SOLD 11-10-18 ! Please check out my site www.rudys-cjs.com for other Scramblers and CJ7 Jeeps. From tenured www.rudys-cjs.com sole proprietor CJ shop is a genuine value with documented original rot free sheet metal and low mileage. I truly believe this to be a great value. I know it's a bit of money but compared to anything else I see for sale, nothing comes close if you're looking at more than just a shiny paint job..Fyi...More photos and Jeeps on my website. Www.rudys-cjs.comI found a just under 60k original mile Arizona Jeep Scrambler in an airplane hanger in South Texas about 1 year ago with zero rust issues. The last year has been spent using my knowledge base and Jeep CJ specific experience to slowly bring it to the fine machine you see in front of you."Restoration" The most over-used word in the collector car industry. To some it means a slick paint job and new Wal-Mart tires. To others, buy every Chinese part available from the catalog. This Jeep is not considered a restoration by my shop. I can do even more but this Jeep didn't need it and that in itself is reason enough to buy it. The more original a classic car is, the better it is in my experienced opinion. For instance, the dash paint, knobs, JEEP AM FM radio and controls are original to the Jeep. I didn't do this to save time or money. I did it because I could as it really is low mileage and was that clean and I really hate Chinese crap in an American Icon Jeep CJ.The best collector cars aren't restored new from Chinese boxes but healed with original parts as needed and the less they need, the better they are. My sole proprietor CJ specific shop is now over a decade old and I've personally owned hundreds of CJs even before I started my business. I used to have a dumpster on the property to cut up rotten Jeeps that donate rare interior and drivetrain parts that many shops start with to patch up and slick paint over. I know have an ocean container full of just OEM seats and several more full of everything else. The paint on this desert Jeep Scrambler was largely original and faded. I removed the body from the frame and had it fully media blasted and have shown photos of this in bare metal right out of the blast room. No metal work was required. It had no rust to address. All sheet metal is original to the Jeep.It was then pro coated in the original paint color with base / clear on a rotesserie.I installed a 258 engine with the mopar Port EFI kit on it to make this better than new with the best option T5 manual transmission and of course Dana 300 transfer case. Original carburetors on these jeeps are problematic and this EFI kit alleviates the issues caused by ethanol fuels and the low use issues a fine machine like this often has. If AMC had EFI in 1981, they would have never bolted another carb on an intake. This is the single most obvious thing to do to make a CJ more reliable and enjoyable for everyone in the family. The seats are rare original factory CJ high backs w factory console. Original 8" factory wheels. Original very rare rear step bumper w factory end caps. Original AM FM JEEP 2 post radio. Dash panel is in original paint.Interior of tub lined for liveability and longevity. Painted floors scratch easily and are hard to live with. Normally this is done to hide metal work. I do it to suffocate good original metal from rusting AFTER bare metal pictures are shown.New 31" BFG AT tires...not cheap-o rollers most quick flippers use.New bushings throughout.Original Arizona A title with original odometer of course (Actual mileage title copied).Notice the correct windshield frame (not 2 rib Chinese knock off)Excellent collector and driver Jeep Scrambler.I will export the Jeep abroad for international enthusiasts however you need to handle transport.Muscle car and Jeep trades considered. Please call in lieu of email. We can get more done with better communication.Thank you,Rudy
At present I do not have any Jeep CJ-8 Scramblers, CJ-7's or CJ-5's available. I have been dealing in Jeep CJ-8 Scramblers since 1992 and have owned hundreds from projects to mint originals(some with under 1,500 miles on them). All of the Jeep CJ-8 Scramblers in the pictures have sold. Prices for projects start at about $2,000.00 and range to $20,000.00+ for nice originals or restored. Please contact me to discuss your Jeep CJ needs. Bill Mock at (918)333-0748 or cell ( 918)214-5206 or email firstname.lastname@example.org in Bartlesville,OK.
I'm selling my 1981 CJ8 Scramber. I have had the Jeep for several years now and have spent a lot of time and money getting it ready go. It runs good and everything works the way it should and it turns a lot of heads. Some of the recent work includes, rebuilt motor, rebuilt transmission (Just Jeeps), body mounts, Holley 600 carburetor, lights, electrical, dash and rear seat from (Baldy's Jeep Shop), other odd and end things from (Jeep Slop Shop). New paint job and bedlined front and rear bumpers (Simmons Industries). Rebuilt shafts, long tubes and exhaust and brand new 35" KO2's. The jeep has the straight 6 with an automatic transmission and shift very smooth. The Jeep has approximately 6 inches of lift. The Jeep currently has the truck top attached but I also have the full length hard top, soft top and full hard doors. All in all it is a great jeep and it comes with everything plus a few additional parts like twin stick and few other things that I will not be using anymore.
