1979 Chevrolet Scottsdale, completely restored, 350 crate engine, 4 speed manual, 6 inch lift, 10 inch rally wheels. I am the 3rd owner of this truck and I have had it for over 25 years. Must see. Will consider reasonable offers.
Its hard to beat a third generation Chevy stepside 4x4. With a 14-year model run with just incremental updates, even Chevy seemed to agree with that statement. Check out this good-looking example with several nice upgrades and see if it might be just the truck you have been looking for. Presented in a unique shade of Green metallic paint with custom black stripes really differentiates this truck from all the others you will see on the road. The paint has a nice shine to it and reflects the light off the body lines, especially at night as you cruise down the road. Up front, a billet grill surrounded by chrome and underlined by a simple chrome bumper leads the way with a nice clean look. The centerline and leading edge of the hood starts the stripe treatment off. Down the sides it traces the body line of the fender and door as well as catching the fender well lip and extending down the rocker. Chevrolet in script appears in the stripes on the rear fenders and the tailgate finishes off the sharp looking job underlined by a black diamond plate bumper. The bed looks awesome with nicely finished wood and black rails. Open the door and you will find a black interior that is basically stock but with a couple nice touches. The door panels have a patterned upper section with a big armrest that is nice for long-distance cruising. There is also a speaker set into the lower section that pumps the sounds out from the aftermarket stereo that is AM/FM/CD and iPod compatible. There is a two spoke steering wheel with a bowtie horn button and the shifter for the automatic transmission. The dash is a simple but effective layout with the speedometer and tach directly in front of the driver and gauges for fuel, water temp, oil pressure and voltage clearly visible off to the left. Custom wood trim dresses out the right side of the dash and surrounds the transfer case shifter while providing a place to set a few things on top of it. The bench seat has a new cover on it and there is a sliding glass window into the bed. Pop the hood and you will find healthy 350 cubic inch motor set down in a neat and clean engine bay. A chrome Chevrolet air cleaner assembly sits on top of a Holley 4-barrel carburetor and an Edelbrock intake manifold. There are finned aluminum valve covers that along with the intake and block are painted blue. Long tube headers are heat wrapped and lead out to dual Flowmaster mufflers. Signs of good routine maintenance include newer belts and hoses and a new fan shroud. Power flows out through a 3-speed automatic transmission, through the transfer case and out to solid axles front and rear mounted on leaf springs. There are a fresh set of shocks in the rear while up front power steering works with a beefy sway bar to offer good maneuverability in parking lots and good handling on the road. Power front disc brakes provide the stopping power and the rubber meets the road, or the dirt, through 235/75R15 Firestone Destination tires mounted on steel wheels with trim rings. Come on down and check out this sharp looking stepside pickup. It might be just the truck you are looking for.
This 1979 Chevrolet C10 is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The C series line of trucks was extremely successful for the GM company. Though they had multiple revisions throughout its 40-year run the full-size series was one of the longest running lines in auto history. The 80 s seen a huge increase in the amount of people customizing these trucks. The mentality that a truck was just simply used for work was a thing of the past. This example has that old school custom look with the black paint showing extremely well. The Graphics on the side help to break up the paint while enhancing the step-side bed. The louvers on the hood are something that you don t see much of anymore with many considering a lost art form. The mag wheels are in extremely clean condition with the fronts being 225/70/15 s and the rears having a much wider 295/50/15 giving the truck that aggressive look. Under the hood is a very healthy 350 small block that has plenty of power to get this American Classic down the road. The Edelbrock intake allows for more power through the mid and higher RPM range. The 12-bolt Posi Rear end has a set of 3.73 gears giving the perfect mix of down low power and high-end speed allowing for some highway cruising.Lets be honest though a nice smokey 2 wheel burnout dont hurt either. The interior of the cab is clean and rather comfortable with the springs giving just the right amount of support. The headliner is custom with it having some custom molds and then covered with the matching soft cloth material. If you have been wanting a unique vehicle that is a blast to drive this great driving truck is exactly what you need. Options on this 1979 Chevy C10 include; AM/FM/Cassette, Cloth Interior, Seat Belts, Mag Wheels and Radial Tires. Now featured in our Denver showroom is this tastefully modified 1979 Chevrolet C10 with the same drive train that came stock almost 40 years ago! Powering this old stepside pickup truck is a 454 cubic inch V8 that has been bored .030 over and has just over 2,000 miles on the fresh rebuild. During this rebuild it received forged pistons, an RV cam, and capped off with a Holley 750 to feed this big engine. The TH400 transmission is able to transfer this power with ease to the strong 12-bolt rear end equipped with 3.73:1 gears for great off the line torque while not jeopardizing your cruising ability. This truck is not just a power house though, it has been fitted with power disc brakes on all four corners to bring it to a stop quickly and the front suspension has been upgraded to a DJM front suspension kit for a premium ride and better handling. The aftermarket front suspension paired with the power steering makes for a fun ride and out cornering most other trucks on the road! The interior has also been tastefully modified with a reupholstered seat, new dash pad, and billet inserts on the dash and gauge cluster that match the door panels nicely. The red PPG paint fits this truck well and the 1963 Plymouth taillights and louvers added to the rear set this truck apart from the rest! After many years of being loved and enjoyed by the same owner, this 1979 C-10 is ready to be enjoyed by someone new. If you are looking for a fun sporty pickup truck this one is an excellent choice and would be a great platform if you would like to customize it and make it your own.
