Sometimes all you want is a simple car with a V8 and timeless good looks, and a few creature comforts never hurt. This 1955 Chevrolet 210 2-door sedan is a no-nonsense shoebox Chevy that runs and drives and great as it looks, and offers all the right upgrades to make it a fantastic cruiser thats still happy to hit the shows. Thanks to a fairly complete renovation two years ago, this great-looking Chevy has that classic look that never seems to go out of style. Judging by how quickly cars like this sell, we know you guys love the look and its the kind of car youd build yourself, preserving the integrity of the original while adding a dose of horsepower that makes it a blast to drive. The classic black paint job looks period-perfect on the simple, clean lines of the 55 Chevy, and they laid off the metallic and pearls so it has a very honest look thats straight out of the 50s. They also resisted the urge to make radical modifications to the body, because, honestly, do you really think you could improve on this? Thankfully, all the original trim is intact, with the 210 offering a less ornate look right out of the box and which works extremely well with the mild makeover this car received. All the trim was restored at the same time, and it includes clean 1-piece bumpers that give it a smooth look thats not at all obvious. This 150 looks fantastic, ready to show or go. The interior is a matching two-tone black and white Del Ray setup thats a lot flashier than the original upholstery but keeps a period-correct vibe. Matching side panels are beautifully crafted and all the original hardware is intact, including door handles and garnish moldings. Even the original dash and instrument panel are in place, although the gauges are modern Dakota Digital units that fit neatly in the original pod. Upgrades include under-dash air conditioning that uses the original controls, very trick custom stereo that looks like the original AM unit, and a 4-speed manual gearbox with a long-handled Hurst shifter on the floor that purposely curves over the seat for added comfort. All the rubber, window felts, and glass are new and the interior has been extensively soundproofed so it remains comfortable no matter what. The trunk is outfitted like a stocker, right down to a rubber mat and factory jack assembly. The great thing about the small block Chevys longevity is that you can drop a modern motor under the hood of a vintage shoebox and it fits perfectly. Thanks to that smooth-running 355 cubic inch V8, this car cruises effortlessly at modern speeds, starts easily, and parts are plentiful just about anywhere in the country, so long trips are worry-free affairs. With 10.71:1 compression, its happy on pump gas and an electronic ignition system fires it instantly. Painted valve covers and a 50s Cadillac air cleaner dress it up, along with a shiny new 12-volt alternator and A/C compressor. A stock-looking radiator keeps it cool under the harshest conditions, and with a recent dual exhaust system, it has an authoritative rumble to it. The chassis is detailed and still pretty much the way the factory intended, although disc brakes have been installed up front. The front suspension was recently rebuilt so it tracks straight and proves you dont need a modern suspension to have decent ride and handling. 3.08 gears out back mean its a fantastic highway cruiser and 15-inch Rally wheels with stock-style dog dish hubcaps give the car a hot-rod look and wear simple blackwall radials. Classic good looks, plenty of power, and enough custom touches to make people look twice, this 55 Chevy is a great way to travel. Call today!... Read more

All the lights work as they should even the dash lights behind the gauges work. The floor pans are solid but there is some rust in the inner rockers but not that bad. The underside could use a good detailing or undercoating. The back tailgate opens as well as the back glass. Windows roll up and down good. Just an overall nice and very sharp Chevy Wagon. Chevrolet production of the 150 Station Wagon Model #1529 Two-Door Handyman accounted for only 1% of total manufacturing for the year making this a very rare and desirable vehicle.  The body panel styling was one-year only and provides a very distinctive look.  This early example, built in Altanta, GA in November 1954, is a project car in need of a complete restoration. The exterior body is in good shape with little or no rust other than some superficial areas where paint is missing and the elements left their mark.  The front grill, marker lights, headlights and headlight bezels are in place as well as the hard-to-find stylish hood ornament.  The driver’s side front fender is missing its “Chevrolet” script emblem and the driver’s side rear side glass area is missing a piece of vertical metal trim.  