Wagons remain red-hot in the marketplace, and what could be cooler than hauling your gear around in this sweet 1956 Chevrolet 210 Handyman wagon? Classic looks and modern amenities make it easy to love, and its even rarer than a Nomad these days so youll never see another one at a show. Traditional 50s colors work just as well on a station wagon as they do on a flashy Bel Air convertible, and the Sierra Gold and India Ivory combination here gives the wagon a 50s look that disguises the modern upgrades underneath. The restoration is a few years old and shows a few signs of use, but the impact a car like this makes everywhere it goes is tough to ignore. The good news is that all the sheetmetal is in excellent shape with factory-grade gaps and that solid feeling only old cars seem to offer. The bad news is... well, there is no bad news other than to say this car works so well its been driven a bit since it was finished, so its not a show car anymore. Nevertheless, the chrome and stainless trim is very good, particularly the pieces that separate the two colors on the quarter panels, and its been fitted with new glass and weather seals so it feels tight and quiet on the road. The all-new interior is beautifully designed and comfortable for long hauls, yet the dash keeps it looking like 1956. The important stuff is entirely new, including the Auto Meter gauges, door panels, and the gorgeous two-tone seat covers. Beyond that, however, youll find aftermarket air conditioning neatly stashed under the dash, a polished tilt steering column, and youll note the shifter manages a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission. A modern AM/FM/CD stereo uses speakers stashed throughout the interior, and liberal use of sound insulation gives the wagon a solid, quiet feel. The back seat is actually usable even with the 2-door design and the wonderful copper cargo bay is massive and expands exponentially with the fold-down rear seats. If you like your hot rods practical, this one delivers! With this 210, you also get a strong-running 350 cubic inch V8 engine, which, of course, drops right into the Chevys engine bay. Its a little different than the original version, sporting a chrome air cleaner and a big Exelbrock 4-barrel carburetor, Vortec heads, and a polished intake manifold up top and some polished aluminum valve covers with engraved Chevrolet emblems on their faces. Theres also a big aluminum radiator and the A/C compressor, so theres no hiding the fact that this is a resto-mod built to drive. The 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission feeds the original rear end hanging on original leaf springs. Power front disc brakes, a custom dual exhaust system, and a slightly lowered suspension are welcome additions that give it a hot rod attitude and easy road manners. The undercarriage is pretty clean, but its built right so you shouldnt be afraid to drive this one. Staggered 17- and 18-inch wheels look awesome and carry 235/45/17 front and 235/50/18 rear Firestone radials. Beautifully built, easy to drive, and just drop-dead gorgeous, this clean, ready to enjoy 210 wagon proves that practical can also be very cool. Call today!
How easy is it to own a eyeball-grabbing hot rod? Buy this 1955 Chevrolet 210 2-door post sedan! Built a few years ago and with a long list of upgrades on its resume, its an easy-going street machine thats clearly built to cruise. Reliable, well-sorted, and very attractive, this is the car theyre talking about when they say you couldnt possibly duplicate it for the price. With a history like this one, you already know its a nice car. Its also vivid in bright blue, which means they had to spend a ton of time on it, making sure everything was flat and straight, that panels lined up just right, and all the other little things that go into making a show car. No short cuts, no botched workmanship, this car has already been scrutinized and found worthy, so its ready to rock with a new owner. Sure, its been driven a bit in the last 20 years or so, but that does nothing to diminish the quality of the work and it seems to defy the years; I mean, just look at the reflections in the quarter panels! All the chrome and trim, and yes, theres quite a bit of it, is in good condition and all of it remains in place, from the beautiful front bumper with a pair of accessory bumper guards to the 1-piece California rear bumper. The two-tone tweed interior has a wonderful, inviting look. Yes, its beautifully stitched and doesnt go to any extremes to make a point, but the quality materials with a bit of age on them seem to beckon you to climb inside. For example, the front seat is original and uses a factory-style pattern, but the updated materials give it an entirely new look. The original dash sparkles with a polished billet insert running its width and a full set of trick digital gauges from Dakota Digital. A painted tilt column and custom steering wheel are the most obvious mods, but theres also A/C, an AM/FM stereo system, and a 4-speed shifter on the floor (check out the custom seat notch!). Open the trunk and youll find a matching storage compartment that shows someone went the extra mile with this Chevy. You already know this car is a runner, and thanks to the 350 cubic inch V8 under the hood, it should continue to do so for years to come. A few dress-up parts like the Edelbrock air cleaner and chrome valve covers make it look great, but the hardware is first rate and built to drive. Upgrades include an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and intake manifold, power disc brakes with a dual reservoir master cylinder, and a big radiator with a pair of electric fans to keep things cool. Its backed by the aforementioned 4-speed manual transmission and stock rear end, so it just burbles along on the highway without taking the edge off acceleration. A rebuilt suspension, new brake and fuel lines, and a rumbling dual exhaust provide a great driving experience, and with those traditional Torque Thrust wheels and 215/65/15 BFGoodrich T/A radials, it definitely has the right look. A very handsome and nicely built 210 that is idea for cruise nights and the Long Haul Gang on next years Power Tour, this 55 easily demonstrates how to do it right. Call today!
