels dependable and I drive it to and from work on nice days. The last of the '67 Ford Shelby GT500 EXP notchback coupes known as "Little Red" is set for restoration
Factory performance trucks werent really a thing until this one came along. It wasnt hard to do. Drop a motor with monster amounts of torque into the smallest, lightest, full-sized pickup you have, beef up the suspension and drivetrain a bit so it handled more like a sportscar than a pickup, and voila! Tire smoking factory fun. This one has led a sheltered life, venturing out for less than 11,000 miles over the last almost 30 years. Check out this ground breaking time capsule of a truck. The design team at Chevy made the choice to keep the look of this truck clean and simple, although maybe menacing would be a better description with its Black Onyx paint. Also lending to the intimidation factor is an SS designation that appeared for the first time ever on a pickup. Although this brute could obviously be used as a work truck, it was not. It appears to have spent its life indoors or at least under cover because the factory original paint is in excellent shape. A black grill underlined by a black bumper adds to the subtle, understated look with just a red bowtie in the center and a set of fog lights mounted down low in the chin spoiler. The window trim is blacked out as are the side mirrors. 454 SS appears on the sides of the bed and Chevrolet in script with another bowtie is lettered on the tailgate. The bed itself is nicely dressed out in diamond plate along with a rubber mat. Open the door and you will find a Garnet Red cloth interior which, as you would expect with such low mileage, has little to no wear on anything and it is all completely stock. Diamond plate protects the door sills and the whole interior looks showroom fresh from top to bottom. The door panel has a nice armrest with the power window and lock switches at your fingertips. Have a seat in the high back reclining buckets. They are both super comfortable for cruising and also have nice side bolsters to offer support if you decide to cut this truck loose and have some fun. The 4-spoke steering wheel is mounted on a tilt column along with the cruise control stalk and the shifter for the automatic transmission. The dash and gauges are spotless and the FM/cassette deck has a built-in equalizer. Red vinyl floormats protect the carpets and there is a big center console with cup holders between the seats. Pop the hood and you will find that torquey big-block 454 motor nestled down in a neat and clean engine bay. It is all completely stock and is the original, numbers matching engine. There is nothing flashy about this engine. No chrome, no aftermarket dress-up pieces. Just tons of torque to get the job done. A dual exhaust system winds its way back and ends with dual chrome exhaust tips that peek out from under the back bumper. Power is sent back through a Turbo Hydra-Matic 400 3-speed transmission to a heavy-duty rear end which was outfitted with 3.73 gears and had semi-floating axles to transmit all that power effectively. The factory also upgraded the suspension with Bilstein gas shocks and a beefy sway bar up front that really help this truck handle well. The rubber meets the road through polished factory 5-lug wheels which look great and mount 275/60R15 BFGoodrich Comp T/A radials. This is an opportunity to own a super low mileage, time capsule truck, and the first one to ever wear an SS badge. Come on down, check it out, and drive it on home.