There are no bumpers with the wagon.  All of glass is in place and looks to be the original units.  The driver’s side rear side glass does have a vertical crack in it.  The rear tailgate has the handle in place as well as the emblem in the center area below the window.  Rust is evident and several sides of the lower tailgate and upper hinged rear window area.  The floor boards look to be quite solid with no visible rust showing as well as the door jamb and sill areas.  The engine compartment looks clean with no signs or rust or damage.  The firewall is straight save for a hole cut in the center area.   The interior has both the front and rear seats in place.  The upholstery is all there, however quite old and dirty.  This Handyman does not have any running gear – no engine or transmission nor is there a transmission cross member present.  There are no spare parts that go with the vehicle nor are there any keys.  This classic 1955 150 Station Wagon has a solid foundation and would make a great candidate for restoration.    Stock Number:  HC4027VIN:  A55A010322Miles:  16,817 miles showing on the odometer (this vehicle will be sold as mileage EXEMPT)Trim Tag Info:  Build date November 1954 Atlanta, GA) Paint Code 599 (Sea Mist Green/Neptune Green Two Tone) Trim Code 524 (Green)Equipment:  Manual Steering, Manual BrakesItems Included with the Car:  NoneCondition Code:  (5) * (see condition code chart for explanation of category codes 1-5)Warranty:  This vehicle is being sold AS-IS To learn more about condition codes, the term “numbers matching”, conditions of sale, and Hendrick Performance, please see the bottom of this page for details and clarification. ... It was most popular with police, state governments, small businesses, economy-minded consumers and hot rodders.True to Chevrolets vision, the 150 was no-frills basic transportation. It had limited options, stark trim, solid colors, heavy duty upholstery and rubberized flooring. Small things like ashtrays, cigarette lighters, and even mirrors were extra cost options. Compared to the mid-level Two-Ten or premium Bel Air models. The Chevrolet Sedan Delivery was part of the One-Fifty line and was also designated 1508 in the truck line.Body style choices were also limited to sedans, Handyman wagons (four-door in 1953 1954, two-door in 1955 1957) and (until 1955) the club coupe. The only body styles specific to the One-Fifty were decidedly fleet oriented the sedan delivery (a 2-door wagon without rear windows and the rear seat removed) and the business sedan a 2-door sedan with immobile rear windows and back seat removed. Powertrain choices were limited to manual transmissions until 1954. In 1957, a full race-ready version was also available, commonly known as the "Black Widow" for its black-and-white paint color. It was equipped with 4-wheel heavy-duty brakes, 6-lug wheels and dual shock absorbers.... Read more

1955 Chevrolet 150 Ford started the trend in 1949 but Chevrolet soon caught up in 1955 when they incorporated the shoebox design fully into their cars. This was a big turning point for Chevrolet and was a major success. This year also brought the first successful Chevy with the optional V8 motor which designed to be lighter, smaller but more powerful than other V8s in the industry. This 1955 Chevrolet is an absolutely beautiful car and is considered a 150. It has had a full rotisserie restoration and is pretty much perfect throughout. It is like looking at a 55 that just rolled off the factory line except it may be even nicer! Over $70K was spent on the restoration and that just includes the parts, etc and not the labor. It was found in a barn with 27,174 original miles. Based on some of the oil change stickers that were on the car when found there is a good chance those are the original miles. On top of that this car was an early production car and number 14 off the line. Take a look at the undercarriage and you get a good idea of how extremely clean this car is. It is truly destined for a high level collection or even museum, it is that nice. It sits on the stock chassis that was entirely rebuilt. the body is laser straight with zero rust or body filler issues. It is painted in a Neptune Green color with an Ivory top. The paint is slick and looks great. All of the factory style stainless steel trim is brand new as is all of the chrome. The car rides on the original style stock wheels which are painted to match and fitted with dog dish hubcaps. Under the hood is a nice crate 350 V8 motor that runs extremely well. The car has around 1,000 miles on it since completed so this motor has a long life ahead of it. It has stock style look with most of the