Sometimes all you want is a simple car with a V8 and timeless good looks, and a few creature comforts never hurt. This 1955 Chevy 210 2-door sedan is a no-nonsense shoebox Chevy that runs and drives and great as it looks, and offers all the right upgrades to make it a fantastic cruiser thats still happy to hit the shows. Thanks to a fairly complete renovation a few years ago, this great-looking Chevy has that classic look that never seems to go out of style. Judging by how quickly cars like this sell, we know you guys love the look and its the kind of car youd build yourself, preserving the integrity of the original while adding a dose of horsepower that makes it a blast to drive. Two-tone blue paint scheme isnt on the GM books but it looks period-perfect on the simple, clean lines of the 55 Chevy, and they added a hint of metallic so it has a custom look that really works. They also resisted the urge to make radical modifications to the body, because, honestly, do you really think you could improve on this? Thankfully, all the original trim is intact, with the 210 offering a less ornate look right out of the box and which works extremely well with the mild makeover this car received. All the trim was restored at the same time, and it includes clean 1-piece bumpers that give it a smooth look as well as a set of optional (and rare) bumper guards that really change the look. The interior is a matching two-tone blue setup thats a lot more subtle than the original upholstery but keeps a period-correct vibe. Matching door panels are beautifully crafted and all the original hardware is intact, including handles and garnish moldings. Even the original dash and instrument panel are in place, fully restored, with auxiliary gauges neatly installed in the dash like they belong there. Upgrades include under-dash air conditioning that uses the original controls, an AM/FM/CD stereo, and an upgraded tilt steering column with a GM comfort grip wheel. The very trunk is finished to match, complete with blue carpets that tie in neatly with the rest of the interior when viewed from behind. The great thing about the small block Chevys longevity is that you can drop a modern crate motor under the hood of a vintage shoebox and it fits perfectly. Thanks to that smooth-running 350 cubic inch V8, this car cruises effortlessly at modern speeds, starts easily, and parts are plentiful just about anywhere in the country, so long trips are worry-free affairs. Theres a mild cam inside, an Edelbrock carburetor, MSD ignition, and a Summit intake manifold to make it run right. Finned valve covers and an open-element air cleaner dress it up, along with a shiny chrome accessories and Chevy Orange paint. A giant aluminum radiator keeps it cool under the harshest conditions, and with long-tube headers and a recent dual exhaust system, it has an authoritative rumble to it. A 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission powers the original rear end, so its fantastic on the highway and front disc brakes were added for safety. The front suspension was recently rebuilt so it tracks straight and proves you dont need a modern suspension to have decent ride and handling. 18-inch wheels give the car a hot-rod look and wear 235/40/18 performance radials that give it the perfect stance. Classic good looks, plenty of power, and enough custom touches to make people look twice, this 55 Chevy is a great way to travel. Call today!

