Classic luxury fans know to pay attention when a car like this 1962 Cadillac Fleetwood 75 sedan becomes available. Reserved only for the top elite, these always command respect. So to find one so complete and with a few nice modern upgrades makes this a true upper-echelon stunner. You instantly knew someone special was arriving when you saw one of these long-wheelbase Caddys pulling up. These Series 75 sedans had a distinct look and tall roof line that instantly conveyed opulence. In fact, the same money at the Chevy dealership in 62 could have bought a top-of-the-line trio with an Impala wagon, sport coupe, and convertible all with V8s. And there would have been enough left over to fill the gas tank a few times! Because of this pricing level, these Fleetwoods were sold as limousines. That means a sedan like this is the rarest Cadillac they sold with less than 700 examples made in 1962. So just imagine how many have survived to be this complete over 55 years later! The wide grille, form-fitting bumpers, rear fender skirts, and iconic tailfins it all shows you this example has been treated with care. The original black has been traded in a while ago. But its hard to tell it this long sedan was anything but Woodrose Pink all its life, because all the details were covered - from the full-length side trim to the slats in the factory wheel covers. And lets face it, who doesnt love a premium pink Cadillac? The consignor states that $13k was invested in updating the interior, and we think it was money well spent. The gray leather seats with exterior-matching inserts kick off a fully coordinated package with the door panels, carpeting, headliner, trunk, and dash. The front gets plush power adjustable bucket seats with an armrest and cup holder center console. Theres even an AM/FM/CD/XM stereo with modern Bluetooth. But even with all these upgrades, nothing really beats the view from Cadillacs classic skinny dual spoke steering wheel. It gives you a terrific view of everything from the ultra-wide speedometer, to the power window switches at the base of the wraparound windshield. But in a car like this, the rear is just as important as the front. There is a limousine level of legroom, and it even has great vintage elements like the provisions for rear air conditioning. But just like the front seats, theres also modern conveniences, too. The custom storage cabinet, cup holders, and overhead DVD player mean this classic Caddy is still ready for a comfy road trip. Cadillacs 390 cubic-inch motor fills this engine bay properly with big power. This V8 looks fantastically well presented with the blue block and valve covers hiding under the tidy black belts, hoses, and air grabber. The consignor states that the motor was rebuilt less than 700 miles ago, and the way it fires up with ease backs that up nicely. With an advertised 325 horsepower, it has the kind of legs to be strong around town and cruise at 70 MPH on the highway. Plus, with a Hydramatic transmission, new power brake booster, new rear air shocks, new universal joints, and power steering this has the right features to continue the Series 75 Fleetwoods tradition of opulence. Complete with build receipts, this is an exceptionally rare classic that we know wont stay available for long. So if you love the best Caddys, dont miss this deal. Call now!

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1960 Cadillac Fleetwood for your consideration. This Cadillac is finished in a Tan exterior and a Tan cloth interior. Under the hood is a 390ci 4-barrel V8 with a 4-speed Hydramatic automatic. Equipped from the factory this Cadillac came with power brakes, power windows, power steering, heater and air conditioning that blows cold as ice! This Cadillac is fairly original and has been very well taken care of. This Fleetwood makes a great driver and rides very smooth, please call or email us today for more information.1960 saw new (shorter) rear fins, and a cleaner side-trim design, as well as a rear "grille" design shared with Eldorado. The Sixty Special was also distinguished by a new front fender-mounted cloisonne "Sixty Special" emblem. Wheelbase remained 130 in (3,300 mm), and the $6,233 price was the same as in 1959. New for 1960 was a standard vinyl roof covering, and the small chrome "louvers" returned (first seen in 1942, last seen in 1956) mounted on the rear fenders, just ahead of the tail lights. Power steering and brakes were standard. To see over 80 photos of this car, including under carriage please visit our website www.grautogallery.com
This Cadillac 75 Series Limousine was designed by a pioneer in transportation design; Harley Earl. The 75 Series Limousines had a stately appearance and the basic design remained unchanged for nearly a decade. Standard equipment on the 75 series consisted of large wheel discs, fender skirts, stainless steel running boards, and moldings on the hood, side of the car, and on the lower belt-line. This Cadillac was once owned by Aviation Pioneer Glenn Martin whose company - or part of it- after a number of mergers over the years is now known as Lockheed-Martin. (See black and white photo in photo set to see photo of Glenn, his Mother Minta, his driver/chauffeur, this Cadillac, and one of his airplanes in the background.) The exterior is in very good condition - solid and straight body and frame, the car had one repaint in the original black color, and only some of the chrome trim was removed to do that. The chrome is all original and in very good condition for its age. There is fading of the chrome in a few areas on the front and rear bumpers as well as some of the rear light trim. The highly original interior is very well optioned for its day. The more that one looks at the interior, the more small, well thought out design details are noticeable. Inside this impressive car we find a black leather bench seat in front, power windows (including divider window), all metal chrome trim throughout, real wood trim, numerous storage compartments, a foot rest for rear seat passengers, a number of dome lights, and a pair of jump seats. As far as we can tell, the trim level of this car wouldve been Imperial 7-Passenger. This car has a 346ci V8 that produces approximately 150 horsepower. During World War II these engines were used to power M5 and M24 Tanks. This car has 4 wheel hydraulic brakes - with a car that weighs in at about 4800lbs, hydraulic brakes are a welcome assist to stopping this beautiful car. Overall this is a very nice survivor that runs, drives, stops and looks great! This car has a great presence where ever it is seen.
