When Cadillac unveiled the Allante, it was also an announcement that they were once again serious about building high-end luxury cars. With a body by Pininfarina and robust Cadillac mechanicals, this 1992 Cadillac Allante was a beautifully built and stylish machine. And it was priced accordingly, although GM probably lost money on every single one, thanks to a custom-built 747 hauling 56 Allantes at a time to and from Italy for finishing. Today, they represent a great deal of luxury and performance for not much money. This 1992 Cadillac Allante is an extremely clean specimen wrapped in a highly desirable color scheme of bright red over black leather. Pearl white was almost the Allantes signature color, but the read really brings out the chiseled good looks and even driving them around today, you will find most people dont realize its 25 years old. As a hand-assembled car, panel gaps and alignment are better than the rest of the Cadillac line up, and the paint is truly worthy of a $60,000 automobile. Details are clean and crisp, from the traditional Cadillac grille up front to the slick clear taillights that pre-dated the current trend by more than a decade. The black canvas convertible top is in excellent condition, and folds into its well behind the seats where it is covered by a hard shell. Most Allantes were dressed with tan leather, but this one sports a gorgeous black leather interior instead, and its a spectacular contrast to the paint. The leather is in excellent condition and those seats are still as comfortable today as they were in 1992. Cadillac used the Allante to explore new technology, and youll find a set of digital gauges (theyre all fully operational and bright), as well as a computer that will monitor things such as low fluids and even reminds you to turn on your headlights. Automatic climate control was, of course, part of the package, as well as a powerful stereo system that stills sounds great with the top down. The seats have a comfortable, lived-in look, but no signs of damage or neglect, and the trunk compartment looks like new. 1992 was the final year of Cadillacs venerable 4.9 liter OHV V8, which, in Allante trim, made 200 horsepower. Extremely reliable and with enough power to make the Allante a sprightly performer on the road, its the ideal traveling partner when the sun is shining and the top is down. The engine is backed by a 4-speed automatic that delivers crisp shifts and has quick reflexes for when you want to run fast, something this car is more than capable of doing. Underneath, its very clean and shows no signs of rust or structural damage, owing to careful ownership for the past 27 years. It fires up with a subtle bark from the exhaust, which suggests power in a sophisticated way, and pulls cleanly to speeds thatll get you jail time in most states. Factory alloys are in excellent shape and carry recent 16-inch Toyo radials. A V8-powered bright red 2-seater with every luxury feature imaginable for $12 grand? Nice! No, they didnt really unseat the Mercedes SL as the convertible to own, but without the Allante, its doubtful that Cadillac would be enjoying their current renaissance. Isnt it time to treat yourself to a luxury convertible? Call today!
The right color; the right features; and the right price. This 1992 Cadillac Allante delivers a modern luxury experience in a package that is guaranteed to turn heads. You can tell this is a well-maintained car from the moment it comes into view. The factory Pearl White paint has a nice soft but deep glow that makes sure it radiates the moment any light hits the finish. So youll have an instant feeling of pride every time this car comes back from the valet stand. Of course, its more than just the paint that makes this one great. The Pininfarina-designed and built body still has the look of fine Italian craftsmanship thanks to the super-straight sheetmetal. And while many cars have chrome accents, this Caddy shows off some Italian flair with the red style line that hugs the entire perimeter of the car like an unbroken circle. Not only does the black roof look like formalwear on this white car, but when you fold it down you have an even more impressive black leather interior. There are two bucket seats that have been engineered to power adjust you and your passenger to the perfect comfort position. And modern R134a air conditioning means you two can stay comfortable with the top down well into the summer season. The whole interior is center around the driver. So all the controls for the power windows, power locks, AM/FM/CD/cassette stereo, information computer, and cruise control are all within easy reach. Plus, Cadillac was great at engineering an airbag steering wheel that still gives you a full view of the gauges. Thats especially nice because this one has the optional digital readout package. And because youll want to enjoy this grand touring Caddy for plenty of weekend trips, the trunk is large enough to handle luggage and the golf clubs together. Under the hood, the 4.5-liter V8 shows all signs of originality. This multi-port fuel-injection motor was designed to compete with the best in the world. In fact, Cadillac invested heavily in this car because they were out to be a better droptop than the Mercedes SL. So they made sure to hit their makes for powerful and luxurious. Thats why you have features like a four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive, and a luxurious ride. And just like the Europeans, this Allante can hold the road with authority thanks to great driving components like four-wheel disc brakes, ABS, and a fully independent suspension. A nicely package and nicely preserved luxury droptop offered at an obtainable price. This Caddy is exactly what you want, and its ready for you to enjoy the long way home right now. Call today!!!