The ad copy for this truck when it was introduced said Its got a mean streak . With the power of Chevys infamous 454 under the hood, and the fact that it only turns the rear wheels, this truck is certainly capable of leaving a couple other streaks too. Fast, comfortable, and practical to boot. What more could you ask for? Check it out. Trucks have come a long way from their roots as basic work vehicles. They are frequently used as daily drivers, and not only because people need them to get to work. Sometimes its because people like sitting up higher, being able to see traffic better, and feel safer in a larger vehicle. This SS is a prime example of all that. Plus, its just a good-looking truck. It is coated in glossy Black paint with body colored bumpers with an eggcrate grill, also in Black with a red Chevy bowtie in the center. There is a 454 SS front tag in the center flanked by factory fog lights below it. The headlights, fog lights and marker lights have all been upgraded to LEDs. The body side molding on the door has another bowtie and 1500 in red, and 454 SS appears again on the rear fenders. There is a rubber mat protecting the bed and if you lift it up, you will see that it has done its job protecting it very well. The Red cloth interior of this truck looks great and cradles its driver and passengers in the lap of luxury. The door panels have long, comfortable armrests and the switches for the power windows and locks are right at your fingertips. The high back bucket seats have pleated seating surfaces with smooth side bolsters and fold down armrests. Super comfortable for cross town errands or long-distance traveling. The huge center console with cup holders is also quite convenient. A 4-spoke steering wheel is mounted on a tilt column with the shifter for the automatic transmission and cruise control stalk within easy reach. Behind them is a stock dashboard with the engine gauges in a line across the top just over the speedometer and tach. There is an FM/Cassette stereo for your listening pleasure and the ventilation controls include those for air conditioning to keep you cool on those hot summer days. Pop the hood and you will find Chevys torquey 454 cubic inch big block motor nestled down in a neat and clean engine bay. It is all stock and original with a glossy black air cleaner and fuel injection. Finned black and silver valve covers look great and have 454 badging. This truck has obviously been well maintained and you can see the new serpentine belt as well as newer hoses, cap and wires as well as a new Optima battery. There is an LED light under the hood too which is nice for keeping good tabs on things even at night, and the power this engine makes flows out through a 4-speed automatic transmission to the rear wheels. Power front disc brakes with anti-lock action on the rear brakes assure that you can get this truck stopped in a hurry regardless of whether you are carrying a load or not. The rubber meets the road through 275/60R15 tires mounted on 5-lug polished wheels with Chevy center caps. Good looking, well cared for, comfortable, and capable of making some mean streaks. Come on down and check this truck out.
Clean and Mean. Thats what this truck is. While the clean body lines of a regular 89 Silverado look good, it takes a lot of time and money to make them look this good. And the best part is, the body is just the beginning. The interior saw its share of customizing too and the engine has the mean part covered quite effectively. Check it out. Not sure what you will notice first from a distance. It will either be that its lower, or its higher. The whole truck sits lower and has an aggressive stance with big staggered wheels tucked up into those fender wells. But that cowl induction hood is definitely higher than it was to start with, kind of like they lowered the rest of the truck around it by 3 inches. Either way you look at it, it looks sweet in its custom Black paint with a Blue and Silver pin stripe painted and clear coated on along the top edge of the body line. Up front a custom chrome grill and bumper lead the way with a blue Chevy bowtie in the center, followed by door handles that were shaved to keep the look spotlessly clean and a tailgate that received a shave too, moving the gate latch to the inside of the bed, replacing it with a gold bowtie, and flanking it with Cadillac taillights. Open the door and you will find that plenty of time was invested into customizing the interior too. The door panel sets the tone in Gray with its pleated center panel and billet door pull surrounded by smooth vinyl with horizontal accent lines top and bottom. The comfortable bucket seats get the same treatment with a console mounted in the middle. There is plenty of billet in the dash starting with the steering wheel mounted on a tilt column which sits in front of a shaved dash with billet vents directing the air flow for the heat and A/C. A tall Lokar shifter rises out of the floor and the passenger side of the dash has Chevrolet in script riveted on. The power window switches are uniquely mounted on the ceiling and there is a hidden FM/CD and iPod compatible stereo that pumps the sound out through dual Rockford Fosgate amps with subs and Infinity speakers for your listening pleasure. Pop the hood and the show continues. There you will find a 5.3 liter V8 nestled down in a neat and clean engine bay. The bright red MSD Airflow intake jumps right out at you and is complemented by polished coil packs as well as A/C compressor and receiver dryer. Everything is connected with a Painless Wiring harness kit and a Trailblazer SS ECU with a Vengence racing program calls the shots while an aluminum radiator keeps things running cool. Hedman ceramic coated headers weave their way out the bottom to a 2.5 stainless exhaust and a new master cylinder and booster puts the clamps on drilled and slotted front rotors. Power flows back through a 4-speed automatic transmission and a BellTech suspension system lowers the truck down making it handle like a dream. The rubber meets the road through 275/55R20s in the rear and 235/60 R18s in the front mounted on those sweet looking REV chrome wheels. Think this truck is pretty awesome? So did the judges at the 2016 LSFest who voted it Best Muscle Truck. Come on down and check it out for yourself. You might decide that its the best muscle truck for you and take it home.