components painted Chevrolet Orange or Black. It is paired with a Saginaw 3 speed manual transmission with overdrive and a 9 inch Ford rear end. It is set up to be a nice cruiser and at 70 miles per hour the tach shows around 2,000 rpms. It has disc brakes on all four and they arent power assisted but have no issues. It really drives well and sounds great with a dual x pipe exhaust system. The electrical system has no problems and utilizes an American Auto Wire harness. The interior of the car is complete in a two tone Gray and Black. The car is unique in that it was restored to a utility sedan meaning it has no back seat. If you were a traveling salesman back in the day this is the type of car you drove. It has a ton of storage space and the rear compartment was finished out well. The split bench seat up front looks good and the upholstery is new. The dash is very nicely done as well and has that original look. The only real aftermarket component is the Vintage AC and even that was installed using a factory looking compressor under the hood. If you are looking for an original style 55 but want the best then look no further. The pictures really dont do it justice. This thing would look right at home sitting in a museum somewhere as it is the closest thing to a new 55 a lot of us will ever get to see. Check it out in person and you will realize it is worth a lot more than our asking price of $61,750.00!... Read more

1953 Chevrolet 150 series Custom If you grew up in the 50s and are ready for a flashback then this 53 Chevy is definitely something to check out. The car is a true old school custom that has all of those classic 50s features and customizations people were doing back in the day. The old school look is something that many car builders are trying to replicate but a real vintage hotrodder can easily spot the real old school from the imposters. Back in the 50s era not everyone had George Barris money to make a wild custom so you saw a lot of the hotrodders investing what they did have...time. Plus, more often then not the cars being built didnt have all of the luxuries your mother would have wanted in her daily driver. These guys cared more about making a cool looking, great driving custom. Everyone who walks up to this 53 is astounded by its striking appearance. The customizations are subtle and detailed resulting in a 53 Chevy that looks like what Chevrolet should have been building in the first place. The car is a 2 door and the body very solid. It is a Nebraska car and all rust free. It is painted in a PPG Indigo Blue metallic that really looks great on the car. As you can see in the pictures, the color can take on a darker appearance at certain times but that metallic shines out in the sun. It is a gorgeous color. To insure it is all ready with nothing needed for the new owner the left rear fender was just touched up a few months ago. That should speak for the quality of this car because if it ever needs anything, it gets done. The one piece hood is nosed and decked with 152 louvers added. The grill has been rechromed and 3 teeth were removed and the holes filled for a unique look. It has 1 piece front and rear California bumpers which have been rechromed. The doors are shaved of the door handles and the rear deck emblems shaved. The license plate was also relocated to the bumper. The car has 54 taillight housings and custom "Lee" taillight lenses. All of the glass is in good condition and it has a tinted front windshield. The car rides on 15 painted to match wheels with the rear wheels being widened 2 inches. The correct 1953 dog dish hubcaps are also available and come with the car. Wide white wall Diamond Back radial tires wrap around the wheels and are in good condition with plenty of life left. 2" drop spindles were added up front with 2" lowering blocks in the rear to get the stance a little lower and it makes a huge difference in the profile of the car. Under the hood of this classic custom is the original 235 c.i. inline 6 cylinder motor that has just been entirely redone. The motor was completely rebuilt by a well known NASCAR engine builder using only the best components throughout. The parts used were recommended by Tom Langdon who worked for a GM Tech center for 30 years and now runs Langdons Stovebolt 6 where he specializes in high performance parts for vintage inline 6 motors. The engine runs very well and also has that old school look being fitted with brand new dual 2 barrel Carter Weber carburetors, chrome helmet style Spun aluminum air cleaners, an Offenhauser intake, split exhaust manifold, polished stainless steel cylinder head/side plate and a very cool Offenhauser cast aluminum valve cover. The motor has about 500 miles on in so it is well broken in and the valves have been lashed along the way. The original factory blow by system has been redone with a new PVC system. 