This 210 is a member of the coveted Tri-five series of Chevys from 1955, 56 and 57. It is last year of production for these models which has several features that make them especially desirable like large tailfins and a twin rocket hood design. But instead of bringing back memories of 1957, this car may actually bring you back to the early 60s instead. Because instead of being an over the top restored show car, this one is more like what families would have owned and been driving in the 60s. Check it out. The Tri-five style is all there! There are twin rockets on the hood and they are just too cool for school! Dressed in a beautiful shade of Red, that big ol hood bends down between headlights perched way out front on the fenders and shrouded with chrome. There is a ton of chrome in the grill with a red, white and blue Chevy bowtie badge in the center. The front end of a car doesnt get any better than that! There is a bold line of chrome running down the side of the car that splits on the rear fender to create a wedge painted in white that mirrors the shape of the tailfins. Even more chrome dresses out the rocker panels while the back bumper joins the chrome of the tailfins to underline the trunk with a clean line and fancy taillight treatment. Keystone wheels complete the look quite nicely and you are sure to attract quite a bit of attention when you drive this car. Open the door and you will find a neat and clean Black interior that is extremely roomy and comfortable. This was one of the reasons these cars were so popular. You could load up with a pile of friends or family, pack the trunk full of coolers, lawn chairs or luggage and head out in style and comfort. The door panel is good looking yet simple with vertical pleats with a slash of chrome cutting below the crank for the old vent windows adding some interest. The big bench seats get the same treatment and there is a two-spoke steering wheel with a full circle chrome horn ring with a center button that has a red, white and blue bowtie and Two Ten in script. Sweet! The dash is pretty simple in black and chrome with the speedometer in the center flanked by smaller gauges. Auxiliary gauges have been added to keep accurate track of engine functions and a CB radio is mounted under the dash on the right. Open the hood and you will find a small block engine that is a descendent of the ones introduced in these Tri-fives. You may have noticed the badge on the front fenders that pays homage to the particularly potent version that was introduced in 1957 with Rochester Ram-Jet fuel injection. The one in this car is a tried and true 350 cubic inch motor with a single carb. A little bit of love could clean things up nicely with some elbow grease to polish up those nice Edelbrock finned valve covers and chrome accessories. Power flows back through a modern 4-speed manual transmission which is another upgrade that compliments the engine nicely. The rubber meets the road through 215/70R14 tires mounted on those great looking Keystone wheels. Come on down and check out this last year model of the Tri-five legacy. You might decide that it is just the car you have been looking for.
This car can be described in three words. Attention to detail. It applies to the work on the body and paint as well as the interior, but where it carries the most weight is in the documentation of the engine work. And when the pressure is on with a car like this, thats where it matters most. There are 14 pages of build and maintenance receipts, and tech types will be in paradise reading it. If youre not a techie, you can at least appreciate that the guys that built this think definitely knew what they were doing and did it right. Check it out. Starting with that body and paint work, its gorgeous! Details like shaved door handles and taking all the badges off the car let the beautiful lines of this classic 55 stand for themselves without distractions. Well, except for that big one poking up through the hood. But thats what this car is all about, so its not a distraction, its a statement. You may also notice the serious rake to the chassis of this car and the beefy rear tires which put an exclamation point on that statement. The front end is right in character for this 55 with a pair of headlights perched high on the fenders and an eggcrate grill trimmed in chrome which is underlined by a big wraparound chrome bumper. There is a slash of chrome down the side and a bit more on the taillights and back bumper. A custom airbrushed Rat Fink mural appears on the trunk lid in period correct fashion and Billet specialty wheels complete the look. Open the door with the poppers and you will find a custom Black leather interior with plenty of attention to detail. The door panel has brushed metal diagonal accents and red stitching dressing out the armrest. The high back bucket seats are trimmed in black and gray with red stitching, and offer plenty of support for spirited driving. The white Hurst shifter for the manual transmission rises from the floor within easy reach for quick shifts under pressure. The custom billet steering wheel looks awesome and sits on a tilt column making for easy entry and exit as well as comfortable positioning. The custom dash includes a Classic Instruments gauge pack in the stock location while the glove box has been nicely deleted on the passenger side. The lower dash in black and red holds a boost gauge as well as a Sony head unit for your listening pleasure, that is if youre not listening to the engine sing at the top of its lungs. About that engine. We will cover the basics here, but please ask your salesmen about the engine documentation in order to be truly impressed. It is a 400 cubic inch powerhouse of a V8 that is blown by an SBC 8-71 supercharger and is set up for nitrous too. There are dual 4-barrel carburetors feeding it with a Weiand intake distributing it, and an MSD 6AL-2 programable ignition firing it. Spent gasses are sent back through the headers and a 3 stainless exhaust. The internal parts have all been blueprinted and balanced and assembled by a professional. That 5-speed transmission gets the power headed back to Richmond 3.55 gear set with 31 spline Moser axles with a Pro-street coil over set up making sure the power gets to the ground effectively. The front end has a Maval power steering set up working through control arms and coil springs. Front disc brakes provide the whoa power to haul all this go power back down from speed. This is an awesome 55 Rat Rod. If you have ever had a mind to own a car like this, then you owe it to yourself to come down and check it out. There is so much more to it than can be covered here.