The Allante was a limited production, two seat luxury roadster designed by Italian coachbuilder Pininfarina and built with Cadillac running gear. It was expensive to produce because the bodies were flown over from Italy to be assembled in Detroit, and only about 3,000 per year were built for its seven-year run. This is a beautiful, fun and rare Cadillac with only 39,000 miles on it that could be yours. Red just seems like the right color for this car. A subtle color on a Cadillac roadster just wouldnt seem right. The lines of the car however are simple and clean. The hood slopes down to a rectangular grill with the Cadillac emblem proudly displayed in the center flanked by rectangular headlights. Body colored bumpers have chrome strips set into them for a little flash and there is a thin chrome line running down the side of the car. Clean lines continue at the back of the car with simple rectangular taillights with Cadillac in script on them. The manually operated convertible roof is black and in addition, there is a Red removable hardtop that is nice for use in the winter and gives the car a whole other look. The car sits on factory alloy wheels with Cadillac centers all around. Open the door and you will find a door panel sets the tone for the interior with a dark brown upper and tan lower. Of-course there are power windows and lock at your fingertips as well as a two-position seat memory switch that controls dual Recaro 12-way adjustable seats that are comfortable and supportive works of German engineering and art. A unique two-spoke wheel sits in front of a digital dashboard with easy to read displays and the original 38,906 miles showing on the odometer. Controls for lights, wipers, and cruise control are at your fingertips just below the display with the climate control system as well as the driver information system within easy reach in the center console. At the bottom of the console is the GM/Bose symphony sound system that was, and still is, a great sounding system. Below the stereo is the T-handle shifter for the 4-speed automatic transmission and in the back, you will find a good-sized trunk plenty big enough for two sets of golf clubs. Under the hood you will find a 4.1-liter V8 with a tuned intake manifold system that feeds high-flow cylinder heads. It sits transversely in the engine bay because this is front wheel drive car, (which is a big reason that the trunk on this car is so large). An F-7 4-speed automatic transmission gets the power to the front wheels and an independent strut type of suspension handles the curves in this roadster without sacrificing Cadillac ride quality. A Bosch antilock brake system operates 4-wheel disc brakes for safety and performance and the rubber meets the road through 225/60R15 tires all around. Check out this fine example of a unique and rare Cadillac. You might be glad you did and end up driving it home.
This 1989 Cadillac PininFarina Allante is presented in Cadillac Red with Tan interior. This Carfax certified Allante shows that most of its life was in the Knoxville, TN with no accidents or damage reported. The digital odometer show 93,190 miles. It has a LQ6 4.5L High Output V8 MFI that produces 200hp and 270ft lbs of torque with a ME9 4 speed Automatic transmission. The 1989 Cadillac Allante is a luxury two-seat convertible built by General Motors and at its time was the most expensive new Cadillac model in the marques history. The car was designed to compete with such cars as the Mercedes-Benz SL line, though it fell short of that car in performance. Cadillac did not produce or sell as many Allante models as it had projected. The cars steep $57,183 base price impacted sales, only 3,296 units for 1989. 1989 and 1990 were great years for the Allant . Cadillac improved it, with the re-tooling of the soft-top, 4.5 engine with 200 + horsepower, 16 wheels, lower headrest, telescopic steering wheel, electronic suspension. But still failed on sales because of its reputation of the 87-88 models. Cadillac needed to do something. And they did. In mid production on the 1990s, they redesigned the Allante again. Thus being the 1990.5 also known as the Phase 2 added a little more to the car and took some things away like the chrome strips around the headlights, the telescopic wheel and the hard top. New to this year was the drivers side airbag, CD player, better suspension and handling, different soft-top boot cover with better mini covers, better sound to the Bose audio system, better designed to the seat switches, And power front latches for the soft-top. Here is a brief history of the Cadillac Allante: The Allant was Cadillacs first venture into the ultra-luxury roadster market. The vehicle was sold from 1987 until 1993, with roughly 21,000 models built over its 7-year production run. The Allant s production was planned at 6,000 units per year; sales figures, howeve