6 cylinder owners will note how nice of a feature this is. The original set ups blew oil all on your undercarriage and would leak because that is just the way they were designed. The car is now leak free due to the PVC set up. With the rebuild the car was also converted to a 12 volt system so it has a brand new battery and American Autowire 15 kit. A new polished aluminum radiator was just added and has zero heating issues. The sound is delivered through dual straight pipes with no mufflers and pencil tips. Paired with the motor is a 3 speed manual transmission with a custom Mr. Gasket floor shifter. It moves through the gears with ease. The drums and steering system is all original but work very well. The gas tank has been redone as well as the starter and new solenoid. New front springs were also just added with cut 1.5" coils. To see how complete the rebuild truly is check out the following table. This is based on the receipt for the work showing what all was replaced or redone by the mechanic and machine shop. Parts Pistons and rings Rod bearings Main bearings Cam bearings Camshaft Lifters Spark plugs Valve seats Push rods Radiator Mini HEI ignition Machine Shop Bore Block Hone Block Recondition Rods Grind Crankshaft Resurface Block Resurface Head Drill and Tap Crank Gaskets Rear Main Oil Seal Valve Guides Valves Valve Cover Coating Oil Filter Adapter Lines and Fittings Inside you will find the original style radio delete interior except for a few upgrades. Stewart Warner gauges were added to the car and a 5000RPM tachometer with solid state box, all of which are working properly. A 1959/1960 Impala steering wheel was also added which is a customization all old hotrodders will recognize from their days of building custom cars. The upholstery was all redone this year which includes the new headliner. It also received a new front rubber floor mat and new chrome latch seat belts. It has a custom Pabst Blue Ribbon keg shifter knob and also has a custom front console with cupholders. Other cool features are that the glove box door has been signed by famous customizer Gene Winfield and of course all of the awards the car has won. It is consistently a winner at Goodguys and NSRA and the car is a NSRA 23 point car. It also was picked for the 2013 Calvacade of Customs at the Detroit International Auto Show at the COBO Center. It comes with the like new jacket that the award winners receive. This is one well built car and worth a lot more than our asking price of $28,500.00! BIG REDUCTION DOWN TO $24,000.00!... Read more

1957 Chevrolet 150 Sedan This cool 57 has the classic 50s look but a few choice customizations add a bit of toughness that really sets it apart. The car was built in 2010 and completely disassembled. The body off build was very well done and the odometer was replaced at that time so the 9,649 miles is accurate to the build date. The body is very straight and all rust free. The Pearl Silver paint has a beautiful shine and the fin/deck color is Pearl White. All of the original style trim is mounted cleanly in place and has a nice shine along with the chrome. The glass is all in good condition and is smoke glass which contrasts nicely against the body colors. The car rides on a set of nice Weld Racing wheels with Chevy logo center caps. The tubbed rear and those wide rear wheels arent just for looks because the entire stock drivetrain was changed out from front to back. It is now powered by a Chevy Performance ZZ4 350/355hp motor backed by a 700R4 automatic transmission with shift kit and Ford 9 inch positrac rear end (3.93 gears). The engine is topped with a Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor and finned Edelbrock air cleaner. It has a great sound with 2 1/2 inch exhaust that moves through Flowmaster mufflers and exits out of the rear. The radiator support is painted in a nice gloss Black and holds the Jack Matson aluminum radiator. That along with the electric fan keeps the car running cool in any weather. The car is very comfortable to drive with power steering and power brakes making it a really enjoyable car to take out. It has 4 wheel Willwood disc brakes which slow it to a stop with ease. An American Auto wiring kit eliminates any electrical problems and keeps the electrical wires all organized. One of the very cool features of this car is the fact that it is a factory radio and clock delete car and remains that way today. This gives the dash a very clean look free from clutter. Everyone likes to cruise around with music though so a hidden Kenwood stereo has been added to the trunk along with a Rockford Fosgate 300 amp. The upholstery is in great shape and is the original cloud style pattern. The gauges were all replaced and work properly. The underdash AC blows cold and it is a Vintage AC/Heat system. In front of the driver sits the Tilt Ididit column topped with an aftermarket wheel with Chevy bowtie horn button. The trunk features the original style mat and in addition to the stereo it houses the battery. This cool 57 is a fun driving car and looks great rolling down the road. Having a vintage look with modern performance makes it ideal for anyone looking to get into the hobby. Take it home for $55,000.00! NOW REDUCED DOWN TO $49,950.00!... Read more