Iconic on the outside, custom on the inside, and a powerful V8 under the hood you might have already fallen in love at first sight with this 1957 Chevrolet 210 post coupe, but it only gets better the deeper you dig. The exterior is that perfect blend of vintage and upgraded. After all, there is arguably no better recognized shape than the Tri-Five Chevys, but you can also instantly tell this one is extra special. The body panels have the kind of straightness that only comes from taking real time and huge money to get right. And this investment pays off when its the canvas for an artfully slick application of a modern burnt orange. The 210s from this year had almost as much trim as the Bel Airs, so it wasnt hard to finish the job of looking like one with acres of chrome and stainless that have a mirror-like quality. This includes the wide grille and bumper package with Dagmars as large as the headlights, dual jet-inspired hood ornaments, and the full-length body trim that ends in the hallmark bright tailfin inserts. But as much as we love those iconic pieces, the tinted windows, sport mirrors, and the those bright RT5 wheels also let you know there is modern performance beneath the vintage skin. The moment you open the door, the two-tone interior will make you (and everyone else) instantly realize there has been a serious investment in customization. It starts with the modern bucket seats. They are power adjustable and have the kind of bolstering to give you an individual level of comfort that they could have never provided in 57. Plus, the cream leather with ostrich insert is a true masters touch. The color on the seats are the perfect complement to the custom door panels, as well as matching carpet, headliner, and center console its truly a thoughtful and uniform build! And speaking of the center console, take a look at the thoughtful features that have been fully integrated. This includes cup holders front & rear, power windows, and a modern AM/FM/CD stereo with everything from satellite radio to Bluetooth. Theres even modern R134a air conditioning to keep you feeling as cool as you look in this 57 Chevy. Plus, with the upgraded steering wheel (with matching ostrich grip), Lokar shifter, and well-integrated full gauge package, you know this is a custom that was meant to be driven. The first Tri-Five Chevys were the dawn of the small block, but they were never given anything as powerful, or as turn-key as this. Its an LT1 V8 out of a C4 Corvette, another great Chevrolet icon. And take a few moments to appreciate how much gloss and shine is in that ultra-smooth engine bay (we dare you to find another component that can be polished!) So its no wonder this total package is already a multiple award-winner. But more than just an amazing presentation, as you dig deeper, you see features like the large aluminum radiator w/electric fans, upgraded pulleys, fuel injection that help make this is a more useful driving machine. The same goes for the power steering and 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive. And as you look underneath, you will not only see that this is fully painted, but also it has been upgraded with a tubular A-arm front suspension, sway bars front & rear, and four-wheel disc brakes. So youre looking at the iconic classic thats easy enough to drive on the morning commute. Heres the hit of every cruise-in thats also reliable enough to take on the Power Tour. Its the kind of 57 Chevy that youve always wanted, and if youre quick enough, your reward is ready to come home. Call today!!!

For sale in our Dallas/Ft.Worth Showroom is a tan 1953 Chevrolet 210 2-Door Sedan. The 210 was a mid-range model for Chevrolet, positioned between the base 150 and the premium Bel Air. The 210 replaced the Styleline Deluxe model and was produced from 1953 to 1957. It was then replaced by the Biscayne for the 1958 model year. The 210 offered the broadest choice of body styles, which included a convertible, Sport Coupe, hardtop, 2 and 4 door sedans, and 4 door station wagons. The 210 was available with the same options as the Bel Air that were not available on the 150, including seat adjusters, power windows, and a Powerglide automatic transmission. It was also less expensive than the glamorous Bel Air, which is why it was the best-selling model for Chevrolet in 1953 and 1954. This particular 210 is powered by a 235 CID Inline 6 cylinder that is mated to a Powerglide automatic transmission. The tan exterior paint shows well and is accented nicely by all the chrome trim and chrome wheels. The wheels do provide a nice modern touch on this otherwise stock Chevrolet. The tan cloth upholstery has been redone, it is very clean, and shows minimal signs of wear and age. The dark brown dash is a wonderful accent color to the rest of the interior. The odometer reads 60,476, but the actual mileage is unknown.