Take a moment to appreciate what it means to have a 1993 Cadillac Allante. Its the final-year for this Italian-styled luxury droptop, and it has the most powerful V8 ever available. So when you find one of these rare and unique machine in a survivor-quality presentation, you soon realize this one is for true connoisseurs. Having the Pininfarina badge on a Cadillac is part of a short but very special tradition. So having your Allante in Euro Red paint just seems like the exact right color to represent a car that was designed and built by the same hands that did the best Ferraris. But also as a red-blooded American, the Northstar V8 badge is very important, too (more on that in a moment.) This trans-Atlantic partnership means you always have a story to tell, but more importantly, it also created one of the most distinctive Caddys ever. The soft line of the overall design are sectioned off by sharp creases that run the full length and width of the car. You can see all the so vividly today because this example has truly been treated with respect from day one. Thats why this one carries the factory paint with such a nice luster, the time is complete, and the factory alloys look like theyve never seen a curb. Just like the exterior, the interior has been cared for like a cherished classic. The two-tone tan is a nice reminder of the Italian style (so is the Pininfarina script ahead of the gearshift.) But the true European influence here were cars like the Mercedes SL. Cadillac was building a world-beater, and so these were loaded with the best features. It starts with the power adjusting leather seats for you and your passenger. The digital dash is a wonder of 90s technology, and when combined with the driver-oriented center stack, it certainly delivers on Cadillacs modern promise of art and science. It offers advanced digital features such as full gauges, AM/FM/CD/cassette stereo, trip computer, and automatic climate control. As true to the Cadillac name, there are plenty more luxury features such as power windows, cruise control, power locks, drivers airbag, and an alarm system. The trunk is big enough to handle much more than a weekends worth of luggage, which makes this the perfect getaway companion even for a golfing weekend. While the great presentation inside and out has you ready to buy, the real reason why you want a final-year 1993 Allante is under the hood. This was the one and only time you could get Cadillacs brilliant 4.6-liter Northstar V8. It produces 295 horsepower, which is a huge 48% bump over the previous year! And because this droptop has been so well preserved thus far, youll be happy to see a nearly factory-fresh presentation under the hood. Extremely reliable and with enough power to make the Allante an athlete on the road, its the ideal traveling partner when the sun is shining and the top is down. And because this was built to take on the best of Europe, driving dynamics were also on the engineers minds. So, it came standard with features such as four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive, and a fully independent suspension that adapts at speed. Finishing this stellar package is the confidence of four-wheel disc brakes, ABS, and Michelin Pilot tires. Complete with the full owners manual packet, this is a standout Caddy convertible amongst standouts. So if youre quick enough, you can get the best of everything at a terrific price. Call now!

This 1992 Cadillac Allante blends everything you love about a luxury convertible Italian styling, a powerful American V8, and the appeal of a low-mileage personal luxury convertible wrapped in a bold red package. And its all offered right now for a terrific price. Euro Red seems to be the perfect factory color for this car. After all, the Allante was designed and hand assembled by Pininfarina the same styling house that is preferred by Ferrari. They were then flown in a special 747 jet from Italy to the USA where Detroit made the final drivetrain assembly. And beyond just the paints name, its a great example of opulence thanks to great care over the years. So the Italian-applied red still brightens up like your favorite wine in the sunshine. The minimal use of chrome and trim makes this car look modern and sleek. Even the black roof is well-coordinated as it looks terrific against the red. But a car like this is meant to be open to the world, and when you do, you get the same appeal of the black against the exterior red. The leather interior shows off a lot of European sophistication, starting with 10-way power adjusting seats designed by Recaro. The digital dash is a wonder of 90s technology, and it certainly delivers on Cadillacs modern promise of art and science. It offers advanced digital features such as full gauges, trip computer, provisions for an AM/FM/CD/cassette stereo, and automatic climate control now blowing cold with R134a A/C. And true to the Cadillac name, there are plenty more luxury features such as cruise control, power windows, power locks, drivers airbag, and an alarm system. The trunk is actually large enough to handle much more than a weekends worth of luggage, so dont forget those golf clubs! What makes this a true personal luxury cruiser is Cadillacs fuel-injected 4.5-liter V8. The clean and tidy presentation tells you this has been treated correctly all its life and the whole car has only averaged less than 2,400 miles annually. So there is nothing getting in the way of unleashing the torque-happy thoroughbred on the open road. In fact, this one was built as Americas answer to the Mercedes SL. Thus, it came standard with great driving features such as four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive and a fully independent suspension. Finishing this great driving package is the confidence of four-wheel disc brakes, ABS, and Pirelli tires on factory alloy wheels. With less than 2,000 produced in 1992 (its rarest year), and the owners manual packet with the sale, this Allante is a great surviving example of automotive opulence - the likes of which we are likely never going to see again. Its amazing such a thoroughbred can be so affordable. Call today!!!