1957 Chevrolet - Custom Black Widow If you have heard of the legendary Black Widow 57 then odds are you know the story of Buck Baker and his pursuit of the Nascar championship. He entered the season with the 57 Chevrolet but Corvette powered Black Widow only to have the rules changed on him after 4 races when NASCAR banned fuel injected motors. Buck modified his 283 to run with a single 4 barrel carburetor and with the car went on to win 17 races and bring home with 1957 NASCAR championship. There were a few Black Widow cars made in the winter of 56 and 57 in Atlanta, Georgia. The cars were 100% Chevrolet but the motors came out of the 57 Corvette, the suspension out of Chevrolet trucks and although appearing like a stock 57 from the outside were redone throughout. This 57 Chevrolet was inspired by Buck and his Black Widow but brings it into the modern era. The goal was to build a Black Widow using the same Black and White 150 stock appearing 57 but completely updating it with a Corvette drive train and suspension. The build was completed in 2007 and was totally successful. What resulted was an extremely cool custom 57 with the same theme of the original Black Widow car. It even has the factory radio delete dash! The body of the car is in great condition and all rust free. It is painted in the Black and White Black widow combo and has a beautiful finish. The build was completely body off and the body was sand blasted, dipped and Rhino undercoated. Every nut, bolt and screw was replaced throughout. All of the factory style chrome/trim is there. American Racing wheels sit under all four corners and the tires have plenty of life left. The only hint that the car isnt stock is the custom wheels and a small fuel injected badge on the rear fenders. Other than that the car is a sleeper, of course until you see it run! The LS2 all aluminum Corvette fuel injected motor under the hood propels the car like a rocket ship and puts out 400+ horsepower. It has a complete computer controlled NOS system with CAT exhaust. The rail covers have been custom painted with sign style Black Widow lettering and very nice striping work. Megaflow mufflers are in place and deliver a nice sound. Cooling is not an issue with the all aluminum radiator/fan set up and being in Texas you can bet it has been put to the test. Paired with the motor is a Corvette LL700R transmission with 3.06 gears. Sticking with the Black Widow theme of 100% Chevrolet the rest of the drive train and suspension has been updated similarly. It has a Corvette rack and pinion steering system with variable power boost. The brakes are all Corvette disks with a Bosch Hydroboost system and all of the lines were completely updated with the build as well. Up front the suspension was changed out with a Corvette C4 independent aluminum A arm system with coil over shocks. In back is a polished Corvette C4 independent aluminum rear suspension with coil over shocks as well. The original gas tank was taken out and a 25 gallon stainless steel fuel cell installed with a high performance pump. The interior is done in Black and utilizes the original style upholstery. The dash is the rare radio and heater delete option which is what you would find in most racecars. The dash is painted in a Black and Silver combo which looks nice. The original gauge pod is in place but the gauges have been upgraded with more modern White faced gauges. The trunk has the original style floor mat and offers plenty of extra storage space. The battery was also relocated to the trunk to unclutter the engine compartment while still giving you easy access in case it needs to be changed out or jumped. This is an extremely fun car that needs nothing but a new owner to drive and enjoy it! If you would like to learn about the Black Widow history a quick google search for "1957 Chevrolet Black Widow" will reveal a ton of information. There are websites and articles completely dedicated to the Black Widow cars and it is a neat story. Own this piece of history for $130,000.00! NOW REDUCED DOWN TO $115,000.00!... Read more