Why This Car Is Special This truck is special from every angle you look, and mechanically it is very special. Lets dive in and explore why! Mechanical 1989 Chevrolet Silverados werent known for their incredible power. This truck changes that with a built 468 CID V8 with more bolt on power adders than you can count. Full length Hooker headers running to dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers that exit through the sides of the bed let onlookers know this truck is far from stock. An aluminum air gap intake is topped with a Holley 4-barrel carburetor with a clear air cleaner for a cool custom touch. Nitrous, Line Lock, electric fans, electric fuel pump, and a B&M shifter make this truck feel more like a race car, but it is very streetable. Power steering, power brakes and A/C make this truck as comfortable as your daily driver. A Turbo 400 automatic transmission handles the shifting and runs to a built 10-bolt rear end with big meats in the back on 5-star aluminum wheels to make sure every bit of the power gets to the ground. Interior The interior is a nice blend of stock 1989 Chevy and custom features. The high back bucket seats and custom center console are a nice addition. The shifter has been moved from the column to a B&M unit on the console. The headliner is aftermarket with a CD player and speakers that gives the inside a very clean look. The dash retains the factory gauge cluster but the addition of several switches and gauges bring you right back to reality. There are switches for the fans, fuel pump, line lock, nitrous, additional lights and more. The gauges consist of a large dash mounted AutoGage tachometer and 3 gauges on the A-pillar to let you monitor temperature, oil pressure and amperage. A Budnik aluminum steering wheel has been added to finish off the interior with a subtle custom touch. Exterior This short bed regular cab Silverado was the perfect starting place for this build. It has a great look when stock, and this one was taken over the top. The tailgate handle was moved to inside and a tonneau cover was added to give a nice finished look. A cowl hood was bolted on and a Candy Apple Green paint job with silver stripes was professionally sprayed over the body. The paint is a mile deep and competes with anything we have in our showroom. The rear bumper was replaced with a roll pan with Corvette taillights and a license plate mount. The front bumper was smoothed and painted and a front valance with fog lights was added to give the front end a more aggressive look. All of the lights are clear lenses with LED lights up front and a billet grill with SS badging ties it all together. Lastly, the windows were tinted because, lets face it, this truck wouldnt look right with clear glass. Conclusion This custom Silverado is ready to show, cruise or use as your driver on nice days. It has a lot of time and money invested and is an out of the box show winner. You couldnt build this truck for anywhere near the asking price. So, please call or text at 734-323-9260 or 727-688-1148. This 1990 Chevrolet 454SS pick up is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. Chevy released the 454SS in 1990 as a modern muscle truck. They were an instant success with over 13000 units sold. The engine was of course the big draw with the big block producing 230 HP but a tire shredding 385 lb.-ft of torque. This black beauty is an original 454 SS that has been well taken care of. The original engine is still in place with a receipt showing the rebuild. The TH400 was rebuilt at the same time and shifts out just like it should. The Rear-end on the truck is still the 14 Bolt with the 5-lug bolt pattern. The Black paint is slick and shows extremely well with the addition of a custom roll pan which really helped to clean up the lines outback. Inside the cab you will notice a 60/40 bench seat that is extremely comfortable. Look up and you will notice the center overhead console which has been added giving the truck some more storage space. These trucks have seen a resurgence in the classic car market making this good-looking SS a great buy Options for this 1990 Chevrolet 454 SS Pickup Truck include AC, AM/FM/CD, power brakes, power steering, power locks, power windows, tilt wheel, seat belts, cloth interior, radial tire with polished aluminum wheels.