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is proud to make this beautiful 1992 Cadillac Allante available for sale in our Arizona showroom. These gorgeous cars were originally conceptualized as direct competitors for all of the European imports that were in the marketplace at that time. The bodies were all built in Italy by Pininfarina throughout the entire production run from 1987 to 1993. Just over 21,000 were final assembled in the US after the bodies were imported in specially-designed Boeing 747s.By the time this strikingly elegant car was built, Cadillac was using the 4.5L V8 engine that cranked out 200 HP. All used the four speed automatic transmissions, which is exactly what this car has. Brand new, these essentially hand-built luxury sports cars in convertible-only form retailed for $58,470! Add in the low production color on this one of Pearl White (YL3) where only 443 cars were built at an extra cost of $700 and you have one really rare convertible! The unusual production arrangement between Italian body designer Pininfarina and US Based Cadillac resulted in a sport luxury car that was quite pricey coming in at close to $60,000 in 1987. The bodies were shipped in specially equipped Boeing 747s, 56 at a time over the course of 7 years with production totaling 21,430 cars. They were sent from Italy to Detroit, MI where the drivetrains were fitted and finally assembly was finished. The right colors combine with a nicely preserved presentation inside & out to deliver a nice 1992 Cadillac Allante. So the attraction of this V8-powered droptop goes well beyond its affordable price. The Pearl White color is great to have on a sunshine-friendly droptop. After all, it has an extra hint of radiance that gets amplified every time the sunlight hits it. This is done particularly well on this example, because this is believed to be the original application. And the straightness of the body panels tell you the whole car has been treated with respect its whole life. The Allante has one of the best styles of the era, because after all, the bodies were designed and built in Italy by Pininfarina. Yes, the same people who designed amazing Ferraris. And a hint of that prancing horse attitude is seen in the red line that distinctly surrounds the body. You might have also noticed this has a full black pinstripe package, and that looks particularly nice against the black folding roof. And while the Allante has plenty of European style, theres also room from some American-style brightwork on the optional 16-inch Vogue wheels. This is a modern classic, and so the interior delivers modern luxury. You and your passenger get bucket seats by the masters at Recaro. Not only are they power adjustable to the ideal position, but theyre also finished in a supple leather. Just like the exterior, everything inside looks and feels like it has been treated with care since day one. They built this to be a true drivers machine, and thats why all the controls are surrounding you. It includes luxuries like power windows, power locks, a digital information center, and the premium AM/FM/CD/cassette stereo. Plus, the automatic climate control means keeping cool even with the top down in the summer season. A modern classic also means modern safety features like a drivers airbag and anti-lock brakes. Under the hood is the original 4.5-liter V8 motor. It really looks like a time capsule with the clean presentation and all the right factory decals. More importantly, it has received the right care over the years, and we have the maintenance records to prove it. Its a terrific fuel-injected powerhouse that fires up like a modern machine should. It delivers the right mixture of power and torque to be good off the line and ready for effortless cruising. The same goes for the four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive. This has a fully independent suspension and Pirelli tires to deliver a European-level ride quality. Add in cruise control, power steering, and four-wheel disc brakes, and this is the ideal grand touring machine. The sale comes complete with a reproduction window sticker, owners manual, maintenance records, and service manuals. So you know youre getting an impressive and well-respected modern classic for the money. Dont miss out, call today!
